Family had a great dinner! Everything ordered something different and all was great! 4 adult meals and 3 kids meal! From chicken fried steak - quesadillas to burgers and a pizza! Thank we really enjoyed!

Lone Star Eatery in Commerce, Texas is an absolute gem! Located just off the highway, it's the first restaurant you'll see and it's worth a visit.

The parking lot was packed, and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Our group started with a round of frozen margaritas, which were delicious and came in a wide variety of flavors. The blue raspberry and mango margaritas were particularly outstanding.

We then ordered the Texas cheese fries, which were crispy, double-fried fries topped with cheese and bacon, served with a side of ranch. They were the perfect appetizer to get our taste buds going.

To our delight, the server brought out a plate of honey rolls with cinnamon butter, which were better than any we've had at other restaurants.

For my main course, I ordered the chicken fried steak with gravy, mac and cheese, and loaded mashed potatoes. The chicken fried steak was huge and cooked to perfection, with a crispy and flaky breading. The sides were equally impressive, with the mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes being standout dishes.

One of my friends got the gigantic baked potato with brisket and barbecue sauce, and they said it was pretty good. We also noticed a buffet set up in the rear of the restaurant, which the server informed us was available daily until 2 PM.

Although we were stuffed after our main courses, we couldn't resist checking out the dessert options. Lone Star Eatery offers an array of choices, including chocolate chip pizza, apple pie, cheesecake, chocolate meltdown (brownie), and cinnamon bread. I wanted to try the cinnamon bread, but I was too full to order it.

Overall, Lone Star Eatery is a must-visit for anyone passing through Commerce. From the delicious food to the friendly service, it's clear that the staff take pride in providing a memorable dining experience. Don't miss out on the blue raspberry margarita, the chicken fried steak, and those amazing honey rolls!

It’s always good when we stop in there to eat on our way home!!
My favorite is the grilled chops they are so flavorful, and the grilled veggies wow such a burst of flavor every time.
My husband’s favorite is the Hamburger steak topped w gravy, onions, and mushrooms. He also loves the meatloaf, not sure still have it. All their pizzas are also good.
Hope y’all give these a try, been coming here a long time and always good.

Great food. Didn’t have to send my steak back. Appetizers were perfect. Extremely friendly waiter. Checked on us plenty. Amazing sweet tea. Would recommend to anyone!

Best experience here!! Had a HUGE baked potato, hubby had the pizza. Both were beyond expectations. Brought home burgers for the kids and both earned rave reviews, even after the 40 minute drive home. We will be back!

Very solid food all around except the nachos. I wouldn't advise getting nachos but everything else is very good especially considering how big the menu is. The kitchen staff definitely is on top of everything back there. Every server i have had is always sweet and attentive.

Jennifer was a brand new waitress but if she hadn’t said anything I wouldn’t have known! Amazing service every time we go with food prepared to perfection. Highly recommend the queso for sure

My favorite place to eat in Commerce! Daily lunch specials, along with day-specific additions to their pizza & salad bar. Food is consistently good. Service is great! Highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner.

First time here all I can say is WOW. AMAZING. Had the steak the flavor was so good everything was fresh. Highly recommend. They have just about everything you can think of. 5 star ⭐

I called In the order and the 2 ribeyes were excellent! Cooked perfect .

They serve you good! Got to eat some bread rolls with cinnamon butter, chips and salsa, and the fried pickles. I recommend the fried pickles and my main dish, the cajun pasta! Their strawberry lemonade was also delicious and it had a real strawberry taste. Their house salad with the raspberry vinaigrette is also a good choice with the pasta. Would return.

They accommodated our large group with little notice. The food was awesome! I tried things from other people's plates and was surprised to see that everything was really good. They have a large menu and managed to deliver flavor to every item. My wife's steak came out overcooked, but they fixed it fast and it was PERFECT the second time around. Service was as exceptional as the food. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular. Price was very fair also.

This is the best home cooking I've had in a long time. I've been trying different foods each week, and we go weekly, to try and find something I don't like.... hasn't happened. Every dish is tasty and satisfying. The servers are kind and friendly and the food is amazing!
