Burnett Junior High School

The one reason why I love coming to this school is Coach P. He is a great person who is always trying to get me to go up, down, one. I always look forward to gym and no other period. Not for the exercise. Just to see the bald smiling face of Coach P. (The five stars is for Coach P, not the school)

I love Burnett it's my last year and made new friends and made good bonds with theacher like my choachs I'm gonna miss this place

The teachers and administrators with whom we had contact were focused on providing top notch education in a healthy and safe environment. Working within the given parameters of budget and time, the teachers here were especially generous with their time to help students master difficult materials.

Any problems with the school stemmed primarily from the state mandated focus on passing standardized tests. It seems an absurd amount of education time is spent preparing for, and taking tests.

That said, the school has an amazing orchestra and band program, reaching a large percentage of the student body with an opportunity to learn music. As well, there is a flourishing theatre program, and lots of clubs for things like robotics and science and advanced academics.

Burnett is well organized. My kid went there.
