Veteran's Memorial Park

Beautiful park. Very well maintained. It's in the heart of McHenry. Small but has a lovely large gazebo, bathroom facilities, benches, picnic area, and children's play area. A tranquil place for a stroll or to enjoy an afternoon reading. The Thursday night McHenry Market is wonderful. It gets better every year!

I stop here during the week to walk around the sidewalk paths. It's always very clean and nicely landscaped. I just wish the bathrooms were open during my visits.

Thursday night Farmer's Market and Concert in the Park. Mchenry City Band plays a free concert. You can grab dinner, drinks and dessert from one of their food trucks, and pick up tomorrow nights dinner from the market vendors.

They have done a wonderful job with this park. It is so beautiful, every season. The new picnic area is great, the park is always packed with kids and it is very well taken care of. The Holiday lights are my favorite and love having the market and concerts in the park in the summer!

A beautiful park that is well maintained in the middle of McHenry, IL. We used the pavillion for a family event, and it was prefect!

They have it lit up purple right now, great spot for some spooky Halloween pics. Image of my family member hidden for safety. Bring your costume or maybe do wedding or engagement photos.

Small but awesome park. The city works to keep this place nice and clean all year round. The city had also been doing some amazing gardening work in the park and flowers are just amazing.

The park has improved in a new pavilion etc...very nice park.

This is a very nice park where the weekly Pearl Street Market and free concert are held. There is a huge shelter with many picnic tables so you don't have to sit in the sun to eat. There are actual bathrooms too! There is a bandstand and plenty of parking and paved walkways.

We attended a beautiful wedding in the gazebo. With all the Christmas lights it was very special.

Went for a couple live music shows here for the summer concert series. Such a great time. Well maintained all around.

Nice clean equipment, open areas to walk, a gazebo, nice public restrooms and seating by the gazebo. Also if you are an avid Pokemon go player this is the perfect small rectangular area with 2 guns and 3 stops!!

Nice shady city park with plenty of parking.. New a very clean restrooms, a large gazebo, kiddy swings and large modern playset.

It was beautiful. It was the tree lighting.

They have great music events here with a lot of unique food truck options. Family friendly and not too far from the water. A lot of room to spread out.

Park is beautiful and very well maintained. A wonderful foot bridge and beautiful dam on the Rock river make this a welcome urban oasis. Peaceful, but don't expect much solitude- it usually has quite a few visitors.
