My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. It's an absolutely beautiful restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the service was great. The food and margaritas were delicious! The guacamole was the best and freshest I have tasted. The queso with corn was good, too. Get the black and white burrito, you won't regret it. It's huge! My husband loved his birria and pork belly tacos. The hibiscus margarita was really good. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I went to Calaveras during their holiday pop-up bar. We had never been before, and let me tell you the food was PHENOMENAL. It’s been awhile since we have had food that tasty. Service was great considering how busy the joint was. We spoke to the manager, Sara, to tell her know how great of an experience we had. She was so kind! We will definitely be back soon! 10/10 would recommend.

Such a fun environment that was way over the top! The food was unique and the black and white burrito was earth shattering! It was so tasty we will drive out of our way to eat there again!

Upon entrance I was met by kind and courteous staff who instantly made me feel welcome. The seating was great and the atmosphere was very nice. I didn’t go here with the intention of writing a review but I knew I had to rep this establishment shortly after being seated. The waiter arrived with fresh/warm chips and delicious salsa. I’m pretty picky about my chips and salsa and these were perfect! I ordered the street corn for an appetizer to my appetizer. SO good!! Just the right amount of all the ingredients. Queso Blanco with chorizo and corn was next and it was bar none the best I have ever had. Excited for every bite! My drinks came out super fast, my waiter was very attentive and kind. The decor was so nice to look at. It seems no expense was spared with customer appreciation in mind. Very well done Calaveras, I tip my hat to you and your staff, keep up the exceptional work!!! Big shout out to Bevan and Amy for making my experience here so great, I’ll be telling everyone I know!!!

I visited during the Holiday Pop-Up- and was so glad I did! The Birria Empanadas are DIVINE! It was so much fun and delightful- so appreciative of the service since I didn’t have a reservation at that time, but absolutely worth it! 😄

The space was beautiful and inviting. The GM was friendly and helpful. Bevan was a fantastic server. My picky eater finished her tacos before I could count to 10. We laughed and tried each other's food and then shared some ice cream for dessert. We can't wait to go back!

I called and needed a reservation for a birthday party needing to accommodate 22 people and they had me covered. Never being at the restaurant before I was not knowing what to expect. When I showed up they had an area setup for my party with chips and salsa setup. I was blown away.

Then our server Rachael was present, polite, and took care of every need we had. She was amazing.

The restaurant had an amazing decor and the service from the manager to our server was above and beyond expected. Highly recommend.

We go there after we work out for the tacos Great tasting, healthy, etc. We usually order two tacos each, shredded chicken most often, and have sliced jalapeños added to our order. We most often get flour tortillas since the amount of chicken is generous and tends to rip out the corn tortillas while eating. The decor and location are both super convenient. We rarely have difficulty parking. There is an outdoor patio area and it's only a couple doors down from a coffee shop, across from a train station!

Went for lunch with my hubby & son. Loved all the Christmas decorations & festive atmosphere. Our server Breanna was amazing! Had our fill of 2 baskets of chips & 2 bowls of salsa. All our food was delicious (Beef tacos, pork carnitas tacos & beef birrra K.F.C.) ended with some freshly made sopapillas for dessert.

I was here on a Valentine’s Date with my girlfriend and everything was amazing from start to finish! My girlfriend is vegetarian and she was please with the options! I loved my own food, and would definitely come back! Kayla was our server and always made sure we were doing okay and was on top of our service! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Stopped in for afternoon appetizers and a drink. Love the atmosphere with the chandeliers and higher booths so there's a little privacy. Cheese dip is so good! Prices are spot on. We lingered and Brianna was excellent on keeping an eye on us without making us feel we were staying too long. Highly recommend!

Food comes so fast. Our waitress was so helpful with my baby making sure her food came right away. Good food and accommodating to our large family!

The atmosphere, drinks, and service were amazing! The food was average and definitely not worth the price. The Christmas pop up bar was amazing and I loved their Christmas drink menu. The atmosphere and drinks will bring me back.

First off the place is gorgeous! The bar is adorable. The outdoor patio space is also super cute. I love all the flowers on the patio as well. The food is amazing and the drinks were really good too. First time there and I will definitely be back! Hands down this is the best Mexican ive had in Kansas City! I highly recommend the crunchy chicken enchiladas with verde sauce.

I literally walked in to calaveras and started smiling with the decorative atmosphere for the holidays. It was the cherry on top of the already delicious food!

AMAZING! Everything was perfect, from the stunning decor and atmosphere, to the friendly and attentive staff (especially Casey and Tina!), to the expertly crafted drinks and food. And the slushes on the patio 🤌 My new favorite place!

I had a wonderful time here with my family. My daughters order was messed up which wasn’t a big issue because they corrected it but the general manager step in and gave us some drinks for the inconvenience which was really nice. The food was awesome and we set out on the deck which is beautiful at night. I would totally recommend this place.

Great food and drinks presented by knowledgeable staff. Tevaris was a master behind the bar. He knew his spirits and could provide origins of many of the tequilas and mezcals we tried. The drink selection was great and the pours were very affordable. We will be back!

The atmosphere is amazing the service was great. The food is OMG good, my girlfriend who nitpicks everything was like, ok thats good. LoL The drinks tasted very good. Very nice and classy place. Th day of the dead feel is wonderful and elegant. Great date night spot.
