I’ve been going here for almost a year and I have nothing but positive things to say. My hair is an important part of my identity and I was a little nervous about coming to a new place after being burned the last time I tried a new hair stylist. A great atmosphere and a stylist who makes you feel comfortable in her chair.
I appreciate how she is always on time and I never have to wait until after my scheduled time (other salons in San Antonio will over book & have you wait 30 mins-1 hour after your scheduled appointment). Good service is hard to find these days let alone great service!!

Damalia was kind, professional and personable! She took the time to teach me about my hair texture and understand my hair goals. Her studio was clean and beautiful. I made my next appointment before leaving! Thank you 🙏🏾

I was recommended here by a young lady and I was highly impressed! Siobahn greeted me and was very interested in learning about my hair routine! She is very knowledgeable on natural hair and the steps I need to take to ensure my healthy hair even when I am not in her chair! I was offered coffee tea and water! This is my first time experiencing a stylist offer and have available refreshments. I got a shampoo and silk press. She got my hair the straightest it has ever been. So thankful her hands are MAGIC! Booked my second appointment in two weeks and I’m looking forward to going back! Thank you so much!

Very professional! She got started on time and I love the results. My hair was very damaged but after this appointment it feels much healthier. I love the emphasis on healthy AND beautiful hair. I highly recommend this hair studio and will be telling all my friends!

Firstly let me say the atmosphere here is amazing. Came in, smells amazing soon as you come in.. I scheduled a curly girl cut. During the consultation she informed me that the first curly cut is usually going to seem shorter than normal because of the shrinkage but as it dries it will drop to a nice shape. Got an amazing shampoo, mask & steam! The cut itself she went over everything step by step letting me know what she was doing and then even afterwards told me how to style and which products she recommends for the best styling! 10/10 recommend. Mrs Damalia is the curl guru and am so happy she’s given my curls life again 🤩

She invests in high quality products, which are available and tailors service to each individual clients wants and needs. The staff is friendly and welcoming and I just love what she has helped me achieve with my hair. I am relaxed but she also specializes in natural hair of every type. If you love quality service from knowledgeable stylists this is the place for you!!

Let me say this, the patience these women had for my hair was AMAZING!!! The work that they had to do was not easy but they got it done and did a beautiful job on my hair. Im already planning on going back. I was recommended by a friend and plan to recommend to others!!!

Sioban is the best stylist that I have had in Texas!! Hands down environment is everything and I am never disappointed with the results. From short to long she KILLS IT!

I'm in tears🥺 after this salon experience not only was my hair at bra length, she cut my hair to ear length,😡 and I only came for a color consultation. and she told me that she couldn't work with my hair in less she trims it but she did a big chop instead I have been natural for four years without a rexlar and I have not straightened it sent 2017 now my hair is ear length so, please don't come here if you are natural and want a professional experience. And I will be letting as many people I know and tell them don't come here because you will be highly disappointed FYI Just because someone has a diploma in hair didn't mean that they know natural hair on their website😡

If you have thick natural hair I highly recommend Arnisa. I have visited this salon twice and here are my reviews of each visit.

Visit #1: My first initial appointment was Arnisa being that I found her on Instagram she really impressed me with her work. She did such a wonderful job and she took great care of me. I felt so comfortable and welcomed with her I sent her a few referrals and they loved her as well.

Visit #2: My second visit to the salon I booked with soiban and unfortunately I got her student assistants. It was the worst experience ever. The assistants did not have enough experience.

They washed and conditioned my hair but they skipped detangling because they said they didn’t know what type of hair I had. I came into the shop with an Afro and I made sure that my hair was combed through and detangled the night before my appointment.

When it was time for my blow dry my hair was knotted and tangled for days. There were two assistants at once combing through my hair. I could feel my hair ripping out and could see clumps of hair everywhere. I ended up with a headache and had to tell them I only need one person combing through the tangles. At that moment I wanted to leave the salon and cry. My scalp was sore and my head was throbbing.

I continued the service because I really wanted my hair cut for my birthday and I also did not want to leave the salon in anger or making a scene.

When they finally took me over to Soiban’s chair I was so uncomfortable. I had an audience of student assistants watching her cut my hair. I was not expecting this at all. Soiban was explaining what she was doing to my hair to the students while they talked about video games. She wasn’t trying to get to know me as a client or talk to me.

For the amount of money I paid I did not experience quality service. I really expected to enjoy my visit at the salon that I recommend to my family and friends to but unfortunately that did not happen.

Seems as if I got the same service as Mrs. London. Appt at 1130 w Siobhan was greeted by here but never got the chance to actually sit in her chair... why? My hair was washed by students horrible job so bad they didn’t ring my hair out and the water poured out the plastic cap and all over the floor and my shirt. Then Siobhan told one of them to blow dry my hair but what happen to getting my hair done by the person I was paying to get it done by? The girl attempted to blow dry my hair with a wide tooth brush???? It was just a horrible experience and at 1245 I said i had enough and that is when I seen Siobhan again the person I originally had my appt with. She came over to ask what’s wrong and I told her but at that point I wasn’t sitting around anymore she proceeded to say the wash was no charge and gave me a 50 off coupon for next time though they will never be a next time. I left with wet hair and half a poorly dryed hair.

Very very disappointed. Got a gift card as a Christmas gift because I never treat myself to any hair/nail service or massage and decided I’d get my hair highlighted. Scheduled appt and after being asked numerous times to confirm, they cancel on me last minute but want me to come in for consultation. I will take my business elsewhere where my time is valued.

STUDENTS BEWARE

This salon is running a student special for a reason. Dont be duped like me. Prices charged are not what is advertised on the site. And the owner will talk down to you for asking. Dont be naive. There is better service for ehar you will be charged. Extremely unprofessional shop.
