Oh Corn! Arepas

We just finished our family brunch and got back to the hotel. With not much to do outside in winter, I thought I’d write a review for the Venezuelan food we just ate. We LOVE the food, my 9-yr daughter who has already developed appetite and criteria for food, commented she could eat there all day long! Everything from the appetizer, to drink, coffee and dessert is delicious! And I wanted to add, all the custom-made sauces are fresh and tasty! The owner was very attentive. Not many customers around at that time, we were able to have a conversation about the food and the place. He showed us the ingredient in its original form and told us how the specific foods are prepared in different ways. My 9-yr old enjoyed it so much. Also, the art pieces created by the family member are so authentic and interesting, adding so much flare to the place.
Thanks for giving us a wonderful food and culture experience on our trip! We’ll be back for more!

Hidden gem! This place is an ideal spot for a date if you are into trying amazing Venezuelan food! The food here is delicious and I’m in love with all the sauces they have! Their beef empanadas are must haves! Staff is great and helps you navigate the menu if you need it. Service was quick and easy on the pocket!

Visited from NYC and had a craving for some comfort food and this gem did not disappoint. We had the cachapas and chicken filled arepas!! Sooo good!! The fresh pineapple juice sealed the deal!!

The arepa selection here is off the charts, not to mention stellar staples like arroz con pollo, empanadas, and tostones. All that amazing-ness was beautifully finished off with arguably the best tres leches cake I've ever had in my life - so good that it alone would be enough of a reason for me to go back.

Love it here! Arepas are delicious and rice and chicken in really good too. Been going here since they were in CP, still go to them in troy even though its a little farther from me. Still worth the trip!

10/10 Recommend. We went here while scouting wedding venues (we live in BK) and had a delicious, filling and speedy table-service lunch. We had the Vegan Queen and Vegan Maduros arepas. They were fantastic and paired perfectly with the house made sauces that accompany them. A must-visit for all eaters (lots of meat and cheese options) who want that burger-and-fries feeling from something that’s not a burger and fries.

The service and atmosphere are top notch! Very friendly server and a great ambience. The arepas are good, but when you add the sauces to them, that's when they really shine! So make sure you try all four sauces, and then dip you arepas into generous amounts of them, and you have a winning dining experience!

Great, friendly staff and Amazing Arepas and empanadas! The cilantro salsa is the best it the 4 delicious options. I had the crème brûlée cheesecake and really enjoyed it.

Friendly, and fast service!! Delicious food! I ordered a cheese cachapa and it was amazing!! I also tried the arepas with beans and the areperitas! All delicious! A must spot to check out in Troy!

The place is small and cozy home feeling few tables. The decor is is nice. The service was great and the food was fantastic. As a Latino brought me memories have the food. Delicioso delicioso 🇨🇺🇨🇺🇨🇺 sorry i ate most of my food before taking pictures lol my friend and will be back

Great vegan and vegetarian options! The cilantro sauce is so good we had to buy a bottle for home. Highly recommend!

The upstairs space has a beautiful view of the river on one side, and downtown troy on the other! We had three dishes and an appetizer and all of it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend

Super accommodating and welcoming! Food is fantastic--this was our first time at the new location and we were pleasantly surprised how the menu had expanded. Our go-to when we visit the area.

Great new addition to riverfront food scene. Small place with a few tables. Tried the pernil and The King arepas, tostones and quesillo.

Pernil was juicy and delicious. The shredded beef in the king was also great. When I first saw the prices, I thought it was a little bit pricy for arepas. But these things are massive and overstuffed. One will fill up most people, if they can even finish it. Definitely worth it. The tostones and quesillo (a denser, slightly less sweet flan) were both solid too.

Will definitely be back regularly to get through some of the other options.

Everything was great from the food to the service. Been going to them since their CP days and they continue to dish excellent food in a beautiful building.

I loved it!! I tasted arepas for the first time through a friend when I lived in England and I never had the opportunity to taste it again... The place is beautiful and cozy, very polite and kind desk.

Omg the food was incredible. The wait was a little long but well worth it!! We had the domino arepas and they were so tasty. 10/10 food spot!
