Max's Pizza & Bistro

I'm a fan of Brooklyn-style pizza, and I am glad that I was able to find that taste in Max's pizzas. The regular slice is thin and crispy and just amazing!! The Baked Ziti is also quite good, too!!

Such a great local pizza place. My kids love the mushroom and sausage pizza. I’m partial to linguine and clams in white sauce. Pasta primavera was tasty but the veggies were so-so. The chicken parm was very good. The best is the service and atmosphere. They’re always so welcoming and kind. Love their chess club on Mondays!

New to the area. Have only done takeout, but after numerous negative experiences with other establishments I was pleasantly surprised with Max's. People were nice, prices were reasonable, and most importantly the food was excellent. Will definitely be coming back!

Veal Sorrentino is outstanding. Veal is moist, tender, sliced thin and perfectly cooked. Pasta is spot on Al Dente. A good sized portion with plenty of sauce to go around. Italian Sub Sandwich 16"-$14 SPECTACULAR

The margarita pizza is delicious. The owners are always present. They take pride in what they do. Definitely recommend Max’s Pizza

Great authentic Neapolitan cuisine!! Pasta and broccoli were cooked perfectly, as was the salmon. A family-owned gem in Scotch Plains!

plain slice was saucy nice and crisp and was flavorful. There was a cashier who questioned a cook what he was doing with a sample tuna salad so it made me not want to try it but besides that 10/10

Best Pizza in Town. I feel out of love with Pizza because places just weren't doing it right. Pleasantly surprised and happy to find a place that makes it so good.

I was in town for my 60th SPFHS Reunion and Max's delivered Pizzas to our get together at the Italian American Club... All the pies were great and my wife said it was the best Pizza she ever had (she loved the Cheese, White & Margherita).

We had a small party at Max's last night and everyone had a great time. The staff was friendly, very helpful, and on top of everything. The food was delicious and served perfectly without ever rushing us. Thank you Max's and Staff for everything! We look forward to our next visit.

When I'm not cooking the kids always want to go to Max's, my favorite is chicken saltimbocca, but they're always trying something different and never disappointed. Max's is our go-to Pizzeria.

We travel from Maryland to visit family and always stop to grab a bite! The pizza is absolutely great!

There are 3 things that make a pizza great and this place nails it. Crispy crust, slightly sweet sauce in just the right amount and good (non-oily) cheese. Totally recommend

Without a doubt, the BEST sub in the area!!! We won't even begin to discuss how delicious the bread is!! Remarkable customer service, the sandwiches are jam packed with meat and $10 for a WHOLE sub that could realistically feed a family of 4! We are HOOKED!!

I did a takeout catering order for wings for my birthday party, and they may have been the best wings I’ve ever had! Numerous people at the party asked me where they came from because they were so good! I haven’t tried anything else there yet, but 100% I would recommend the wings

We always get takeout from Max's and the food is always fresh. The pizza is always hot. The sandwiches are amazing and I love how they put the oil & vinegar on the side so that my sandwich doesn't get soggy and I can use as much or as little as I want. I highly recommend Max's

Stopped by on a work break for a quick bite. Ordered a peppers and onions slice and was pleasantly surprised. Easily one of the best pizza’s I’ve had in Union County and definitely going to bring my family here when I can.
