This place exceeded our expectations by far. We made a last minute reservation for a romantic dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Everything about the restaurant is authentic Italian experience, from the kind and friendly owner, the wait staff, the decor to the delicious freshly cooked food. It had us reminiscing of our visit to Italy and was some of the most satisfying pasta we’ve had in a while.
Highly recommend this place. The owner was very generous and got us a complimentary dish of the delicious bread pudding when we were unable to make up our minds about dessert choices. Grazie mille for opening such a wonderful restaurant in our little town. Will be coming back here.

One of our favorite places for date night, or just having delicious Italian food. Service is great. Food is amazing. The specials are always good. We love their ossobuco and the fish is delicious.

We don't usually go out to Italian restaurants as we cook Italian food at home every day, however, we made an exception for our anniversary and tried Boccone South. The food was excellent as was the service. Silvio's warm welcome made us feel like we were long lost relatives. The menu options we chose were amazing and they clearly put an effort to create unique and exquisite specials whose flavor combinations were exceptional. We can't wait to go back with friends and family.

The MOST amazing Italian food that I've had outside of Italy! The service is excellent, and the food is to-die-for. We had the octopus appetizer (unbelievably tender) and the striped bass with risotto which was unbelievable, never would have thought fish could be so good. And the bread pudding dessert was out of this world. I've had bread pudding in the past but never understood why it was so popular... until now. Their homemade bread pudding with homemade cherry Gelato was incredible. It's so wonderful to have an authentic Italian restaurant in town! We will be back!

The food is amazing! The service is always exceptional! They are super accommodating since I am vegetarian. The owner has a great personality, provides great conversation, and treats you like family!

Love this place. We go their often. Nice family style restaurant. Starting from bread to appetizers to entree and finishing the meal with a dessert, everything was delicious. We had a very Personalized experience. We will continue to go there and will highly recommend!

I went to dinner with my wife and a another couple. The owner was walking the floor and talking to customers, he stopped by our table and made us feel like family. Then he shared some house specials with us. The food was superb, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was elegant. I will be coming back!

Great restaurant! Only have been here once, but the service / ambiance and the quality of food did provide a good experience. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. A bit higher priced, the specialty soup Cozze pomo doro fresco was $15, the specialty Beef Short Rib was $39...however, both were great.

Keep in mind it is BYOB. Did not bring our wine, but the owner was kind enough to bring us two glasses of good white wine - very outgoing guy, focused on you having a good time, the traditional Italian way.

Would recommend to them a streamlined process for handling reservations and also dealing with everything when really busy.

My heart is always with Georgio and his lovely restaurant. No matter where he goes, we follow. Tonight had a beautiful 18th birthday with my son and everyone was so kind and the food excellent, or usual. I love them and the place. 5 stars. I'm glad they're busy. He deserves it

The meals that my wife and I had were tasty and well presented. The server was knowledgable and attentive. I must give special recognition to Nicole who appeared to be managing staff in the evening. She gave direction to a new member of the service staff that served our table. She showed authority yet was patient with the new staff member.
The menu here was reasonably priced. There were quite a few 'Special' offerings.
The restaurant is large yet the layout is such that you dont feel lost. The lines of site are conducive for the wait staff to see if you need assistance. The staff was very attentive.
We enjoyed bringing our own bottle to the restaurant.
I highly recommend making this a monthly or bi-monthly experience. The menu has that many offerings.

I went to Boccone with family and friends. The dishes were beautifully arranged and were delicious. Silvio and his staff were so friendly and attentive. Everyone loved their food.

The best authentic Italian food that you can find in northern New Jersey. Almost everything is homemade and tasted absolutely delicious. The owner and everyone that works there takes pride in what is offered and it shows. I am so happy to have this restaurant so close by and not have to go to Brooklyn for real Italian food. The owner is one of the nicest and kindest restaurant owners I've ever met. The food is immaculate, and you always leave with a full stomach and a hungering for more. It's the best Italian food I've had to date. Eating this food set my bar higher than I thought it could be for Italian dishes.

best BYOB around. Definitely recommend taking the drive. The staff is absolutely amazing and the food couldn’t be better. I highly recommend the bread pudding and any of the homemade pastas. The portions are large and everything is made fresh to order. Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience especially with Covid-19 restrictions. Absolutely loved Michael and the owner; can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed the spicy muscles, Strozzapretti, and were wowed by the bread pudding - like devoured it! Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes.

Overall, Boccone South offers a lovely dining experience with a touch of authentic Italian charm.

We loved this place, was our first time and after starting with a good appetizer it was one surprise after another. Every plate came from the kitchen, better and with more and more flavor. Can’t waiting to come back and try another.
