Lots of big shady trees, very clean and well kept park. Not too busy on a Saturday afternoon.

If you have little ones under the age of 8, and would like to take them swimming, this is definitely the place for you and your little ones to go and enjoy some fun in the sun. They are only open from 12:00 p. m, to 6:00 p. m. Weather permitting and they are open. The depth of the pool ( or wading pool) does not exceed over 2 to 3 feet. Any children under the age of 6, will be required to wear a wristband and so will the parent and can not be farther than arms length away from a parent at all times. It's great for a low cost entry fee of $2.00 for adults and children are $1.00 (please check ahead in case price has increased) they have a mandatory rest break every hour and offer a little sand area and showers to wash away the sand before reentering the pool. It's got a little water slide and only one child allowed on the steps at a time, and a small slide for littler ones. Be sure that you make your little ones wear shoes into the bathroom and everyone must take a shower before entering the pool. There's plenty of shade to allow for picnic blankets and they do offer some lounge chairs and umbrellas for extra shade. But, be aware that they can become extremely busy with day cares and large families and some kids that should not be in there because they are too rowdy and don't seem to listen. Lifeguards are very strict and don't allow anyone to run or climb on any of the water structures that have water or walking up a slide. It's good for short time in the sun or late afternoon play, just be advised that the parking lot is small and not easily to turn around in or enter or exit from. Call ahead and find out if they are open or allowing outside food and drinks inside the pool area.

Found this dog park for the first time today. My dog enjoyed it a lot! I watched all the dog owners pick up after their dogs. Right after coming in, the hill was slick for us owners to get down to the big Park area, so be careful upon entering after a snowfall. Because it was a warmer day, it started melting while I was there, I suggest having towels handy when you get back to your vehicle to wipe down your pup. Love that they have areas for both big and small dogs.

Was in the area from York with my dog and decided to stop by so Derby could get a chance to play and get out of the car. Seemed like a nice fairly clean park. We had no issues and met several other nice dogs/dog owners while we were there. Would recommend.

I'm new to the area and have only been to this dog park once but it was great. Large enough for the dogs to run but not too big. Lots of trees. Everyone was very friendly. I didn't notice any dog feces left on the grass. Love this park! Way better than Hefflinger...

There's plenty of area in this park for any lovely sunny day. There's a large dog park for both small and big dogs. A swing set park for kids. A basketball court for ballers and a lovely pond to sit, walk, jog, and even run around if you desire. It's a great place for a casual sunny afternoon visit.

I come here every day with my dog. In the morning there isn't usually people but after 5 a lot of people come here. There are three fenced in areas. Plenty of room to run around and there are picnic tables. Always very clean.

Great dog park area. Has 3 sections, 2 for all sizes of dogs and 1 for small dogs under 30 lbs. Plenty of shade trees and grass, some chairs and benches. Working dog water fountains, plenty of dog waste bags and waste bins. Parking lot has an okay porta potty. Rest of the park seems well maintained and full of flowers. Definitely recommend to visit.

The Hanscom Pool is an awesome place to take the kids for the summer. It has zero entry and a kid inspired water depth. It features two water slides and other fun fountains to play in. Also during the breaks there is a small playground and picnic tables to eat your snacks in the shade. The kids and I had a great time there today!

Three separate parks which is good for my dogs because my dogs do not do well when crowded at the gate. There’s also lots of shade, a hill for the dogs to run up and down, and a sufficient amount of places to sit.

Omaha's oldest and most beautiful park. Nice for walking, fishing, and good equipment for children to play on. Baseball diamonds too. Even a mini outside "amphitheatre" (very mini but very useable). Lots to do and see. The kids will love it and so will you.

One of the best parks in town, very large, has a spot to grill, has a lake, a playground area, has a soccer field and a baseball field, a dog park area, a basketball court it's right next to the Gerald r Ford birthsite which is always very colorful on the warmer season with tons of flowers

Great place to bring the puppies. Also good for getting lost in a book or looking at birds. I'm looking forward to watching the seasons change there.
