Cinco De Mayo Family Restaurant

Great little Mexican place in a small town. Some friends that used to live in La Grande recommended it and we were glad we stopped while passing through. The service was good and pretty fast for a sit down place. I especially liked the huge bowl of tortilla soup. The presentation was beautiful and it hit the spot on a cold winter day.

I'm new to the area, so I decided to check this restaurant out for lunch after church on Sunday.
I have to be honest, the place looked a little sketchy when I first pulled into the tiny parking lot. But I was pleasantly surprised! A friendly welcome and quiet family seating with a few big screen TVs playing the afternoon NFL game. Chips and salsa arrived quickly. The salsa was a little on the spicy side for me, but I'm a gringo. I ordered shredded beef enchiladas and the seasoning was just right for me and the shredded beef was very tender. Portion of rice and beans was appropriate for the platter. Pepsi refills were always offered. Great service. Great food. Don't let the parking lot fool you. I will definitely eat here again.

Wonderful and authentic Mexican restaurant!! All of our food was delicious and we received great service too! My wife and I both thought the quality and taste of our dishes were fantastic, presented beautifully, and so satisfying. It was our first time at Cinco De Mayo Family Restaurant, and it won't be our last. I highly recommend this Family ran restaurant for your dining needs!!

First time in this establishment & and I felt very welcome. Was taken out to enjoy a few days after my birthday 🎂 and they brought out their staff to sing to me. Happy Birthday with a house complentary of a fresh made very delicious flan. Highly recommend 👌

I ordered the 2 enchiladas with cheese, and for every piece, I had to twist the fork for a few seconds because it was so cheesy. The rice also had the perfect amount of cumin.

The tortilla chips had an old taste to them, but everything else outshone the negatives.

First time eating at Cinco De Mayo but it won't be the last! The service from the staff here was fantastic! This is a truly authentic Mexican restaurant with great traditional dishes. I ordered the Chile Relleno's, and my fiance got the Chalupa Deluxe . The beans and Spanish rice were fantastic, as was my Chile Relleno. They were tasty and flavorful without being overly spicy as some restaurants like Fuego tend to over spice their food. I guess if you make the food super spicy so your customers can't taste how bad their cooking is. 😅 Not to worry though, this place is great and won't disappoint for the price. My only complaint was that there was no ground beef in the Chile Relleno that was listed on the menu. I found out from the waitress later on that you have to request it now when ordering it. Otherwise, you just get a cheese filled Cille Relleno. Despite the discrepancy, I would go back here any time for a meal!

First time eating here. The chips were the best I've ever had. My meal was so good, as was my family's meals. It took a bit for someone to see us and seat us, but after that the service was amazing. Our servers were wonderful. My family and I will definitely come in for more yummy food and I'll recommend your restaurant.

Just the place I've been looking for! I've tried alot of the local places but they just don't come close to Cinco de Mayo. The value for the amount is great in my opinion, the combo is platter size almost the size of a big lasagna. Definitely have earned a repeat client.

Enjoyed a great meal with my family between 5-6pm earlier this evening. Thank you to everyone working there for creating such a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.

I ordered personalized take out lunches, guacamole, churros, chips and salsa for 60 people and it was amazing. Our work staff raved about how great it was and some of the best churros we’ve had! They made the ordering simple, inexpensive, and delivered to our office on time. I will definitely do this again in the future!

One of the few restaurants that serve Dr Pepper, my favorite soda. The service is great and keeps us coming back. Very good value.

The food is always great and the service is top notch. The servers are usually by every 5-10 minutes to refill chips and drinks.

One of the best kept secrets on the Mexican restaurant scene in the Tri Cities. I had vegetarian fajitas - they were excellent! The refried beans and rice were top notch. The food was fast to the table, vegetables were well seasoned, everything was hot. The refried beans and rice were top notch. The corn tortillas were tender, not just stamped out but looked hand made. Kind of hard to find on a side street, could use better signage. Do go - great for a quiet meal.

I had gotten the enchiladas, and it came with really good rice and refried beans. They had brought out one dish, on a table of four, that was put in wrong, they quickly fixed and brought out the correct thing. Wait staff service was great.
For having such a big menu the staff could handle it well and they are all polite.
