Block 16

Evidenced by the consistently long lines over lunchtime, this place has some really unique and tasty meals. Having recently been to Vancouver, I love their selection of fun fries, including their take on poutine. 🍟 I ordered the duck duck goose while my pal ordered the poutine burrito. Can't wait to try their fried chicken thighs and burgers next! 🦆

Great place for unique sandwiches, fries and incredible food. They have several burger, wraps, and sandwich combos with offer a variety of combinations that you won't find anywhere else. Several topped frie combos with things such as duck or pork. I enjoyed the 3 Happiness burger with the basic seasoned fries. For sure a place to come back too.

shaved steak, what else is there, well, a lot... and it all comes together perfectly. I was seriously surprised by the way all the ingredients came together and without overpowering one another...

I can almost always find something to complain about (as my followers know.lol) not this time...

Went for lunch on a Friday. The wait time to order was decent for how busy it was (about 10 minutes). Food took about 15 - 20 minutes after ordering, which was less than the 25 minutes quoted, so that was a plus! The block burger was good. It was juicy but could have had a bit more seasoning for my taste. Fries were good, the side of garlic aioli was very good! The 3 happiness burger was decent. The birria fries stole the show... lots of flavor, brisket was tender and juicy, and it had a nice kick with the spicy aioli!

The food here is always fabulous! Take out orders are always ready quickly and accurately as well. Lovely outdoor seating. My favorite is the Crab Rangoon fries. They always have a generous portion of goods so every fry gets covered.

What a cool restaurant. Farm fresh food delivered daily. My sockeye salmon salad was so tasty with a ton of fresh veggies. The fried chicken thighs were by far my favorite! I had 2 traditional and 2 Nashville hot. The Nashville flavors and fry were so good. I would fly back to Omaha just for the Nashville hot fried chicken!

Finally got a chance to revisit Block 16 after being away from the area for a few years. Glad to see that business is doing better than ever and they have expanded to shop next door. Definitely helps with having more seating available. Block 16 may seem like a typical burger and fries kind of place, but their burgers and fries are literally of the next level. Our favorite burger is the Croque Garcon; when an egg gets added on any burger, you know you’re going to have a good time. All the “fun fries” are really delicious. Duck Duck Goose and Poutine are Block 16’s classic. Had a chance to try their newest addition, the Funky Fungi Fries. Aside from the alliteration, the dish is amazing for those that love truffle fries.

Amazing. Heard it was top tier nationwide and decided to give it a try. Over half of the places I try don’t hold the standard but this was phenomenal. A must have in Omaha!!

Recently stopped by for the first time ever and this place did not disappoint! Although we visited when there was a long wait and it was less than an hour before close on a Friday night, the staff was all super friendly. They continued to update customers on expected wait times and took time with each customer at the counter, regardless of the long line. I asked about the non-alcoholic beverages and the person at the counter took her time to genuinely give me her honest recommendation and not once did she make me feel rushed! I had the Bacon and Brie sandwich and it was delicious, along with my Lagunitas Dry January friendly beer. Overall, it was a fantastic first visit and will absolutely be back!

Came during a busy lunch but the rush was handled well. Delicious sandwiches, great pickles and fries. Cost is fair for the quality of food. Lots of seating available inside, a few tables outside.

Great Place to grab lunch downtown, and a favorite for Omaha locals. Plenty of great sandwiches and amazing fries on the menu. But make sure that when you go, you have some time to burn because there is usually a pretty long line to order.

Amazing! The freshest ingredients wowed both the carnivores and vegetarians in my party. Fantastic staff provided recommendations (which did not disappoint! Get a side of sweet potato fries)! I will bring anyone visiting Omaha to Block 16 for amazing food.

This is my wife and my first time at Block 16 since we have moved to Omaha. We are definitely impressed with the menu and the flavor combinations this restaurant has created! I ordered the Brooke’s Chickwich, my wife ordered the Bacon and Brie, and we shared an order of Dirty Fries! Definitely not disappointed and neither will you!

Stop in for Lunch on Friday! It was awesome to see the restaurant busy! It was worth the wait 100%! The Renegade Chicken Sandwich had the right amount of kick without being overly spicy! The atmosphere is good, with even better service. Each time I come in the food is excellent and staff is friendly!

Great service, staff, atmosphere, and food - the whole 9 yards. Made the trek across Omaha on a snowy night and it was well worth it. We’re also on a quest to find the best poutine in Omaha - Block 16 is currently at the top of our list

My favorite sandwich shop on the planet. Everything is incredible and will be one of the best you’ve had in your life. Three happiness burger is my go to. But pulled pork is great. Duck duck goose fries. I go here every single time I’m in Omaha.

Loved it. We actually delayed our trip a bit to be able to eat here. The burger was fabulous and as good as Alton Brown said it would be. The poutine burrito was an awesome surprise. The idea was strange but are we glad we tried it. The fries with duck was perrrrrrrrrrfect. Other than not having seating at the moment, I just don’t know what they could do better. It was all worth the trip delay and all the extra calories. I’m in love.

Delicious food. I had the BIRRIA-ISH WICH. It was one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve had.

Such great food! We split the bacon & brielt and then each got an order of crab rangoon fries. Would highly recommend both of these options. It’s a smallish restaurant, we did have a little bit of a wait to order, but the food came out in a timely manner. They do have a couple outdoor tables available for nicer days. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Finally tried Block 16 for the first time. I got the Renegade Chickenwich and the crab rangoon fries. Both were wonderfulllll. The seasoning on the chicken was wonderful, and to me, it wasn’t overly spicy at all. The pickles and the slaw, SO GOOD. The crab rangoon filling on top of the fries was addicting!
