Walgreens Pharmacy

This pharmacy is always very busy, but the pharmacy personnel is very good and they work through the line quickly. If you get to the counter and wind up in front of “Kim” then count yourself lucky - she’s the best. Friendly, fast, and she will not hesitate to go the extra mile to help you.

I went to pick up my prescription at 6:30 tonight, the pharmacy was slammed. For some reason my insurance wouldn’t go thru, Liza kept trying different things in the system trying to get it to go through. Finally she said she would call my insurance company and find out what the issue is. She did. Liza went above and beyond to make sure I received my prescription. I felt so bad and was beginning to feel discouraged but she really came through for me. Thank you Ma’am. Truly yours, Autumn Stoner

Worst pharmacy in America. It would be quicker to drive to Houston. They could use 4 more people every day, and they would still be slow. If they say your Rx is ready, I promise it is not ready. I would take a photo of the shopping hand baskets, but they won't let me. At least 6-10 not filed. Just randomly tossed in the baskets. Seriously, go anywhere but the 61st location in Galveston.

I chose this pharmacy because they accept my insurance but staff is very rude, not friendly at all. I called to make sure they had received my prescriptions from my doctor and the lady had told me I had to come in to get my insurance verified. I asked her if I’m able to do it over the phone. She said she had to put me on hold because she had someone in drive thru. The way she spoke, was straight attitude. It took two days for my medication to be ready. So I picked up my medication and realized when I got home, she didn’t give me my metformin. The next day I go through the drive thru and same lady was there. I got my medication and I looked in the bag for my debit card, didn’t see it. I asked her for my card and she said it was in a small envelope on the bag. But she rolled her eyes and made a smirk after telling me that. I don’t understand why she was so ugly and because of her I am taking my business elsewhere.

Staff is constantly changing and never trained. Several employees were unable to renew a manufacturer's loyalty program on a prescription. I've NEVER had this problem with walgreens in a "real" city.

Do not go to this pharmacy. They made a major mistake on my cardiology meds with wrong dosage and instead of admitting mistake hung up on me. They need to be reported to pharmacy board and I will do so. I have been put at risk of injury and they will hear back from me as I am an attorney. I am worried about everyone else. Too busy selling meds as fast as they can. NEGLIGENCE.

There is a mean cashier near the door, I don't feel like she wanted to be there. She also told me she was out of the item i wanted, and it was right behind her on the shelf. She got mad at me when I pointed to it behind her, it was not hard to reach.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Lady made me wait 30 MINUTES for a prescription that they messed up on, multiple people in line who got there after me paid before me and I would've been there for another hour if I hadn't gotten up and complained. My medications were sitting on the counter when they finally found them but she still helped other customers in line after and refused to check me out right then and there. Then she tells me the urgent medication I need is OUT OF STOCK at their pharmacy and I had to go to CVS across the street to get them to call in the transfer. An absolute mess of a place, run by people wearing T SHIRTS that look so unprofessional like they're trainees at a preschool . Don't waste your time. Go off the island to another pharmacy if you need to, it's worth it.

Waited 1 1/2 hours for a prescription. Finally gave up and went to Randall's pharmacy. Randall's had it ready in 15 minutes. I know remember why I stopped using Walgreens
