I was admitted via ambulance on 4/21. Dr and the nurses were amazing, made sure I was comfortable, they wasted no time. Some nurse and I had few good laughs which is therapeutic. End up being transported to downtown. I normally go to Berkeley Roper, that’s another story. This hospital will be my primary ER if I need to go. Thanks for all you do! You are appreciated ❣

From start to finish my experience was amazing. My husband I are were blessed with a healthy baby boy last friday. Dr.Gleaton was able to deliver our baby at this new location. She is amazing and anyone looking for an OBGYN would be lucky to have her. She takes the time to remember you. She even remembered my oldest son and mothers name. You wont feel like just a number. Anytime I've come to her with a concern she has followed through the steps to address it. I can go on forever. The staff at the hospital was amazing as well. I was originally given doctor Akon to help with my delivery if Gleaton wasnt able to make it. He was kind and very considerate. And the anesthesiologist ,nursing and tech staff were amazing. They kept my mind off the pain and encouraged me through the rough parts. Thank you for getting my baby here safe!

The two stars belong to the incredibly nice staff. Everyone was very friendly and professional. The other 3 can be earned by fixing some major communication issues. Communication is nonexistent unless sought out on the patient's behalf. It took three separate phone calls to receive updates on my mother's condition. One message that was never returned, one call that led to a "this service is currently not working, and one call directed by the operator to an entirely wrong department. Thankfully, that nurse was kind enough to get my contact information to the correct nurse. Considering no visitors are allowed, regular updates, even once daily, should be a regular shift duty. The communication is obviously lacking in-house as well. After being told she would be released at approximately 10:30 am, once oxygen was obtained to send home with her, it wasn't until 3 pm she was told it was the weekend and they were unable to get the oxygen. Why so many hours to determine this and, more importantly, what!? She was then discharged around 5 pm with multiple, unfilled prescriptions, two of which she needed that same evening. Why was she not sent home with at least the night's dose or, at the very least, had it called in by one of the doctors so it could have been picked up earlier? Being a Saturday, it was a rush to find a pharmacy to fill these an hour before closing. Oh, and, by the way, the one cost over $400, but they forgot to give her the paperwork to fill out to get it at a reduced cost. Overall, the care was adequate, but with several very frustrating weaknesses.

Sitting here forever waiting to get my blood drawn in the 300 building. The old black nasty B who always has a bad attitude is here again and as usual she is doing nothing but listening to Christian music in her cubicle…some Christian she talks to people like we do not belong here and I can’t believe how she still has a job!

The Lab people are great, but it’s evident that they do not have enough people to actually do the service offered at this location. Every time it’s a 2+ hour wait.

I arrived here at 420pm. I understand this is late in the day however I work, so I raced there as fast as I could. As soon as I got there, the pregnant lady at the front desk said, “ your late, it’s Friday, I want to go home.” I get it, I just apologized. She went to the back and loudly said to the lady drawing blood that I was The last one, she was ready to go. I called ahead to confirm they were open until 5. No one wants blood drawn, I was there because I had to be, I don’t want to be guilted while I’m already stressed about other health issues.I was sent to the lab from a doctor on the floor BELOW THE LAB. The lab is on the 300 floor, my doctor is on the 200 floor. The girl at the desk said she never heard of that doctor and she didn’t have my order. It was sent three days ago. I called my doctors office to confirm, they gave me the time and FAX ID. It had been sent. I told the now two ladies at the front desk ganging up on me because they wanted to go home and they said they didn’t have it, if I was telling the truth, why didn’t I just go downstairs and talk to the doctor? I guess they don’t do any type of work on Fridays? My doctors are closed on Friday’s. If I had that option instead of being shamed for coming for bloodwork I would have done that. She said she had no issue sticking me but needed an order that was conveniently gone. No way was I letting some jerk with an attitude jab me with a needle. Roper, I hope you docked both of those ladies pay working today at 434, bc THEY WERE DONE. I mean done. No sticks, no order finding, no communication, no customer service, zero help. I’ll be telling the three doctors that I see there that I will not get blood drawn there. Ever. Do better. Those girls need a manager. My doctor is faxing my order over to my pcp, at least I know there I’ll actually be helped.

Nurse forgot to run lab work adding over an hour to the ER visit for no reason. Nurse acted extremely racist. Did not go over discharge instructions. Left us in a room for over 3 hours with a sick child didn't even give us the remote or tell us the TV worked. When checking the gentleman into the room next to us immediately gave him remote blanket assured him things would be fine all words I heard that I never heard in our room. Left with no answers no relief for my child only to have to take her to another hospital. Will never return will never recommend to anybody. If this is how you guys plan on handling things the land would have been better suited for something else apparently they're only good at delivering babies. If 0 stars were an option that would be my choice.
