Brought both of my cars here on two different days. It was easy to make an appointment over the phone (though they were booked up for ~2 weeks); The staff was pleasant, and most importantly, they did a GREAT job with both cars. My wife got misty-eyed because her car looked new. We'll be back again.

I´m from Germany and was on the hunt for a Dodge RAM for around 6 months. Trying to find a car from outside the country pretty much gave me all the options, as i had to fly over anyway to inspect the car.

During my research i found Ardmore and Tony.
First contact was super nice and Tony even offered straight to come with the car to the Airport so i was able to test-drive and inspect it on a layover going to L.A.
In the last 15 years i have bought various cars and have seen more then a few dealerships. Being German i do not have to point out that I´m very special in my expectations and we are almost never happy.

Tony convinced me that going to a car dealer can be a super cool expierence.
His attitude and customer service was great. The test-drive included all: City, country-road and Highway.

I decided to buy the car and export it to Germany. Tony knew it all to get the right papers to safe me even the Sales Tax and all was done in a very professional matter.
Even some extras to the car his garage installed in no time and i could use his address to ship some other items to be stored in the truck-bed before pick up for export.

Even when something with my transportation company did not work to well, he stepped in to protect my intrest. The car already being payed, he usually did not have to do that, but he did it anyway.

Most of the job was done by mail and i felt more then comfy to spent my money at this shop.

The car is Germany now. Has all the papers. For that it had to undergo a 1.5h test, where a goverment institution checked everything to be able to be legally on the road. I do not have to point out that a tech. check in Germany for car to get a license plate is one of the hardest on the planet, as the Autobahn has no speed limit.

No problem at all and the so called TÜV agent, who is specialized on American Cars told me that the car was sold in a perfect shape.

Trust Tony and your next car purchase will be as good as mine. If i buy another American car or my friends will, this is the address i will go to for sure.

I was in the market for an Escalade or Tahoe. I searched many surrounding dealers, but they all had less than quality vehicles and or were over priced. I made contact with Tony at Ardmore Sales and from the beginning he was great. I could tell he takes pride in his inventory. All his vehicles were clean and priced well. I purchased a vehicle from him and could not be happier.

THE BEST DEALERSHIP IN THE AREA! Tony's knowledge surpasses many and his kindness during our purchase surpassed all. I recommend them for anyone looking to buy a vehicle and if they don't have it; they'll find it for you!

I have been purchasing cars for years, reliable to luxury cars. This is the place to find what you are looking for and if they don’t have it, they will find it.

I can't give a good or bad rating for this place. I can only share with you my short experience.

After taking a day off from work, finding someone to drive me over one hour away to look at a car, I made arrangements to meet what I was assuming an employee at a specific time. After waiting over twenty minutes in the cold. I called the number to find out what was going on. The woman (who seemed very nice) said that "someone is there and that she would call them to meet me up front." After waiting another 10/15 more minutes later i decided to start walking back to my car to leave. It was only then someone walked out from a side door and asked me what do I need. I had made it known that I was here to look at a car and that I was NOT happy about waiting for so long... After a few choice words I followed him into the building only to still get an attitude. My first instinct told me that something about this place was not right so i walked out...

I completed a bid on eBay for a 2012 Mustang GT last night 1/11/2019. The reserve was not met, so I decided to let them know I would still take it for my highest bid in case they wanted to sell. They responded with, "Sure when can you pick it up?" After the conversation I called, and was told that "whoever was answering my messages had no idea what they were talking about" I live 3 hours away and was completely prepared to make the drive to look at the car. Tony suggested they might have been being "sarcastic" because the highest bid was still below the reserve. I don't believe that this is any way for a business to interact with customers. Now, since then, Dan has given me a call and told me that he would do whatever he could to make things right. I will update this as things progress to see if it's followed through with.

