I grew up on this place

I currently live in the Raleigh area and have been known to drive ALL THE WAY BACK TO J'VILLE just for their unbelievable hush puppies. This place is an institution in Jacksonville and it's absolutely wonderful. I may have to take another trip back home....real soon!

The hushpuppies recipe hasn't changed at all. However someone in the kitchen needs to know how to but a little salt and pepper on the wings before you fry them. Tasteless wings

Some of the best hush puppies you will ever eat. The place is not much to look at. But the food is second to none. Would highly advise someone to try them out. Cat fish and hushpuppies, umm umm ummm.
Ain't nothing better.

The BEST fried goodies on Earth!
I was stationed at MCAS New River from 1989 to 1993. The Ark was my favorite place to eat. The flounder plate was killer with the BEST hush puppies I have ever had. I am so glad they are still im business. May they be there another 100 years. If anyone who works there could give me the hush puppy recipe I would be in your debt. Request me on Facebook if you do.

This food was awesome. Come in and try you won't be disappointed and I know my food! Got the shrimp and fries, and tuna sandwich baby you will won't to kiss the chef. Oh ps there is a philly chicken sandwich word on the street it's good but don't take my word order it

Very old establishment that makes great seafood and chicken. Probably the most noteworthy item on the menu is the hush puppies, which are light and a little sweet.

This is not a restaurant. It is strictly take out. Food is reasonably priced. Wed and Fri are buy 10 wings get 10 free.

The ARK Restaurant has remained family owned and operated for 70 years! Best batter-style hushpuppies, hand-dipped chicken and fish.

The ARK has the best wings in Jacksonville. Flavorful and saucy and meaty. So happy to have come across them!

Great food and great prices. Food is fresh so plan on waiting about 20 mins. Take out only. Worth the wait.

Best fried chicken I've had in years place is a little rough around the edges but don't let that fool you try it an see.

This is one of the few places left that are so good I'll always come back. On certain days of the week it is best to call ahead.

I was stationed at Camp Lejeune 82-85. The chicken was awesome. Maybe I make there again one day.
