The Look Salon

I can't believe I've gone to Mikayla at The Look Salon for the last 9 years and I'm only just now thinking to review it!
I can't say enough wonderful things about Mikayla. The name of the salon and idea behind it is exactly what she does - she finds the exact "look" that will make you feel confident in all stages. She works with you and your timeline for how frequently you like to come in and the level of maintenance you desire for your hair. She's also fantastic with brows and upper lip wax and is so thoughtful and wonderful to chat with! If I was going to give some general feedback it would just be to update to a client management system that could store client phone numbers and scheduling preferences.

I love the look. I've had a few different people over the years but always had great results.
I love that they cut bangs in-between cuts for free. Although I haven't used this service I love the idea because who hasn't at one time or another cut there own bangs just to get by until they need a hair cut

I decided to try a haircut here and I'm very satisfied. Greg my hair stylist, did a great job. He is very professional and knows what to do with client hair type. I will definitely come again. 🙂

I am absolutely in love with my hair! Alaina did an amazing job on my color (blonde highlights and low lights). I am clueless when it comes to what color and she got it spot on. Price is similar to other salons in the area. It was $147 for full highlights/low lights and a cut and style. Very impressed!

I love my hair stylist Alaina she did exactly how I wanted to highlight add probably few things but it was great I can’t wait to go back again or refer to her

Amanda did the most amazing balayage on my daughter's hair. It is seamless and beautiful. My daughter rated her 23 stars out of 10!

Alaina is seriously the best! My hair looks amazing every time for my color and cut! She’s efficient, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with during the appointment. Very happy with my results, highly recommend her!

The team is wonderful.
They are reasonably priced & no more than other salons.
If you are looking for a different look, ask for Greg the owner, for a consultation. You will enjoy getting your hair cut from him.

I absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is so peaceful and rewarding. The staff, they are so professional. They make you feel like you are at a spa. I absolutely will recommend anybody to come in and get a service from either one of their beautiful hairdressers. And not to mention their
salon receptionists, Jamie! Is an absolute doll!

Alaina is my go-to here and she always does an amazing job! I have naturally curly hair and she knows exactly how to work with it and style it so I don't come out looking like a poodle. Her work with colors is also excellent and I consistently get compliments whenever she has done my hair. Plus she is always fun to talk to and relaxing to be around. I highly recommend the salon and her!

LOVE coming here. Greg is fabulous. Lots of experience, knows a lot about what style looks good on you based on your skin tones, face shape, personal preferences etc. He's very. Skilled at determining what looks good on you. And what is healthy for your hair. You can trust him completely. Easy to converse with, you'll have a great time while in his chair. I refer people to his place all the time.

I absolutely love this salon. The staff is always so kind and cheerful and my stylist, McKayla does such an incredible job on my hair and brows. I never leave with less-than-perfect hair.

I started here a couple of years ago with Mikayla! I love her! Since having her as my stylist (master stylist) I can manage my naturally long curly hair curly or straight! She is so knowledgeable about hair color and highlights that I won’t use anyone else. She is so kind and makes me feel relevant even though I am so much older than her.

Fantastic service and I always walk out with great looking hair. I've had my hair cut numerous times by Amanda, giving her full control of the style, and I've yet to be disappointed.

Like many other salons, The Look Salon offers a decent selection of hair care products. The difference, however, is that this salon doesn't push you towards buying a specific product. They welcome you to look and are more than willing to answer any questions you may have or provide recommendations if you aren't certain on what you need. The Look Salon also has a satisfaction guarantee on the products they sell, which is reassuring and shows they stand behind those products.

I've been to a variety of salons throughout the Twin Cities but none hold a candle to this one. Gregg is a phenomenal stylist and person. I've also had my hair cut and colored by others at the Look and recommend all of them.

I felt very pampered. I have natural curly hair which everyone says they can cut fine. The owner is the first one I have found in a few years now. He can cut it perfectly. It's great to get a haircut that I don't have to come home and fix. All of the staff is wonderful.

Amanda styled my hair for a wedding and I had no real opinions on what I wanted other than a half updo. She completely impressed me with the final look and it held beautifully throughout the ceremony and dancing all night! 10/10 WILL go again for the next time I need a wedding look!

I didn't know this place was here but I desperately needed a haircut. It had been way too long! I had an appointment with Amanda and will definitely be scheduling with her again. She was so sweet, and easy to talk to. The time flew by, and I was very happy with the results! Thank you, Amanda! (:

The Look Salon has a relaxed, friendly vibe yet very professional. Gregg use's his artistic vision to find the perfect style for you. His highlights are stunning and he has knowledge of the products. My hair falls into place with no effort. He is the king of layering! I get compliments all the time and can’t believe it took this long to get a cut I love. The camaraderie of the staff, Gregg’s positive energy and gift for making all feel seen makes for a fun experience.

I just wanted to say that Gregg is the best hair stylist I ever had. He is also one of the coolest and nicest person you will ever meet. Gregg is very professional and has tremendous skill and excellent technique. He constantly keeps up to date on the newest hair styles trends. I highly recommend Gregg and his staff.
