Porter Creek Hardwood Grill

This is my favorite restaurant in the Twin cities.!! I drive 2 hours to eat here. The food is excellent!! The service is top notch! The atmosphere is cool. Feels glitzy but for everyone! You can't go wrong here!!

Very nice place. Had the Walleye which was amazing. The spinach with it was eh. Side salad and potatoes were amazing. We had a group of 13 people and the waiter was amazing. He was able to split the tab and did a great job, without any issue. Great job.

Food was excellent and exceeded expectations. I got the rotisserie chicken sandwich, which was the most tender rotisserie I’ve had in quite a while! My girlfriend got the bone in pork chop and couldn’t stop talking about it. You can see the huge rotisserie oven and smokers in the back, it’s hard to miss the smell though! The mashed potatoes are good, a little salty for me, but my girlfriend likes salt and loved them. Overall, great service and a very welcoming staff.

The food was very good, especially the spinach artichoke fondue kettle appetizer. Our server Rebecca was top notch and made us feel very taken care of. We had not dined here before but chose this to celebrate our anniversary. The staff made it extra special by providing us with a dessert of our choice. We chose the banana ice cream cake. The prices are good for the high end feel of the restaurant and the quality of the food. We would definitely go back!

Girls' night out. 🌙 We had fabulous food, wine, and atmosphere. Great server. I had the smoked peach and bacon salad which was like your salad and entree in one. We split a decadent chocolate cake. when we left, we discovered a unique waterfall table. Fabulous ambiance.

The food was good and quick take out on time, the staff is very good and knowledgeable, give you options, enough parking space, loved the ambient and food, kids friendly, keep in mind this place is costly a bit !!!

Grabbed lunch the other day. I've never been there before. Loved it!! Everyone was nice and gracious. Food was good, and they had a deal on cocktails 🍸 which was pretty sweet as well!!! Atmosphere is awesome!!! Can't wait to go back!!

This place was extremely lovely. The food was amazing and the atmosphere and customer service was excellent.

We went tonight with a group of 10 - some of my siblings-in-law, their spouses and husband and I. Very cozy atmosphere, great service and food. Our server was Rebecca and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials and the service was perfect. I had the Herb Crusted Hanger Steak and it was tender and juicy and flavorful and the horseradish fingerling potatoes were as well. My husband had the rigatoni with sausage but felt there was too much pasta and not enough meat, even though he loves pasta. Others at the table had positive comments about the scallops and Cobb salad. I plan to have the Herb Crusted Hanger Steak every time I go there in the future, super impressed. Thanks Porter Creek!

I went here for my birthday with my family recently. I loved being in this place and the food was delicious. Rebecca was kind and attentive the whole evening and suggested some nice stuff. the atmosphere is so nice here, cozy, quiet, and warm.

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic and great atmosphere. Our server Josh was amazing and never saw a half empty glass. He was very professional but related to everyone around the table. The manager Christine checked in with us and that means so much to ensure quality control at any establishment. The drinks were out of this world and I highly advise trying the Blueberry Basil lemonade if you love tart. It’s definitely my favorite. I had a rare Herb Crusted Hanger Steak as you’ll see in the picture and it was top 10 steaks I ever had. Melt in your mouth and I can assure you won’t be disappointed. Prices were definitely more than fair with the quality of food. The place had a very warm and inviting atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back !

Great spot for happy hour! I highly recommend the sausage and apricot chutney flatbread, if you’re a sweet and salty lover like me! That was a big hit. The margherita flatbread was delicious as well! My husband tried the local cider and said it was great.

We tried the bruschetta, which was basically a deconstructed bruschetta. It was good, but overpriced in my opinion, even for happy hour ($9). It was basically 2 slices of bread cut in half + a giant pile of tomatoes. Tasty, but could do without it next time. Definitely not enough pesto.

My husband stuck to appetizers for his meal, but I ordered the chicken bacon wrap, which was delicious. It was quite dry though - next time, I would ask for extra chipotle ranch inside. The entire sandwich menu looks amazing - I will definitely be working my way through that section of the menu!

We decided to try the cheesecake for dessert, which was good-not-great. Tasty and will fulfill a craving, but I’d probably rather have another appetizer instead!

We will definitely be back to try more items!

We came here for my mom's birthday. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was friendly. The atmosphere was great. Every single food item was delicious, from the spinach dip and crostini appetizer, to the various entrees, and even our dessert. We will definitely return.

This place was absolutely worthwhile! The patio is magnificent and if it’s even reasonably nice weather, I highly recommend sitting outside. There’s a nice fountain -it’s not too loud - and you can’t hear much road noise because they have this beautiful landscaping. The ambience is incredible. I just had the best prime rib dip that I’ve ever had in my life! My wife had the asiago Walley and she agreed that this was an amazing restaurant. Our server Amy was unbeatable and I cannot imagine a more pleasant dining experience! Five stars!

What a great dinner! We had a group of 7 people and the waitstaff was amazing. I had the Chicken & Bacon Wrap (Rotisserie Chicken, Applewood Bacon, Roma tomato, romaine, chipotle ranch in a garlic herb tortilla). My wife had the Walleye with Smoked Pepper Tartar, and my son had the BLT with Bacon Jam. We all loved our meals. I really liked the French fries; they were hot and crisp with just enough salt. The server also brought bread & butter for the table. The ambient noise was a little high but tolerable.

Porter Creek is a mainstay of the south metro dining scene. Classy, fresh, and oh so delicious - it is exactly what it aims to be: a moderate to high end eating establishment that is both refined and comfortable.

From the wood accents, to the vaulted ceiling, and even the delicious aroma of a wood fire rotisserie roaring near the kitchen, your senses are warmed as you enter the comfortably lit seating area, and the good vibes continue on from there.

Whether opting for a healthy option like the wine country salad (complete with oven roasted grapes, and Gorgonzola cheese), the delectable Prime Rib Dip, or indulgent Asiago-Crusted Pork Tenderloin sandwich, the lunch options are excellent.

The wood burning rotisserie makes amazing chicken wings - only rivaled (dare I say bested?), by the incredible Doolittle’s Woodfire Grill in Eagan - *another treasure!* But be forewarned, after these babies you will never look at a chicken wing the same again!

The service is pleasant and attentive - if somewhat scripted. If we hadn’t brought a customer here two days in a row (at their request following the first visit!), I never would have known that the servers said nearly the exact same thing (at least in greeting/specials) though.

In the evenings, the portions are large and delicious. There is a lovely patio for the warmer months, and seating room big enough for large groups.

This place is a slam dunk. While not inexpensive - although half price bottles of wine on Tuesday don’t hurt! - I encourage you to give it a try. It might just be your new favorite! It certainly is one of mine.

We had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and the spinach tortellini with shrimps. Everything was absolutely delicious. We can definitely recommend this restaurant and will come again with friends and family.

Great food selection and quality. Comfortable atmosphere. Good service but a little slow as server subs as bartender. If you aren't in a hurry, great place to eat.
