What a great small town bar with a friendly bartender and excellent bar food.
My buddy had the black and blue Burger which I had a small taste of and it was excellent.
I have the barbecue chicken sandwich on a bond that was also cooked to perfection.
Just the right amount of fries and cold beer topped off our adventure.

Perfect atmosphere, music, and friendly staff. The food was great and my wife made the statement “greatest burger I’ve ever had!”

Central Lake Tavern is a gem with a perfect "up-North" feel. From the warm ambiance to the excellent food, service, and drink selection, every aspect is commendable. Chris, the owner, is a fantastic host, he and his entire staff ensure that every guest feels welcome. They have trivia Tuesday nights @ 6:30pm. If you're in the area and searching for great food at a great price, it's worth the drive from Bellaire, Torch Lake, Boyne City, Boyne Falls, East Jordan, and elsewhere. Don't miss out on this delightful experience. Its a must-visit for all.

Great little local bar with good food for hungry travelers or vacationers. We had the club and the chicken bacon cheddar and fries. Sandwiches were delicious and fries were hot and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Take time to read the signs...they are quite entertaining.

Stopped in for lunch on Labor day. The place was busy. Despite that, the bartender and the kitchen staff did an amazing job. The food was fantastic and the drinks were cold and hit the spot.

This was my second time visiting, and I won't hesitate to come back! Five stars because I can't give them more!

The cheese curds were delicious! I had their rodeo burger and it was so good. Price wasn't bad either.

Best jalapeño Tavern burger EVER (changed it up with American cheese) the chicken strips and deep fried green beans were awesome.

I think I had one of the very best burgers of my 65-year-old life tonight at the Central Lake Tavern! Not even exaggerating.

One of the best burgers I've ever had, but bring a big wallet cause it ain't cheap!

We wanted to try a local restaurant and decided upon the Central Lake Tavern. Service was quick and food was great. Seemed to be quite a few locals as many people greeted one another as they came in.

The bartender was amazing, the burgers were delicious. We would drive 100 miles to come back here just to have beer, burgers and visit with Dustin who is 100% awesome.

Great Burger! Option of fries or onion rings. Very tasty! If you like a quality burger don't pass up this Tavern! Menu is pretty much burgers. No coffee. Which for us was a bit disappointing the atmosphere inside was great. Music not too loud we could easily talk and heat each other. There were 6 of us. We will be back

Lived in area for 4 years and why haven't I been here? Freaking awesome burger, no frozen patty! Hand made, delicious and juicy. The bartender was right when she said best burger in Antrim County. Gave five stars but each are doubled... A perfect 10!
This is the place where you want to tell everyone about, but yet you want to keep it a secret.

Good prices and clean restrooms. So odd when we walked in there, there was an adorable doggie sitting at the bar. Owner seemed a bit grumpy, the mood changed when he walked in and poured himself a drink. Definitely a locals joint. You can get beers to go also
