Blue Ribbon Diner

Came in with my family on Mother’s Day lunch. The diner was outrageously busy but the food and service was worth the wait. I ordered the Knife and Fork burger whilst my wife ordered the Applejack Grilled Chicken plate. Absolutely delicious, hot food! Our waitress, Haylee, was outstanding! She had given us amazing service along with being busy! Super nice and attentive. Everyone go support Blue Ribbon Diner in Burlington!

Brought family who was visiting from Connecticut. The atmosphere was perfect for us in our 60s & 70s. The service was perfect– the waitress pulled a couple tables together and of course was sweet, welcoming & professional. The food was, as always, unbelievably delicious. And our guests couldn't believe they could get free drink refills!
... Couldn't have been better. Except maybe a side of CT shoreline seafood!

Food is always good when you go here. Our waitress, though, took forever for drink refills, and then when it came to checkout, she disappeared for a long time with our cards. We had to get another associate to go find her to get our cards.

Great burgers, if you enjoy burgers. Wraps, and daily specials. Desserts must be checked out! Milkshakes are yummy and the Haw River Mud is
a huge, fresh-baked brownie topped with Breyer’s Vanilla Ice Cream, Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, whipped cream & a cherry! More than enough to share! Staff was nice and helpful. Please remember that most restaurants are experiencing staffing issues. BRD is a good place for comfort food. Please alert server if you have allergies. Very considerate attention when I explained my issue.

Clean, friendly diner with great food, service, and prices. The salmon burger is excellent. The apple jack salad dressing is quite good, and they sell it by the pint for about $7. They get really busy during lunch and dinner hours, so it's best to get there early or eat at in-between times. They are not open for breakfast.

Very friendly staff. The food was cooked perfectly. I got the chicken pie, fried okra and Cole slaw. The food was simple yet delicious, and a perfect portion size. I wasn't overly stuffed, but didn't leave hungry. My food out of the kitchen in the blink of an eye, hot and fresh. Not once did I have to ask for a refill on my drink, it was on the table before I could even think to ask for a refill. I will definitely be back next time in in town.

My go-to spot for lunch by myself or with clients & friends. Great service and super quick. Love there homemade blue cheese dressing on the mixed green salad.

We ordered special meals because we wanted them simular but a bit different then was offered. They changed all to exactly what we wanted. You can't go wrong eating at Blue Ribbon Diner.

Love me some Diner. The house ranch is so good! The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We sat at the bar and for my daughter it was a great treat.

The food and the service were absolutely top notch. Would highly recommend this place to anybody that likes good food.

Went here for lunch and Aimee was my waitress/server and she was very sweet, respectful and attentive during my entire visit. This was my first time going to this Blue Ribbon Diner cause I usually go to the Mebane location instead cause I live closer to Mebane but i was in Burlington running errands. Both locations are fantastic and both have the most hospitable and respectful employees and the food here is unbelievable. Very clean dining room and clean bathrooms. I had the fried pickles with ranch dressing for dipping as an appetizer and had the shrimp salad with ranch for the main course and they came to the table in a short amount of time, super fresh and both dishes tasted fabulous. I definitely recommend this place to anybody young or old for some excellent food.

We have just started going to this restaurant. We used to go to the other one until it closed. Food is very good. Peach cobbler is unbeelievable.

This is a restaurant I grew up eating at with my family. 20 years later, it’s still just as yummy. The decor is so fun for locals as well—I enjoy looking at the high school graduate portraits around the diner and finding some of my parents’ friends. Everyone I take to this place finds something they love and has a great time! Now that I don’t live in Burlington, when I visit, I always want to come back here to eat. In my opinion, Blue Ribbon is quintessential Burlington cuisine. Top tier. My favorite restaurant ever!

Everything was prepared quickly and just the way we ordered! The food here is absolutely amazing! We ordered the grilled cheese for my youngest he LOVED it especially since it was extra cheesy with a great cheese pull which he doesn't see often! My other son got the bacon cheese burger and it was huge!! The burger was just as big as the bun very filling and very juicy! My husband got the loco chicken sandwich with sweet and smoky grilled chicken topped with pepper Jack and other fixings! Can you say yum!! I got the chicken fried chicken sandwich and boy oh boy watch out Chick-fil-A!! This sandwich was all white real chicken that was cooked to perfection...super juicy with a good crunch! This was our first visit and we can't wait to get back to try their milkshakes. The vibe here is classic diner with a home town touch from the local school pictures hanging throughout the space.

Great service. We waited a bit to be seated, but later found out that due to heavy rainfall, the restaurant had experienced some rainwater flooding. Beside this, it was a great experience. Absolutely loved the decor and environment. We all had burgers and of course, it was delicious. Thank you, Blue Robbon Diner!

Had lunch with friends and our waitress was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious as usual.

On this visit, I enjoyed the chuck steak, pinto beans, and garden salad. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and moistness of the steak. The salad was iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and maybe cucumber. The only thing that would have improved it would have been onion. The Raspberry Vinaigrette was delicious. I asked for onions to add to my beans, and they were out in a moment. The meal was served with a dinner roll. All of this for less than $13.

I highly recommend this diner.

Good variety of food choices which are very tasty. Reasonable prices. Friendly wait staff. The spaghetti is good. I suggest requesting the sauce on the side as the spaghetti will be thickly covered with it otherwise. Your server will be glad to do it.

Fabulous. Love the old feel dinner atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and had a friendly waitress. Monday blue plate special was delicious. Nothing like homemade chicken pot pie, fried okra, and homemade mashed potatoes for a reasonable price. I even splurged and purchased a piece of sweet potato pie that was out of this world. Yummy!!!
