Perfect place for a small wedding ceremony. Reasonable pricing. Sheena was absolutely amazing to work with and so sweet. It would be nice if they had their own chairs that you can pay extra for, which would be my only very small complaint. Definitely recommend this spot!!!

Davenport House has an interesting history and has been beautifully restored. The stately home was once a tenement; however, was rescued by seven women who worked together to save the home from demolition for future generations to enjoy.

Over 200 yo house with a very interesting history of growth, decrepitude and glorious restoration. Great stories of the family told by a very well-informed guide.

This is a wonderful organization that has done amazing work saving many of the homes in Savannah (and now the surrounding area) over the past century. The tour of the house is a unique reconstruction of an upper middle class home in Savannah (circa mid 1800s)--really worth a visit! Great and passionate tour guides. Also you can get married in their garden on Valentine's day!

It’s always nice to learn the history and how people live at certain historical period. For sure Davenport House is perfect example of showing us how the, not poor neither wealthy, family lived in mid 19 century.
Tours are running every half hour. We enjoyed our tour and thorough explanation of tour guide.

This was our first house tour in Savannah. What a beautiful house! It was interesting that it was owned/built for a "middle class" family - a contractor who wanted to show his skills in his own home. He certainly did! Although, later, we went through the Owns Thomas home and saw the difference in materials for the wealthy. I guess things never change!

Great experience! Tour was about an hour long. Nice little gift shop. Prepaid for admission using Groupon. May be worth the 3-for-1 package they have that includes the Telfair sites. We were the first tour of the morning. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the visit!

Great tour! It was about 35 minutes or so long not including the 7 minute video at the start. For the price and detail the tour provided, it was well worth it. Love hearing about the house family that built it, and and learning about the history both from its previous despair to the renovation.

Fantastic tour by Happy Kathy. Luckily, we got a private tour and LOVED it. Kathy is very knowledgeable, affable and a joy to be around. The ( known ) history of Mr. Davenport and his family is so interesting as was the history of the home itself. It’s beautifully restored ! We’d definitely return when in the area.

If you love touring old homes you will love this tour. Admission is average but look on groupon for discount tickets. In order to view the home you will have to climb curved stairs that are narrow. You enter at ground level through gift shop go up first level which is the main floor to view those rooms sensitives only office active. The next floor is the bedrooms learned where the saying sleep tight can from in the boys room. Looking forward to visiting again t.in the future when they have the kitchen reinstalled.
