Warhammer Store & Cafe

Had visited a couple of times. Today I called on a long shot that they would have a specific box that recently released.
As luck would have it, they had a few left. Told them I was in route and they took my name down to hold it for me.
I arrived around the projected time, ordered a few drinks from the cafe for my family. Picked up my box and chatted with a pair of employees about getting an army started and some questions about rules for 10th edition.

All in all, twas a great experience. I want to go back to experience some of the games when I have some more time.

I've been a fan of the Warhammer 40,000 ("WH40k") for a couple decades now, mostly through the PC games and extensive Black Library books. I've never really had the time nor the talent to get into the tabletop game. But this place may change all that.

My son is on spring break this week and as a dutiful father, I've been working hard to raise him to be twice the nerd I ever was (no small task!), so it was no surprise that he asked to visit this store nestled in scenic downtown Grapevine, TX. Just upon entering, it is quite a sight to behold! Models, books, and games fill every possible spot on the walls, and many artfully arranged models are arranged in various scenarios or display cases throughout the store.

Unlike your typical ultranerd-hobby-store (I use that term affectionately) vibe where the proprietors tend to be a bit, well... comic-book-store-guy-ish, if you get my meaning -- the folks here are extremely friendly, helpful, and outgoing, clearly passionate about the whole Games Workshop/Warhammer world, and eager to share that passion with any and all comers. They greeted us warmly and offered us help right away, while also not hovering over us, and giving us plenty of room to freely browse at leisure. And once we did have questions, they eagerly gave us an abundance of help! My son left there genuinely excited to get started on his first model build, and I'll note that they offer plenty of hands-on help for newbies like him.

The showroom has an enormous stock of Warhammer (grimdark medieval fantasy with humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, undead, etc.), Warhammer 40k (grimdark far-flung-future space fantasy with space-humans, space-elves, space-dwarves, space-orcs, space-undead, etc.), a decent selection of both the gameplay books and their fiction series for both universes (I highly recommend the Horus Heresy series as a good starting point!), and a collection of other games including some officially licensed Lord of the Rings tabletop miniatures and game accessories.

In addition to the showroom, they've got a huge tabletop play area in the back with massive terrain layouts, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the place hopping with activity on a Monday afternoon. There's also a small Warhammer-themed café in the back with drinks, pastries, and other goodies. I didn't have any, but it looks neat!

Anyway, I'm thrilled that a place like this exists. Even if you're not a fan of the WH/WH40K universes, it's a cool place to visit and look around. You never know-- you might discover a fun new hobby!

Beautiful store with friendly staff. I had a long layover at DFW, so I stopped in to pick up a model they had put on hold for me. Along with a great selection, they also have incredible paint and model showcases. I took a bunch of pics to use as inspiration.

Stopped with a coworker. Didn’t know much about the product but was brought up to speed by a vary helpful employee. Tremendous selection of WH items.

Such a cool store! Just popped in and out but I have never seen such a large store dedicated to RPGs, but this store was at least 90% Warhammer. I am surprised that there are enough fans near GrapeVine to support this store, but apparently there are. It is an exceptional store with many details. Even if you don't play Warhammer, take the time to stop in. It is well worth it!

I could go on for days about how much I love this establishment. The moment that I showed up The staff was ridiculously helpful and needless to say the atmosphere drew me in. I've recently got into the hobby but the moment I got there I couldn't help but spend my money everything was amazing. I even got a figure I wanted for year!! I would Recommend people come to this place even if they don't play it's just an interesting and wonderful place to check out. 10 outta 10

Very cool store. I feel like I can get almost anything Warhammer related I could ever want here.

One of the best places to start a journey involving the games created by Games Workshop. A really friendly group of employees who have all sorts of helpful advice for getting into the hobby. The cafe has a very unique set of apparently amazing themed beverages and the treats aren't bad either. Being located in one of the best spots of Grapevine there are also tons of amazing bars, restaurants, and little shops around for parents or friends to enjoy while you get a paint lesson or match in!

As this is the only GW store in the US that keeps Forgeworld in stock, I knew I had to add it to my vacation road plan. I was not disappointed! They keep a legit amount of forgeworld in stock, offering imperial, chaos, and xenos options as well as having most of the popular regular GW models in stock as well. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and can help you find anything you are looking for, or help you order and ship it if needed. I highly recommend this store!

Very friendly staff who are helpful and informative without seeming naggy. Awesome displays and very well done gaming tables. Some really cool decor including some retro warhammer stuff. They've got Forge World products in stock and a wide selection of standard Warhammer and Warhammer 40k models, plus a HUGE amount of novels.

If you are new to Warhammer or are a veteran of the war this is the place to go. They have paints to try, painted and unpainted models to view if you need inspiration, and all kinds of events. Their staff has always been friendly and can answer questions about any army you play or are interested in. They also have forgeworld models available in store.

Traveled to Tx for work and just happened to walk by. Everyone was very friendly and showed us all the cool designs! Now my wife wants to come back and paint the models. Very cool place!

We had a wonderful experience, My Fiancé and I had been wanting to get into Warhammer for quite some time. We FINALLY bit the hobby "Bullet" and we in on an army. They were kind enough to give us 2 practice models and thus was the first one to be built and painted for testing purposes. I think Our first model was a success. If you ever are curious about the hobby or just want to see how tabletop and Warhammer functions. LOOK NO further than this location.

This place is so cool !!! Such a great place for building with hands and playing large table games. Very good training and help for any games you wanna play or any games you wanna buy and build ! I would come back here again on a day when I have some time to spend playing with a friend or my kids ! And they have a cafe so coffee with games . Love it !

The best Warhammer store in North America. Most everything you could want is in stock, to include Forge World products. Truly impressive game boards, all at professional level detail. The Cafe is reasonably priced too! A must visit for any Warhammer fan.

A great stopping off point if you're near Grapevine. The staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I got to teach some friends Kill Team, and they had a smattering of Forge World stuff. Check out out!

Update: they recently revamped the game area in the back and it looks amazing! Definitely a great place to play and enjoy some coffee!

Place is awesome! I'm entirely new to Warhammer, and getting started with the game has been made much easier thanks to the amazing staff here. Can't wait to go again!

This is one of, if not the very best, Games Workshop stores. The store carries a large inventory of all GW products and is the only place in the USA that carries FORGEWORLD, right there on the shelves. The staff is awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable and great to talk to. The Cafe is great as well. They serve coffee, capachino, latte, hot and cold drinks, muffins, cookies and more. This is a must goto shop foranyobe in the USA.

Played 2x 1k games of 40k, met Morgan who helped with finding a number of models I needed and also really enjoyed the themed displays and fixtures. Will be back when I have a chance! :)
