Essex Pizza

Delicious pizza with good sauce and good proportion and quality of toppings. Workers are very friendly and pleasant. I love this place

We were still hungry after Momofuku, and we were wandering around and found this little hole in the wall place, and it smelt soooo good from a block away. We ordered a magrita and pepperoni pie, and it’s just perfect. The pizza that saved our night!

The best hospitality I have ever had a pizza restaurant. We arrived at 4:30 am after leaving a nearby club, and I was shivering to death. They took me behind the counter, let me get warm by the ovens and gave me a jacket until we left about an hour later. Super friendly guys, very fun to talk to and the pizza was also just as amazing! Totally recommend you will not be disappointed and once again the nicest people I have come across in the city.

No frills, hole in the wall with great pizza.

I ordered a margherita slice and a garlic and mushroom slice. Both were excellent. Definitely better than the pizza place a couple doors down. Crust was on the softer, less crispy side. Ingredients tasted fresh. Will def come back if I'm in the area!

Swung by for a quick bite and was surprised by the flavor. Better than some of the dollar pizza places around the city, as you can taste the sauce and the dough was perfectly cooked and not soggy.

Hands down one of the best meat lovers slices I've ever had. Just come here and try it.

Their margarita was good.
The one with the ranch sauce and sausages was great.
The one with different types of sausages was okay.

Excellent pizza! I moved away from the NY area years ago, and finding good pizza has been difficult where I live now. I found this place on my way back to the airport after a weekend trip to NYC with the fam, and I’m so glad I did! Some of the best pizza I’ve had, ever. Great service as well! I will be back very soon.

Good pizza crust was crunchy and was nyc style I'd give it a 6 out of 10

Pizza was great a a great price. The plates are a little thin, but otherwise great.

Of all the slices I've had I have to say after it was all said and done, Essex Pizza is in my top 3. The crust was perfectly thin and chewy.

Great pizza. Was in town for 3 days and tried out new slices every day. Personally was a fan of the buffalo chicken and pepperoni (roni cup) pineapple pizzas.
