Southside Market & BBQ - Austin at Arbor Walk

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Wasn’t too crowded and we were able to order quickly. We both ordered the large Southside Combo sandwich. We waited maybe 5 min to receive our sandwiches. The sandwich seemed larger than the bun they have wrapped up at the counter. It was large enough that we probably could have shared one sandwich - we both took a half home. Don’t even think about getting sides to go with it or you will for sure be taking leftovers home!
The brisket was moist and the sausage tasty. They even toast the inside of the bun which gives it a nice crunchiness when you bite into the sandwich.
The inside is pretty large and the guys behind the counter are very nice and patient.
This location is out of our way but whenever we are in the vicinity again, we will come back for more great tasting BBQ!!!

I had the plate with brisket and the new jalapeño stuffed sausage. The brisket was like butter in my mouth. It melted as soon as I bit into it! The macaroni and cheese was nice and Cheesy and the potatoe salad was pretty good Also. The meat was 100/10 sides 10/10. The bread is my only negative. I was given 3 slices of white bread. It smelled very strong like dollar store bread I didn't even eat it. I would suggest a dinner roll or something. Other than the bread the food was just lovely!

Overall my selection was excellent. The baby back ribs had just enough tug and the flavor was dead on the mac and cheese was really nice with the crust. The potato salad was a little bit too busy for me. I'm just an old southern boy, I like the basic potato salad and of course the iced tea was very good. My colleagues from Korea will be visiting me soon and this will be the first place I will take them to. I always talk about how good Texas BBQ, South Side Market always represents Texas proud with their barbecue.

I just had the best Brisket Sandwich! I was a little taken back by the $9 price for their "small" size. However, it was loaded with moist, delicious brisket, and I am stuffed! The smoke flavor was perfectly balanced. I did not use the BBQ sauce I requested on the side, it didn't need it!

Beef ribs (on weekends) and blackberries cobbler are out of control! Ribs are so tender and juicy. The warm cobbler is topped with vanilla ice cream and the huge portion is only $4.50. Fast & friendly service. Really cute nice place. Perfect for date nights

The multiple meats we tried were over the top good! Enjoyed something I can’t remember the name of which was sausage stuffed with Jalepenos and cheddar cheese. Excellent. As well, the baby back ribs and brisket was phenomenal! Overall good atmosphere and customer service!

Decent BBQ place. I ordered the brisket, sausage, and pork loin. The brisket was the best of the three. I recommend getting the bold BBQ sauce as there's not enough flavour in the original BBQ sauce.

Went there this past Sunday and order the three meat plates with my wife. One of the meats I chose was Pork ribs. When I sat down at the table we started eating and noticed the ribs were the wrong type. We decided not to eat them as we weren’t given the recite of the meal.
Well it must have been the owner who was walking around talking to people when he offered to get me a wrap for the ribs. Explained to him that we got the wrong type and he made it a priority to go back and get us what was correctly ordered. He indicated, “it was his pleasure.” Will definitely be going back.

Friendly staff. Nice meat deli options. BBQ brisket extra smokey and yummy. They have a unique meat wrapped jalapeno and cheese dish that was great. Good Covid-19 precautions. Clean bathroom. Only wish they had more diet soda options and fried okra. But we will be back!

I love this place, the best around by far....The sausage slammer is top notch, the dino ribs on the weekend are perfect. The lamb ribs are beyond this world, and you can't go wrong with there brisket so juicy and tender.

Just an all around great place. Kids, adults, Grandmas, and Grandpa's everyone will enjoy.

Beef steak plate is amazing flavor and value will be back on Thursdays. The sides were great too especially the corn on the cob.

One of my favorite BBQ places in Austin. All their meats are consistently moist, tender, delicious and portions are generally larger than expected. The Southside Combo sandwich (brisket & sausage) is one of my go to meals. If you go near closing time you might get lucky and get even bigger portions so they don't have to discard it, or on the down side, it might be sold out. Try any of their oak smoked seasonings on your home cooked meats for a real nice flavor enhancement that will remind you of their pit smokers.

The diet will wait until tomorrow. Shamelessly plowed through a 3-meat plate of brisket, pork ribs and sausage. Leftovers for lunch was a good idea that died quickly after the first few bites.

Not many BBQ places make everything well. South side has outstanding brisket(ask for moist), pork ribs and sausage. Consistently delicious and my go to place when I am not making it myself. Highly recommended unless you are a vegetarian.

Was visiting Austin on vacation from Miami and had the best bbq ever. The food made me make faces of joy. I almost cried. Talked with Stephanie at the gift shop where she told me about the history south side and how long they smoke their meats. All in all great proud staff and even better food

Justin and Chris manage this place well. I was able to get Skins / Keto friendly meal, the quarter pound chopped brisket for about $9.. They also have blackberry cobbler with ice cream that sounds divine, if you're not dieting.

Southside Market is our go to for bbq! It’s consistently good and the staff is friendly. The baked potato is a must! Look at this thing!

Nice smoke house ambiance. Very friendly staff. I had the two meat plate combo. Sides are tasty, not over powered with any spice. Brisket was really good, tender, great smoke. Sausage was very tasty, with right amount of spice and fat.
I will be back to try their ribs.
