A unique little Cafe with great food and a friendly staff. The hummus was so good I could have just eaten that with the veggies for lunch. I brought some scones home for later, heated them a little and they were just like right out of the oven.

It’s located in a garden center between Petoskey and Traverse City, which is convenient for anyone passing through. The menu was quite comprehensive, with many veggie and meat-eating options. I got the tomato basil soup and veggie wrap, both of which were unbelievable. The service was very friendly and chatty, with lots of knowledge of the area, plans, and the menu. Their wine selection was also quite comprehensive, and since it was a summer Sunday I opted for a glass of Pinot grigio. Mmm.

Our waitress mentioned that they have wood-fired pizzas and live music, which is definitely something I’m excited to check out in the near future.

There’s also an adorable little gift shop, with small knickknacks and furniture. Definitely worth poking around a bit!

Absolutely wonderful little outdoor cafe! The setting nestled inside the nursery is so charming, the food was DELICIOUS and our waitress was so sweet. Highly recommend.

There are few places in America that truly nail it like the Garden Cafe. The menu has something for everyone but in a healthy, simple, beautiful, delicious, and wholesome way. What a gem of an establishment where the service is warm and friendly and food recommendations by the kitchen staff say, “if it’s on the menu, we’re darn proud of it!” Enough said!

Fantastic outdoor eating space and staff were super nice. Lots of gardens to explore for our two younger kids. We'll definitely go back anytime we're in the area.

Great stop on a bike ride, wonderful coffee and scones. Delightful place to sit and chat in the shade. The menu looks interesting and I must return to explore that too.

What an amazing experience. From the food to the setting to the service, I cannot say enough good things. Everything we tried ranks among some of the best food we have ever had, and the service we received was phenomenal! Very kind people, and you can tell the chef puts much care and time into the food and chooses the best ingredients. The garden setting is also so peaceful and pretty. If you are in the area, this is a must! Also, check out the garden center while you are here, too. We can't wait to come back, and we are even looking at our schedule to see if we can fit it again before we leave town. Absolutely amazing!

Wow! What a cute, little, out of the way place to have a bite. Very quaint and quiet.

Charming outdoor cafe adjacent to a wonderful nursery. Great beer and wine selection and amazing food. A must stop when driving up 31.

Wow is all I can say-I never thought I was about to have the best meal, in the most tranquil and alluring space, in the back of what appeared to be a gardening store. The Italian on ciabatta was perfectly assembled-The bow tie pasta salad was the best I’ve ever had-If you’re going to get the Avocado toast, get the one that comes with the whitefish pate! Will be back again with family!

We got hungry after getting to Torch Lake and setting up camp so we Stopped here.
The look of the patio was excellent. plants and backyard landscaping giving the play a very welcoming vibe. The food was excellent and the presentation was beautiful. We got a spinach artichoke pizza and a beyond burger. the veggies seemed to be straight from the onsite garden. Food took a little time getting to us but was expected. Service was good. Limited menu but the well
Thought out dishes make it appealing for anyone. Smoothies, salads, wraps, stone fired pizza, grass fed burgers, beyond burgers. A small but excellent selection of MI craft beer and wines. This was all in all a 2 thumbs up experience.

Such a unique gem of a Cafe. The food is so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the Italian sandwich.

A very pleasant surprise lunch stop! Gluten free menu items for my wife and plenty of food for me, albeit a smaller menu selection. But the charm, staff and surroundings were the true 5-star experience here. A definite great lunch experience - and my wife agrees 100% with me.

Delicious and delightful! Stopped on our way to Petosky from Traverse City. Food was great as was the service. Lovely outdoor dining space. Would definitely recommend. You won’t be disappointed!

We ate here as we were headed home from a beautiful weekend around Torch Lake. What a lovely way to end an incredible weekend. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, we bought some unique items, and they did an excellent job of handling covid requirements.

Although I did take-out, (at 9pm on Saturday night) there were quite a few people still sitting there casually eating! And the restaurant closes at 9pm! I received my 🍕 pizza at 10 minutes after, and when I was eating it, I knew right away... That it was "Scratch-Made!" And that's what makes a pizza taste Oh-So-Much Better!!!

Absolutely the most peaceful and beautiful place with delicious and healthy food. Eatible flowers as garnish and delightful staff. A must doing you are anywhere close by!
