Country Hot Bagels

Ever since I have come here with my family, it's the only place we get bagels from and one of the only places we get egg sandwiches from.

Food: I cannot say just how much I love the bagels here! They're made fresh every single day, the texture is so soft and fluffy even after a couple days, and they taste fantastic. Bagels from many places taste like dishwater to me for some reason, but not this place. Try to get a bagel that is fresh hot from the oven, those are the best! My family always comes here to order egg sandwiches too. I will admit, the price is off-putting, but the business is family-owned, I'd be more than happy to support a local business, and the food is delicious. They certainly care about their quality. I believe you also get a free coffee with the breakfast sandwiches.

Service: Everybody I have met here are always smiling and having a good time, which goes to show how positive the work environment is. My only complaint, however, is somebody keeps forgetting to put ketchup on our egg sandwiches.

Atmosphere: Listen to me here: you're not meant to come here for the atmosphere, you're meant to come to come here for the food. The inside can feel cramped; beware of that. But the flow of customers coming in and going out is smooth. There are a few neat displays of old television characters as well.

If I were to recommend any bagels in the world, it would be those from County Hot Bagels. The egg bagels are just too good!

I’d like to give the customers a different perspective because I was also a worker at country hot bagels for years. Let me start off by saying that the owner (Neil) is one of the best people I’ve ever known. Also, the other gentlemen baking the bagels are EXTREMELY nice and respectful. The owner and the two bakers are on a whole different level when it comes to making the bagels and other foods they offer like flavored cream cheese’s etc. My experience working there will be forever ingrained into my fondest memories. I’ve never had a better work environment or a better boss and I haven’t worked there in approximately 15-20 years! The food is otherworldly and the workers and surrounding people are basically a family. I could walk in there tomorrow and still feel at home. That’s the type of place Country Hot Bagels was, and I’m sure it still is. Please stop in to support one of the best establishments I’ve ever come across!

This shop has some of the best Bagels on Long Island with zero competition providing identical quality. The Staff are stellar and extremely organized with managing customer flow and the associated orders.

Hands down the best bagels in all of Long Island. Better bagels than in the city. Been coming here for over 30 years. Great egg sandwiches, cream cheese, coffee cake and coffee too.

20 + years getting bagels and breakfast sandwiches here. Perfect everytime. Including the eggs. Fresh AF & friendly. Well I guess as friendly as you can be with a line out the door. Worth the wait everytime.

Moved to this area one year ago and have been bouncing around bagel places, finally went here today and wow - they have got some good bagels!!

Delicious fresh bagels - often warm out of the oven. The $9 lox and cream cheese bagel is huge and totally worth it. Bagels with assorted cream cheeses are around $3.

Nice cozy bagel shop with high quality, reasonably priced offerings. Gets a bid crowded from time to time but the staff knows what they are doing and the occasional wait is well worth the good bagel.

Outstanding bagels for a buck apiece and made right there - as you're standing at the counter you can see the kettle in back. Assorted cream cheeses to top them off - highly recommend the Jalapeno/Bacon. Service is super fast and all smiles.

About $1.10 a bagel (before toppings) with a great selection of baked goods and toppings. Crazy cream cheese variety including lox, scallion, bacon, jalapeno, etc. I got the sunflower seed bagel with brown sugar cream cheese. Perfect portions as well. Some places skimp on cream cheese but I'm satisfied here. Great customer service as well. Cash only.

This is my favorite bagel shop on LI. When I come back to visit family, I go here every single morning. Food is great. Plenty of crazy old collectibles to look at while you wait, and the people who work there are cool.

The bagels will be very country hot this Saturday because it will be 93 degrees outside. I can't believe it is going to be 93 degrees outside this Saturday, I had an ice party planned with me and my friends and now it is going to be ruined because the ice will melt, do you think the weather man is telling the truth?

Amazing place, the bagel were nice and crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I got the egg, sausage and cheese on an onion bagel and it was delicious! The staff were very friendly and included a cup of tea with my bagel. I would definitely recommend this place, the best in Long Island!
