Very well put together small local bookstore. It had most of the popular books out today as well as a large classics section as well as a great children's books section. Lots of little extras like bookmarks and other merchandise to shop while you are there. My GF was able to place an order with the store to order a speciality book she was looking for with no problems and the staff are very nice.

A beautiful, quaint little bookstore in the heart of the town. A great place to get gifts for that special reader in your life. Always a fun visit, highly recommend!

Very nice staff, good selection, and extremely reasonable prices. Cannot complain about anything here. They have cool blind book bundles that come with tea that are really cool. Lots of little trinkets and book accessories too.

This is one of my most favorite places. I love books and the smell of a bookstore is sooo comforting. They are so friendly here and family local owned and I love the selection they have as well as bags and the Colombian coffee candle that I bought several of because it smells so good. Best bookstore around

Quaint little neighborhood bookstore. Used and new to choose from. Price points to match all budgets. The staff was friendly and gave me a rundown of how they price books as it was my first time shopping there. I picked up some puzzles and a small stack of books. I will definitely be keeping my eye on this store.

Great local bookstore, go support them! Found some great children's book and they were able to order a book for me that I was interested in. Really cute other book related items too. Definitely will be a regular.

We love our little hometown bookstore. Always great deals on both new and used books. The kids and I love going to the sidewalk sales and finding new books to tryout and expire without breaking the bank. And the online book bundles a great when I don't have time to go in and shop around. Definitely a place for all book lovers.

Love a local bookshop! The inside is a bit snug, but the shop keeper was super friendly and I quickly found a great book. I also found 2 one dollar books outside that came home with me as well!

This wonderful local bookstore is such a blessing in our community. They have a great selection of used and new books at great prices, and sometimes they even have sales to further slash prices. Add in story times for kids, hot chocolate during the holiday season, and super helpful staff... you've got a fantastic place to shop for Christmas, birthdays, or any occasion at all!

A humble community oriented house-turned-bookstore with a very friendly shop keeper, accepts trade-ins for in-store credit, and has brand new book copies as well as a room with $1 paperbacks and $2 hardbacks. Also two rooms with more books and where kids can play. Have been twice and will definitely come back!

This bookstore is quite amazing. The way they have it set up makes you feel at home. The place is clean, quiet and has places to read. There's also a small selection of merch from local artisans. A small piece of heaven tucked safely away from corporate America.

Afterwords Books is a gem! The store itself is so cozy and always beautifully decorated according to the seasons/holidays! I could spend hours looking at all of the books and specialized gifts. LuAnn is always so friendly and helpful. Running a small business is no easy task but she’s also very active in the community and supporting local non profits. If you haven’t been, go! You’ll feel like you walked into a store from a Hallmark movie!

A gem of a bookstore tucked slightly away from the busyness of downtown Edwardsville, on the slightly quieter side of Vandalia. Were it for the beautifully done interior and the tasteful music selection alone, it would still be worth a visit; but the selection of books, particularly among the classics and YA fiction, is fantastic and very intelligently chosen and laid out, with many a pleasant surprise lurking among each bookshelf. Much more satisfying (not to mention lighter on the pocket) than going to Books-A-Million any day of the year. Go local!

Great selection of children's books. Seems to host plenty of kids story time events and book clubs. My daughter went to one of their pajama story time events and had a great time. Knowledgeable helpful staff.

Great bookstore! Used and new books, great clearance section, they buy books for credit, and you can order new books through them too. They also have story times my daughter loves.

This is a very nice indie bookstore. I love shopping local and supporting the community. The books are reasonably priced new and used, and the upstairs floor is $1 for hardbacks and $0.50 for paperbacks.

Perfect place to go shopping or sell some old books. The staff is always friendly and helpful and there's a good variety of books even though the store isn't that big. I make sure to go every couple months to stock up!
