Clayton Steakhouse

I have been wanting to try Clayton Steakhouse for quite some time now. My wife and I made a reservation for our wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the hostess and seated almost immediately. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic. Service was top notch and fast! The ribeye and filet my wife and I ordered were both cooked to perfection. Both steaks were cooked evenly all the way through. The salad bar was fresh, and their homemade ranch may have been the best I’ve ever had. Lisa went above and beyond to ensure we had the best dining experience. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went to Clayton Steak house for our anniversary. He had a sirloin steak and I had Salmon. The sirloin was very flavorful as I tasted his steak. My salmon was outstanding, the flavor was so good. Also the spinach side was great too, not over seasoned but very fresh tasting. We really enjoyed the meal. The service was just as good as the meal.

It's a small place, but the food was delicious
Well seasoned and cooked steaks. My husband got the pork chop which was packed with flavor and super juicy. Unlimited salad bar with your entree. The waitress was super friendly. And the owner makes all the desserts herself from scratch. We will be returning!

Treat yourself to a premier Clayton dinning establishment! The best and very well attended to salad bar. The French chicken breast is always perfectly prepared and delicious.

Great little place to grab a delicious steak!

My boyfriend and I stopped by on a whim and decided to grab dinner here. When we got there, we were told it would be a 45-minute wait since we didn't have a reservation. That's fine, again, this was spur of the moment. We sat and waited and was informed in a table in the bar area opened we were welcome to take one of those instead as it was first come, first serve. Perfect for us! After about 15 minutes, we were sitting in the bar area.

We started with the daily special scallops, cooked to perfection! The sauces drizzle across the top just brought the flavor to the next level.

We ordered our main course next, I ordered a steak and he ordered the porkchop. While we waited for our food, we were permitted to grab a salad from the salad bar. Fresh ingredients and plenty of choices to build a tasty salad to get your meal going.
The main course arrived and it was excellent! Steak cooked to temp and seasoned wonderfully! The porkchop was thick and seasoned beautifully. Overall, it was a wonderful meal experience, and I'll definitely be going back! I'll just make sure to have a reservation on my next visit.

Our group of 7 enjoyed a fantastic lunch mixed with salmon & salads, steak sandwiches, and cheeseburgers. Must try the BROASTED POTATOES! We were starving and dove in so quickly, I don't have any food pix. You'll just have to go sample for yourself!

We chose the salad bar for lunch because it's always good and fresh! Excellent and friendly service. We went around 11:30 and the restaurant quickly filled up the tables. I highly recommend Clayton Steakhouse.

Excellent food
The salad bar was very fresh and some of the salad dressings like there ranch is made in house. I usually don’t order steak bc the flavor I get at home is usually not there. There’s stakes are very tender and flavorful. Ask for Celine for your server she is awesome. Don’t forget to ask for the strawberry pie. It’s like a milkshake in pie form my wife said

Food was awesome! Get the onion rings and the fried green beans! I got the 12oz New York strip with baked potato and sautéed spinach. Service was exceptional! Atmosphere was comfortable and casual. I will be going back!

Very good restaurant. Staff was Awesome couldn’t ask for a better experience was first time there and was kind of romantic. Food was excellent and salad bar was very fresh!! Will return!!

Took the wife there for lunch on our anniversary and it was very good.
The wife had a rib eye steak cooked medium and the all you can eat salad bar. The steak's temperature was a perfect medium and seasoned very well. Not too salty as some places like to do.
I had the salmon and all you can eat salad bar. The salmon was amazing. I get very nervous ordering salmon outside a seafood restaurant but was very satisfied with the salmon from the Clayton Steakhouse. I will offer this piece of advice. They offer the salmon cooked to a medium well which really surprised me since salmon should never be cooked to that temperature. I asked for it to be prepared medium rare which came out perfect.
For dessert we had their famous Clayton Buttermilk Pie and a Coconut Cream Pie. All their pies are made fresh on premise and very good.
For drinks the wife had a White Russian and I had a Black Russian. At $10 each I find it a little pricey but they were prepared perfectly. In the future I'll probably skip the drinks.
In case you didn't figure it out from the above review I do highly recommend this place. LOL.
By the way, sorry for the lack of pictures of our main proteins but we ate them before I remembered to take a picture. Must of been those drinks. Told you they were good.

Had such a great dining experience here, we were seated right away on a busy Saturday night and our server was prompt and friendly. This place is the sleeper cell of restaurants in Clayton, basic decor but everything is super clean. The salad bar attendant was constantly restocking the bar and looking through the pass, even the stainless fridges were spotless. The sirloin and bone-in ribeye special we ordered was cooked to perfection. We’re looking very much forward to returning!

This unassuming steakhouse is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover." The atmosphere is homey and humble, but the cooking is anything but. Fantastic steaks, heavy steak knives, crisp salad bar, great sides, delicious desserts. Win, win, win, win, win. The filet is killer, ribeye is my runner up, seasoned right and charred to temperature. Love it when I get the opportunity to come here - Clayton Steakhouse never disappoints!

The Clayton Steakhouse blows any chain Steakhouse away! My wife and I both ordered the ribeye both were cooked to perfection it came with two sides both of us picked baked potato and salad bar. Their salad bar is fantastic really fresh vegetables. We have a small bar area with seating for about 8 to 10, a larger meeting room in the rear of the building. And most impressive they had a 99.5 sanitation grade. Do yourself a favor and visit the Clayton Steakhouse.

Small quaint place in the heart of downtown Clayton. It gets packed for a Friday night so a reservation is recommended. We didn't have one and was able to get a table in 20mins. Meal comes with the salad bar included but you can opt out of the salad and get an extra side. It is pricey but well worth the price. The different pies they had was hard to pick from but the buttermilk pie was so good! Definitely going back.

The food here was quite good. The service was terrific. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. This place is located in downtown Clayton. It is not the most aesthetically pleasing building in the world but one gets their money's worth.

We love Clayton Steakhouse. Great food and friendly small town (still!) atmosphere. Exceptional salad bar always keeps us coming back.

First time here and we need to had lunch, they had a great steak sandwiches and they had a salad bar too, staff is nice making sure everything is well.

Hands down best salad bar in Clayton. This steak house is right In the middle of downtown Clayton.
The owners are personable and available. They have a wonderful menu, great steaks and a fantastic salad bar.

If you haven't tried Clayton Steak House, I strongly suggest it. We went there for dinner and was extremely impressed. We had 7 in our party. We had reservations. The steaks were perfect, and no additional seasoning or steak sauce needed. The meals came with salad bar, a side and texas toast. I also suggest their homemade pies. Our waitress was great.
The beer was cold, and the food was perfect.

It was so nice to have an amazing dining experience. Please try it.
