Lake Breeze Resort

Considering that this was my 4th time staying here I'm surprised I haven't left a review. There is a huge selection of rooms available here. Just a room with a bed and microwave, full cabins, 2 bedrooms a room with a kitchen a room with a Jacuzzi tub. The list goes on. Today we stayed in room 4. It was a 1 bedroom "apartment" with a queen size bed in the bedroom and 2 twins in the living room set up as a couch. The kitchen had everything you could need and a full size fridge and freezer. One cool thing about each room is they all have VHS and you can "rent" them from the office. So many to pick from. Each room has a deck with 2 chairs and a table. There is a fire pit you can use with free wood just be respectful. I love to sit in the gazebo by the water... lots of picnic tables if you want to hang out outside and a pool in the summer. This is the only place I'll ever stay when going out this way. The place is safe and the people that own it are always in such a good mood.

We stayed at Lake Breeze Resort for 2 nights in the apartment above the office. It was spacious, clean and well taken care of and had good wifi. There is a bedroom, living room, small kitchen with a table and chairs. It was great to be able to make our meals right there! It was also great to be so close to Duluth while still being close to the lake with nature all around. One thing we found was that the path to the water was too steep for us but we did see others managing to get down and back up it okay. There was still a nice spot to set up our camp chairs and watch the water. (Not sure if stairs could be built down to the beach but they'd be a great help!) We didn't have time to explore the resort grounds ourselves but you could see that there were many things to do there. Finally, the last thing to mention is how friendly Kimberly was! It was a pleasure dealing with her to set up our reservation and then during our stay. This place is a gem to check out!

Very nice place. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and well kept. I've stayed at many motels most of have had thin cheap towels. Here they had extremely nice thick plush towels. You have to watch close to find this place. It is set back quite a ways from the highway but that makes it so nice, quiet and peaceful. I would recommend The Breeze to anyone.

This was an excellent place to stay, especially with kids! Our suite was very clean and comfortable, with wonderful views of Lake Superior. It also has a great location—close to Duluth but out far enough that you feel like you’re right on the lake. Also, the owners were very friendly and kind.
The kids loved all the things to do here. We would spend most of the day out and about, but when we came back and ate dinner, we could keep the fun going. We swam in the pool, explored a trail, played on the playground, and played some mini golf (they are refurbishing the course). I think, however, that my kids’ favorite thing was to borrow free VHS tapes to watch before bed. They’ve got a great collection!

We had the suite above the office, and it was clean, spacious, attractive, and quiet. The woman at the desk was friendly and helpful. Across the street, we climbed our way down to the rocky shoreline. Beautiful.

Our family of 4 just stayed for 5 days and it was a fantastic stay. The owners are awesome , Kim couldn't be more kind. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view. All new beds and WiFi and plenty of hot water for showers. We will be back for sure. A hidden gem.

Nice location a short drive from Duluth. Prices are very reasonable. Loved waking up and enjoying my coffee on the patio with a view of the lake every morning. The yard was nice for the kids to play in. Beds were fairly comfortable and things were clean. Some things need updates but can’t complain much as they are still functional. We will definitely be staying there again!

We stayed here last year and will be staying here again later this month. Making reservations and checking in was easy, the owners are so nice. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. We had a private deck with a grill, clean bathroom, nice quilt on the bed, and a beautiful view. I was nervous being outside of Duluth, but I really enjoyed the scenic view back to the hotel after a long day of exploring. The pool is clean, mini golf was a bonus, and hiking trails were great! I would definitely recommend this place and will be staying here every year we visit Duluth. ♥

Another great stay at Lake Breeze this year! We walked across scenic hwy 61 and sat by lake superior. I added pics of our view. I'd give 10 stars if I could! ♥

Nicely tucked just off the shore. Loved the location as it is more secluded and private than staying in the midst of tourist chaos in Duluth. Front desk was extremely nice and a bit of a local guide if needed. They offered mini golf, a pool, balls of all sorts for throwing or kicking around, fire pit, grill with charcoal and fluid provided, throwback to VHS which you can rent for $1. The room was very clean and tidy. Perfect for our quick overnight stay. Will definitely be a guest here again.

This place is amazing. Fully stocked little cabins with 1 or more bedrooms and bath. Adorable. Man who owns it lives there and each cabin has a (GET THIS) A VCR! In the main office I was really impressed with the selection and truth be told it was super fun and happily nostalgic watching some of those old school like. Super clean and cozy, and WHAT A VIEW!!!
I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Great little get away spot. We stayed in one of the single motel rooms and it was perfect for our short stay. Super clean, and updated except the VHS player in the room which was fun (they have a wall of VHS movies available to rent). We played mini golf, took a walk down by the lake and took a dip in the pool. Already planning a trip back to enjoy more.

This place was not only affordable, but what this family of 6 was looking for. Just outside of Duluth, you are close enough to the city to not make it a trek but totally woodsy away from town feel. Activities for the kids, access to the big lake, and our kids loved that there were VCRs and a large library of VHS movies to pick from! The true gem though, is that the owners are fantastic, helpful, kind people. They went out of their way, above and beyond to help us when our truck broke down the day we meant to leave, and even mailed us back a multi tool we forgot in the parking area. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

The location is on the north shore scenic drive a few miles from Duluth. This is the 2nd time I am staying. The couple who owns this place are sweet and kind. They were patient to help us and very pleasant to talk with. We took a cabin and we were 7 people. The cabin was spacious with view of the lake which was about 200ft in view. It was a very good stay. Would prefer to come back again

5/5 no questions asked. This resort has been a mainstay of my family holidays, and they've never let us down. Cozy rooms, great hospitality, outstanding view. I will continue to book here for as long as I can. My recent four night stay was made clean and comfortable, not to mention aesthetically pleasing. Out of Duluth enough to get the late summer air... Crisp, clean, refreshing. Truly a place to recharge the soul's batteries. Thank you.

After dark, there's a distinct serial killer vibe to the place from the road, but don't let that fool you; it's clean, reasonably priced, and plenty of stuff to do if you want to.

Great cabin resort for our little getaway weekend to Duluth. We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom cabins for my husband and I plus our 4 and 2 year olds. Cute little playground, outdoor pool. Would recommend

We booked this last minute, and were pleasantly surprised. All the comforts of home were there for us, and we loved having a nice little deck to sit on. We didn't have time to explore the amenities, but it looked like there was plenty to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! We stayed in cabin #11 very relaxing and great view of lake Superior. The owner is great and friendly will definitely be back next year!

This is a very nice place to stay.. very clean.. for us who don't need or want a lot it was perfect.. I really only need morning coffee.. and a clean bed and bathroom.. this place has that and a pool.. its just a wonderfully quiet place

Excellent service, they fit us in same day. Super clean, we stayed in the jacuzzi suite and the tub is huge! Didn't disappoint! Lovely layout, beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend it!
