Great place for a burger and I expect from the looks of other orders all the food is good!!!

Open dining and sit where you want makes it easy to find a table that fits your needs and party side. Fun atmosphere with many paintings and local items on the mural.

As a first timer I got the full menu tour with highlights and favorites... our server Easter gave excellent recommendations (which I took)!

My go to burger is a mushroom & swiss... it was awesome (the bun was incredibly soft and fresh)!

A great place for breakfast all day. I had the Migas and it was fabulous. The service was good and friendly. The only downside was that they were mopping and squeegeeing the floors in the dining room (around our table) while us and other folks were eating. I would prefer they do this after hours.

I can not say enough about how great the service and food was. I got the chicken fried steak, it was the best I have had in years. The lunch portion of it will fill up most people. My wife and I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back.

My waiter, Joshua, was phenomenal and very kind. He made sure I was well situated throughout the entire experience. The catfish was sublime, and the sides (mashed potatoes and green beans w/ bacon) were very tasty.

Their Coca-Cola was perfect. As a soda snob, I was very pleased with the syrup-carbonation ratio. The ice was nice and crushed and altogether I enjoyed it.

I noticed they only have one woman's restroom, and the other is a multi-use restroom. No restroom specifically for men's, which was odd, but I didn't care too much.

A fantastic place to bring friends or family or even a first date.

Service was fast, kind and courteous.
We cane for the Chicken Fried Steak and it was delicious.
I recommend the CFS, Fried Okra and Marshed Potatoes with Gravy. Delicious.

The food was excellent. Both my friend and I got all you can eat catfish. The fried pickles are really good. If I lived closer I would eat here frequently. Parking is really difficult and the city is not a place I would want to spend an extended amount of time. Most interestingly I saw a person eat a pancake with their hands which is not something I have seen before and hopefully won't see again.

We have enjoyed meals in the restaurant in the past, but this is the first time we had dinner catered for a group (20). We ordered the grilled chicken (plus one chicken fried steak), green beans, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. We had some specific dietary needs and they were very helpful! EVERYONE (ages 11 - 81) went back for seconds. It was SO good! You can always tell that folks enjoyed dinner when they take leftovers home. The portions were overly generous and the price was very reasonable. Having Cartwright’s cater, freed me to enjoy visiting with family and friends, rather than cooking and washing tons of dishes. It was all done on short notice, too! It was a big win and we will definitely be calling Cartwright’s for future get togethers. Thanks John & John-John for taking great care of us!

Went to breakfast with friends and wanted to try a new breakfast place and I was super impressed!
The staff was so on top of drinks and making you feel comfortable.
The eggs on my meal were cooked to perfection and the corn tortilla were super crisp despite the amazing sauce covering it.
My friends said that there meal was super good and that nothing was undercooked or overcooked.
Again, absolutely loved the staff, they were just so sweet and bent over backwards to get you what you needed.
If you want a good breakfast place to get a quick bite or to gather with friends, this place is perfect.

What a great place to have dinner in Denton. I really enjoyed the great food and great service. We enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak & the Smothered Sirloin Steak. I’d definitely recommend it to others!

Great tasting food right downtown Denton on the square! Service was good and food was hot and fresh! The fried pickles ans fried broccoli was a huge serving between the 4 of us. Texas is definitely bigger ❤ we will return again!! Yum!

Oh how I enjoyed the country fried steak and mashed taters. The service was good and im sorry I forgot my servers name, she was very attentive even though she was visibly busy. It was my first visit but by no means my last. Looking forward to trying something else, though it will be hard knowing the CFS was on point.

I ordered the chili cheese fries and my husband ordered the chilaquiles. They were both very yummy!
We visited on a Saturday morning and place was packed but we didn't have a wait time. Food didn't take long to come out and the waitress was very friendly.

Food is hot n fresh, Southern combfurt food at its best. Takes a little bit to cook due to its fresh but worth it. Service has always been good.

Great place to eat in downtown Denton! Very good service and food. This is a single chicken fried steak plated for two people to split!

The Best Chicken Fried Steak Ever! The Chicken Fried Steak is as big as the plate. I've had the opportunity to eat @ Cartwright's numerous times. Never been disappointed. The owner's, John & Marla are wonderful people. The staff is great as well. My favorite: Chicken Fried Steak. My 2nd Favorite: Chicken Fried Steak!

Awesome food every time we go and very large portions for your money. The chicken fried steak is bigger than your face . The pancakes are fluffy and delicious as well. It's a staple for me and my family. We eat here at least 2 times a month.

We just the opportunity to eat here again. Great again. They are doing a great job staying safe. Glad to have them open.

Gravy was excellent! Everything we ordered was awesome. The portions ate huge and a great value. If you are looking for a good breakfast spot look no further. Service was super friendly. Emilee was fantastic.

I haven't had anything south in my life. I'm from India and I had a chance to try this restaurant I had biscuits with gravy it's really good.
