Doozies

Took a weekend get away to go have a trip down memory lane, although this isn’t the same ice cream shop. When I was a kid, my grandmother used to stop at a nice cream shop in the same location as this one leaving the lake. Service was good for the most part. However, we reversed and went inside because the person ahead of us couldn’t get anybody to answer at the drive thru. Once inside the service was great! The only complaint I have is there was way too much chocolate in the malt I got.

One of the best burgers I have had in quite sometime! Full of flavor, nice crisp pickles, the lettuce was so fresh it had a crunch! Fries were perfectly crisp and steaming hot! The strawberry ice cream is chocked full of strawberry chunks and one scoop is HUGE Pretty fast for made to order drive thru!

Love this new location. Really beautiful spot with a old fashioned meets modern aesthetic. My crispy chicken sandwich was delicious. My wife and toddler loved their chicken tenders. Fries are on point and their ice cream is worth traveling for. Blows DQ out of the water. Reasonably priced and good portions. Will definitely be stopping in again!

I have been driving by here for a few years, and today I am sooooo very pleased that I did finally stop. W😲W! The food is actually fresh, (not) processed, it is delicious with top-notch customer service, very clean, and atmosphere is playfully cool.

To give a shout out to Ashlyne, yes the whole crew worked together quite well during supper/dinner for the evening meal. She definitely was a team player working hard, as the meal taker, getting the details that we customers might have missed, keeping the place, just to name a few, all with a pleasant smile and great connecting with the customers. Thank you Doozies for being an Amazing restaurant in the Council Bluffs, Iowa area for the many years you have been here!

Yes, definitely well worth your time and money coming to this treasured gem, located near lake Manawa.

This was the first time we've visited this restaurant. It has a clean inviting atmosphere. You order at the counter, but they deliver your order to the table. I. Had a grilled chicken sandwich and my son had a hamburger with onion rings. Both were very good. They also have ice cream, so we each had a cup of ice cream. It appears to be a popular location and we will definitely go back again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and atmosphere. Great burgers and house made ice cream, this place will be a regular. UPDATE: their new location is amazing! Loved my French dip and onion rings.

Excellent food. Very nice employees and a very friendly atmosphere. All around Excellent experience. I've been here three times and have always had an excellent experience. Their hamburgers are so good! However, my favorite is their grilled chicken sandwich! OMG!! Delicious!

Before trying this place I read how the burgers are a must try and the onion rings, obviously I had to try out these burgers and I’m glad I did. I see why there was so hype about it. Delicious! Same with the onion rings! Glad we tried it and the atmosphere was beautiful! Love the diner look!

They have the best homemade ice cream in Council Bluffs. Haven't really tried their food yet. But it always smells good when I go by there or even in Doozies.

First trip here for our family. We had burgers and chicken strips. Food came out quick and was surprisingly good. Burgers were juicy, chicken was well seasoned. Fries were amazing. Not sure if they cut their own, but it seemed like they were fresh.

I saw this place driving through CB just passing through (I’m from Omaha) I wasn’t planning on stopping for food but the building was eye popping! The inside was just as cool, if not, cooler! Very colorful and attire displayed as well. We really liked the “sugar daddy” and “sugar mama” shirts. (Specializing in ice cream) lol. We ordered double cheeseburgers and cheese fries. Those burgers were insanely HUGE and so cheesy! This blew a lot of places out of the park and we will be returning.

The burgers and fries are delicious here! The kids love this place as well, tons of seating available, and always clean. Doozies has a great selection of ice cream flavors too! Highly Recommend!

Never heard of this place until visiting Lake Manawa, so decided to try. Ordered a large twist soft serve cone thru the drive thru. It was great quality and a good sized cone for under $5. Next time I want to try food as well.

Great portion sizes, great prices, and super friendly staff. The fries were fried to perfection and they were made with real potatoes - I don't normally even like fries, but these were amazing. The burgers were substantial and the bacon was thick. The onion rings were so good that I didn't even need ranch like I normally do because the taste was so good on their own. The homemade ice cream was delicious too. Their menu looked like it had a ton of great options, so we're definitely excited to go back again. Highly recommend this place!

Our first time at Doozies. We loved the previous diner at this location and were sad to see it go. However, Doozies surpasses them by a landslide in every category! The burgers were phenomenal, and their homemade ice cream is something to write home about. Very excited to visit again. Please excuse me while I slip into a food coma. ;-)

This place is FABULOUS!!! Homemade Ice Cream is to Die for!!!!!Real food, hamb, chicken, and gigantic bag of fries w/ the meal!!! Large selection of delicious salads!!! Recommend 💯 percent! Great prices!!

Great food and delicious ice cream. Can't go home hungry from there. French fries are like homemade fries.

Drove through for a yummy vanilla two scoops in a wafflecones. Very good vanilla. Tasted like homemade ice cream.

Haven't been there very many times, but we enjoy it every time. Good ice cream and good food at reasonable prices