I called to schedule a visit for an interior and exterior. From the get-go the conversation went horribly. I asked him I asked him when there is availability as supposedly it is very "busy" and he said "I don't know". I had to ask him to look. He told me it wouldnt be for a couple weeks. Once again, he didn't give me a specific date. I said something, and he mocked me and repeated what I said. I then asked him if they are open on Sundays, and said "Well we like a day off too."...as if I was supposed to know if they were open or not-HENCE THE REASON I ASKED. I hung up on the guy because I was extremely frustrated. All I wanted to do was schedule my car for a cleaning and make them some money. I will now be cashing in my Groupon and going elsewhere. How incredibly frustrating. All I wanted was a clean car!

~~~~BUYER BEWARE~~~
Worst car buying experience I've ever had. I found the car online and spoke to Tony (Anthony - the owner) on the phone. He assured me the car was 100% like new, with no accidents, rust, etc. The pictures seemed to agree to what he said, but then again, all you have to do is photograph the car at the right angle and any issues are unnoticeable. We agreed to terms, including a 3 day return period if I was not satisfied (since I'm buying the car unseen) and arranged for shipment, which costed me an extra $650.
The car arrived and it was definitely not as described. It has salt/rust underneath, 2 cracked headlights, warped rotors (car shakes vigorously when applying the brakes), chips all over the front bumper/hood that were quickly touched up, and worst of all the car was obviously wrecked and cheaply repaired. The front bumper and right fender are visibly different colors and the plastic underneath/in the wheel well is broken. One of the plastics in the front bumper is cracked, and pins/clips for the fender are missing/broken so the two don't join together properly. That's in addition to several minor issues I've since discovered. The car obviously is not 100% like new as it was described.
I contacted Tony daily for 2 weeks in attempts to return the car or to be compensated for the undisclosed damage. He COMPLETELY IGNORED me. He won't answer/return calls, voicemails, or emails. I spoke to 3 other people at Ardmore, trying to reach him (Dan, someone claiming to be his father, and some associate that claimed he didn't even work at this location and was only filling in). All of them gave me different stories ranging from "He's at the sale", to "he's taking a training course to learn how to repair wrecked cars", to "he's traveling", to "I have no idea where he is or when he'll be back".
Finally I was able to get in contact with Dan who agreed to send me $600 (which will only fix about 25% of the issues) and mail me the title. A week later I received the check but no title. I was told I needed to sign some documents, which I did and expedited back to Ardmore. I still have not received the title and the car has been in my possession for nearly a month. The 30 day temp tag is expiring today and I can't register the car without the title to get a real tag. After today I cannot legally drive the car that I bought a month ago.
If you're considering buying a car from this company, you need to be prepared to view it in person, have a mechanic look over it, and be lied to the entire time. Make sure that anything they tell you, they put in writing. And then be prepared for them to squirrel their way out of that as well. The tone of the entire staff changes 100% once they have your money.
~~~~ 11/16/2018 UPDATE ~~~~

On 9/26 Tony had requested my wiring details so he could refund me for the car and have it picked up. I promptly sent the needed information but Tony never wired a refund or scheduled the pick up. This was around the time that he completely ignored all of my calls and emails for ~2 weeks, which prompted me to file a claim with the IL Attorney General.

On 10/20 my first 30 day temp tag expired and Tony sent me another one.

On 10/24 Tony responded to the Attorney General complaint stating that there was no issues with the car and that we simply had a difference of opinion. He ended his response with:

"This matter has been concluded by refunding the customer $600. Simply stated, money solves all problems.

Please mark this case closed and thank you for your help."

I was in contact with Tony frequently via e-mail for 3.5 weeks in which he asked me three times to (or rather implied I must) remove my online review.

On 11/14, I finally received the title to the car that I wired payment for on 9/17.

Today Tony e-mailed that he's referred to his attorney to "take further action" because I refused to remove my review.

I wish I could say I had the same experience as everyone else. This dealership seemed promising. The sales person sent an initial email asking "Ok when would you like to pick up?" When I requested them to contact me through their website.

You want me to give you my word over email I'm going to pick up something that costs thousands of dollars that I've only seen pictures of online?

Edit:

I didn't receive any calls, hence why I made the post. It could have been a number of things that caused miscommunication however your reponse was that I chose to "hide behind the computer and then make false statements". If you decided to mention the outreach attempts in a professional manner I would have gladly changed the review.

Living out of state is not a very strong argument. I frequently travel to Chicago several times a year from Michigan; there are also services to ship cars.

Further, the only two yelp reviews on your business detail unethical "BAIT and SWITCH" practices your dealership uses to squeeze money out of people under the guise that you're offering a "deal".

The owner needs to work on professionalism, communication, problem resolution skills, and openness to criticism. He seems to bash anyone who has a bad experience with his dealership instead of seeking a solution.
