Quality Inn & Suites Vandalia near I-70 and Hwy 51

Stayed here overnight while picking up our grandson for spring break. It is remodeled and very nice. Everything is very modern and comfy! It was a nice surprise because we stayed here 20 years ago and it was not quite as nice back then. Great job cleaning this place up! We'll be back!

Very clean, fast check-in. I just wish that the walls were a bit thicker as there was a room not far from ours that you could hear their dogs barking all morning. I'm not saying that the hotel can control pets barking by any means but I just wish that the walls were a little bit thicker so that you didn't hear it like it was sitting in the room with you. Other than that it was perfect.

Rooms are very clean, and the atmosphere is nice! As a mom that's something I appreciate!
The breakfast consisted of Yogurt, apples, oranges, cereal, instant oatmeal, prepackaged muffins, coffee.
No handicap button to open lobby doors for those who are in wheelchairs, have time walking etc. Staff is kind so I suppose if they saw you trying to get into the lobby the would open the door for you.
Overall I would stay here again!

This Quality Inn is our go-to when driving across country. Price is right, the rooms are clean. The beds are a little too firm for our liking though. It’s pet friendly but we no longer have our little travel buddy. It’s got a nice courtyard if you want to sit outdoors. The staff is always very friendly. There is truck parking available for when we are pulling our 5th wheel and don’t want to camp for the night, however the last time we were there a ladder was stolen from the back of our pickup, and someone had fiddled with the door of the 5th wheel, obviously trying to get in. That was our first negative experience of the dozens of times we’ve parked there though. Hopefully a fluke.
One major complaint is that they charge a “safe fee” because there is a safe available in the room. That irks me to no end, but they are good about removing it when I remember to bring it to their attention. It is a hassle though. It’s only a couple dollars but it’s the principal of the thing. Seriously, who actually uses those things?

Happened upon this gem on a trip from KC to Indianapolis. Just picked an inexpensive place to spend the night.
What a lovely surprise. Got a suite for $99+tax. It was two clean, spacious rooms. Easy access from parking to the rooms.
It would have been even better if we had been there in the summer when the pool was open in the central courtyard the rooms surrounded.
I’d stay here on a summer vacation, if anyone vacationed in Vandalia.

The only downside was the walls are thin and the AC units are kinda noisy. If you wear earplugs sometimes, bring them.

Very clean place, no weird smells at all. Rooms feel new and Laminate floor definitely adds class. Pillows and bed were comfortable. A pleasant stay.

We were a bit worried going away from 70 a little, but extremely happy with room. It's very clean. Smells good. Lobby was clean. Front desk were friendly. Well worth the money, which was very reasonable priced.

We called to make reservations and it ended up being 20 dollars cheaper than what the third party discount companies were quoting. When we got there the night auditor gave us an even bigger discount than what she said on the phone! She didn't have to do that we were impressed with the first price! For the price (60 for 2 double beds) I was impressed with facility. They had a pool which we couldn't use because we got there late. They also had a gym, and a guest laundry facility. Room was small but clean. The next day we stayed somewhere that cost 40 bucks more and not nearly as nice as what we got here for 40 bucks cheaper! It even had a much smaller breakfast than Quality Inn had. We'd definitely stay here again. The front desk lady even let us use the outside plug to charge our car!

We travel through this area a lot and therefore need a motel stay. We always try to schedule so that we can stay here. It’s a very nice, clean, older property and is very comfortable. The price is great. Nice continental breakfast with a couple of hot choices. We always know we can depend on a good nights rest.

For this price we were VERY pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfort and overall quality of our stay here. Breakfast has a wide variety of options - waffle maker, cereals, oatmeal, fruits, juices and yogurt and even Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. The courtyard and pool area were pretty and well maintained. The staff was very friendly.

No complaints - was the perfect place to stop on our cross-country road trip.

Clean rooms, nice place, and great price. Don't let the exterior fool you. We will be visiting this area on a regular basis for the next few years so I am very happy to have found this hotel.

We enjoyed a quiet, very clean room with a lot of space for the kiddo to play. We had a very roomy suite for a great price. We love staying at Quality Inn in Vandalia!

Well run hotel just off the interstate. Recently remodeled rooms were clean and comfortable. Service from the staff was fantastic and the free breakfast even had a waffle maker!

We had to stop here last minute due to weather while traveling. This place was great! Staff was kind and friendly. Room was very clean, clearly newly remodeled and very nice. The beds were nice and comfortable. Breakfast was mostly sandwiches, muffins, and waffles but it was good, especially for the price.

Very clean room, sheets, parking area and lobby. Was highly impressed with the large quantity of different breakfast items. Loved our little garden area, just outside of our room. Check in was fast & easy. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I attended a motorcycle gathering in Vandalia. Because of extreme heat we stayed @ the motel most of the time. They had a large meeting room available to us & were very accommodating. The rooms were clean as were the entire facility. Breakfast was good but simple.

Finally an inexpensive hotel with clean rooms. Nicely furnished, nice staff, laundry, and a pool. Fluffy blanket, good pillows. Everything was perfect. As a traveling healthcare worker I can say that I'll be back for sure.

Everything was good, front desk friendly, room clean, no bugs, bed okay, TV worked, wifi worked, decent breakfast.
