Akridge Family Funeral Care

My mother passed away December 6th 2019. Akridge Family Funereal Care was excellent and very professional from the beginning and the end. My mother looked beautiful from her make up, clothing, accessories and hair. They recommend Derrick Hill to help with my mother obituary which was the best person to recommend for obituary. They were very understanding and helpful even after her passing. I would recommend them over anyone else hands down.

The Baker's Family were very pleased with the love and support we received during the loss of our love one Aaron (Coop) Baker they went beyond their duty to help do all they could to ease our pain.

I only know that the work I have seen is professional. Mr Brandon and staff do care for the people. Just starting off in a business has sometimes it challenges, but after all They can only do the best that they can and learn from mistakes as so do We .So I will continue to lift them up in prayer that through God guidance, The Work they do will speak for Them 🙏🙏🙏

Yesterday at the home going of James Langley .The staff acted very professional. Very proud of your dedication in making the hardest time in ones life a little easier.Prayers will always be enroute on your behalf..

At first the rating was going to be 1 star due to the complications. Down to it the complications were poor communication. When dealing with grieving families you must take into consideration how clear communication needs to be. Because of that we had many many issues. But in the end once things were officially sorted out he delivered on his promise and mailed my families remains to me to another country free of charge. So I appreciate you for doing this even though we had a rocky situation I’m glad it worked out in the end.

I would not suggest using this funeral home. My father passed away in July of last year. I live out of state and knew nothing of the funeral homes in the area. At first they seemed so nice but as soon as I left things changed. We received my father's ashes but never received any of the death certificates that we paid for. We called many many times and were told we will call you back with no returned call or that they would look into it and nothing again. This funeral home is extremely unprofessional and does not seem to care about anything after they get paid. They never even posted my father's obituary like they said they would.

I will start with saying that the setting was beautiful inside.
I was very disappointed with the unprofessionalism. Both owners had phones going off during the service and proceeded to answer their phones. They may have been in their back room but the door was open. It was very disrespectful to the family & friends in mourning. There were also a few technical issues with sound and with the PowerPoint. I believe they have the potential to do better but with my experience I was disappointed.

This place looks good on reviews, and was great at first until they got paid, then they quit responding to calls, emails and text messages. I was even lied to, very unprofessional!! I was left clueless and helpless not knowing where my loved one's remains were. Shame on you for taking advantage of a family in their time of need.
