La Fogata Mexican Cuisine

By far the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had. I had to come to the area for a business trip and asked a local what to get and I visited this restaurant 6 times over the three weeks I was here. Food is great, staff is great, and service is great.

This is one of the best restaurants in Kenosha let alone great Mexican food. I have been frequenting La Fogata for several years and have never been disappointed. The staff is well trained as they take care of each table. It is a place to see and be seen. There is a screened in outdoor area, so you can be outside without the bugs 🐜. No reservations though unless you have a large party, it is a Stand and wait situation.

The food is delicious all the time.
I order mushrooms quesadillas with epazote it was amazing the flavor.
You can not get wrong with any plate that you ordered every time is so good 👌.

If you ever been to amigo chino in Chicago and love it there, you'll love this place too.

5 years later and this place is still amazing!!! Its small but nice. Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible. Separate fe/male washrooms. They have a cute pond/fountain outside with koi fishes and turtles. Food and drinks....plenty of options. I highly recommend this place and to go on an empty, hungry stomach.

Not sure why but the salsas were way to spicy for my wife to eat.

Awesome burritos, my favorite is steak and chorizo mixed👌🏻, so good!! The red salsa is friggin hot, I love it, mouth is still tingling 20 minutes later. I’ll be back, highly recommended

The steak quesadilla is AWESOME!!!
well to be honest all was awesome. The flavors of the food very authentic mexican food.
The quesadilla is big and hand made tortilla and so is the gordita. I enjoyed the pork in red sauce but a bit too much onions for me.
We drank horchata and it was ok. Basic.

I got the carne en su jugo and loved it. Guacamole could have used a little more flavor. The horchata was good. And also got a steak taco which was good as well. I will definitely be back!

I am lucky I live so close to this spot! I love the Carne asada torta so much! I will say they do use a lot of onions. The sauces are great. The decor is great, I love the plants. And they are nice when ordering and patient with me (I am white).

Had the Machaca with Eggs with hand made tortillas. Damn that hit the spot. Coffee was great and our host was always checking ok us. Yum 👍🏽

I've been on a burrito kick lately and happened by this lovely place. It's nicely decorated with a lot of tasteful things on the walls (I wish I took pictures to show now), the staff was very nice and I got my burrito quickly. The burrito itself wasn't just filled with rice, it had a very good amount of meat, veggies, and beans, so far my favorite burrito out of maybe 5 other places I've tried nearby. I'm glad I stopped in 😊

Went here for the first time with my family and friends my son took us had a good time the food was delicious the way the waitress was very polite I recommend it for anybody who wants something to eat

This place has amazing food and atmosphere. If you’re lucky you can get a table next to the koi pond and enjoy the beautiful plants, fish, and turtles while you eat your wonderful food. They have a little different take on things and it just elevates the experience. The staff is amazing as well. If you’re looking for just a typical burrito with meat cheese and beans then this is not where you go. If you want a burrito with real flavor then this is where you go. The prices are very fair for what you get. If you’re looking for an elevated experience with Mexican food I highly recommend this place. Someone there must be a botanist because the plants are amazing!

Love this place. The food is amazing and well priced with quality ingredients. Also you can phone orders in ahead for take out which is convenient. And if you dont like hot sauces ask for the red mild enchilada sauce it is amazing

The food here is very good and the prices remain cheaper than anyone else in the Chicagoland area. When just about everyone else is charging $10 for a steak burrito La Fogata is still charging $5.99. Tacos are also inexpensive. So make sure you come give this place your business for keeping things delicious and affordable!

Chicken Enchiladas mole 😋 the BEST I'VE HAD

Carne asada at La Fogata is always a fave. The meat is tender,, well seasoned without being salty and served with refried beans, rice, thinly sliced potatoes and freshly made tortillas. So good!
