First United Methodist Church

Today I attended a celebration of life service for James Staff. It was well attended and very encouraging. Pastor Tom Goodell spoke thoughtfully with timely and comforting words. The music was beautiful, and overall, the congregation was very hospitable.

A Church is first and foremost made up of people, but it doesn't hurt to worship in a beautiful building. The facility is quite impressive, with many large stained glass windows and sturdy woodwork throughout the Church.

I'm very grateful for this family of faith, and I wish them well in the future. Worth checking out if you're in Vandalia looking for a Church to visit!

Nice people

The pastor and principal do not support fathers who want or a part of their child’s life. They are assisting in a parent alienation case and will be held accountable for their horrible “Christian” actions. The pastor manipulated a 30 minute conversation that ended in no resolution. Speaking to him reminded me as if I were to speak to Joe Biden. He made no sense and talked in circles. Super sad to see churches falling to the devils hands.

Pastor Curtis is kore worried about saving face on bad reviews than he does about parents being withheld from their fathers. I don't believe God would approve of alienating a parent who's good for their children.

Poor attitudes by staff, unfair treatment of parents and cruelty to children’s education. No respect for single or divorced parents. Ones sided Christians. Only thinks about their image not what’s best for the children
