Washington Park

Secret hidden pickleball courts right in the middle of the city! 8 courts that appear to be pretty new. Nets are up all year.

While the park looks great - the basketball courts are fresh and the baby swings have a spot for mom or dad to swing in front of the baby... I was specifically at Washington Park for the pickleball courts! They are great, by the way. Good lines, no cracks on the hardtop, convenient fences to divide the two halves (no division between courts on the same side), easy entry/exit on both sides. The parking lot could be bigger, but other than that it's a great park and great pickleball courts!

We played pickleball here on several occasions. Can usually find open courts. Other players are very friendly.

Decent courts. Typically recreational / lower level rated players are here each time I've visited.

There's no fencing between courts. So if there are others there (which seems to typically be the case these days with pickleball) expect a fair amount of "ball in!" Interruptions during your matches.

We went with friends to do some birdwatching on the islands in the river. Wow! *Lots* of great blue herons a couple species of ducks, and other water birds. Very nice!

New playground equipment is great and offers a wider range of developmental choices. A larger, taller equipage for older kids, a smaller set for younger kids, and 4 swings, two regular, 1 for baby with a grown-up seat/stand in front, and one chair, also with a seat/stand in front. Such an improvement from before.

Great park for the family! Lots to do and well taken care of.

Good pickleball courts, but usually a bit windy. Could use some wind screens on the courts

The pickleball courts here are great. They have 8 dedicated courts here. Great place to play, and most nights people are here and playing in a rotation. Very fun!

Love this little area. Very friendly and fun crowd that plays pickleball. Great area to relax !
