This was date night and we had the only female chef. She showed off some skills we had never had before. Our first time having soft shell crab. It was ready good.

What an amazing experience we had today! Chef Eli was entertaining and the love he puts into his food made it that much better! We enjoyed and will be back very soon

My son absolutely enjoys coming here! Eli the chef is amazing! The manager Joe is such a pleasure and always seats us immediately. This is by far the best Benihana I have ever visited. My 6 year old son knows every single chef by name! Job well done Benihana for hiring such amazing management and staff!

Charlie was fantastic! Brian gave the extra touch! Fun, good food great atmosphere! Wonderful experience! I will absolutely come back for Charlie and Brian!

Adil was amazing! The food was great and his skills were top tier, I highly recommend him as the chef and the server was also amazing! Drinks are on point and our waitress Ishanel was so kind and attentive! I may have to become a lunch regular

THIS Benihana was my favorite restaurant long ago. When I moved to South Jersey I started going to the Cherry Hill location which has unfortunately turned into a disaster that I’ll never again patronize (see my CH) review.

Tonight I got together with a group of old friends and was SO pleased to have the original dining experience again in Short Hills. Everything was consistent with my fond memories. The food quality, quantity, service and dining experience was excellent.

Thank you for bringing my faith back to the brand. I’ll be driving 90 miles to Short Hills next time I want Benihana.

Our waiter was extremely helpful and so much fun. Definitely made my brothers birthday well worth it. Our cook was engaging making this experience fun. Food was really good and my steak was done perfectly. Definitely would come here again.

Everything was great, starting with the chef 👩‍🍳 and the food quality.

The only thing, I believe, needs some improvement is the waiting time. The host was stressed out due to angry customers having to wait longer than expected.

I understand food is pricey here, but you pay for a great service and awesome food.

This is my second experience here — both times I had chef Eli, I’d hope to keep having him as our chef. Food so delicious!

Senior Brian and chef Adil were really nice and friendly. My friends and I enjoyed our time. Differently recommend to family, kids, and friends to come.

vincent was VERY VERY VERY nice and he was the best chef i ever had. he really opened up my dining experience to laughter, and fun. 10/10 recommend. put table absolutely loved him. our server Brian was amazing as well. he also really made me laugh. he is a great server. our table loved him so much.

All in all, Vincent and Brian really made me open my eyes on how we should be served at every restaurant. absolutely loved them.

This was the best experience. My family and friends, 9 people in total, came here from my daughter’s birthday. This was an incredible experience. Our hibachi chef was named Vincent was amazing and talented. The food was delicious. I would eat here again.

Our chef was Otto, he is the best, very friendly and polite. His tricks were amazing. My kids love them, and the food delicious. Windy was our waitress very nice and lovely. Both make us feel welcome. Definitely we are coming back.

We Came 2 Celebrate My Grandson's Girlfriends Return From Italy & We Had A Wonderdul Tyme!!! The Hostess Sat Us, Our Waitress Alicia Was Attentive & Then Jose Our Chef Stole The Show!!! He Was Funny, Swift W/ His Utensils, & Catered 2 Everyone At That Table!!! My 3 Year Old Granddaughter Loved His Antics!!! We Will DEFINITELY Return Bcuz It Was A Krazy, Kewl, Adventure!!!

This was my dates first time here and it didn't let us down. The server was good and the cook Vincent was awesome.

I must say, I come here every Thursday or I should say once every other week and so far this is by far my best experience yet. I have never done a review because none was worth doing. The food was always basic and the chef never interacted with us UNTIL TODAY. TODAY, WAS MY BEST EXPERIENCE HERE. My chef goes by the name Eli, the food was extremely tasty and he had our attention through and through. This was my mom's first time herr and he made her experience amazing to the point she says to me, I want to come here for my birthday so he can cook for me again and with disappointment I said to her we can't request him, we just got lucky today. He had the table filled with life and had us engaged every step of the way. He educated us on the sauces which no one has ever done and was very polite and professional. His attitude and demeanor filled the atmosphere and made eating here a pleasure. I hope this won't be my last meal here. They need more chefs like Eli. 🥰

Chef Adil was amazing, friendly and extremely talented chef with crazy knife skills. And waitress was busting her hump covering all the tables and making sure everything was refilled and all the tables around us included all happy. Best time over had here in 20+ years of coming. Keep it up guys!

Charlie was a great chef and he made the whole table laugh! Also, was a cautious chef. Brian was the best waiter I could ever ask for. I’m definitely coming back just for Charlie and Brian.

Chef eli was great. Even made some dancing onions. He entertained us so well that made that made everybody felt happy and satisfied.
