Just had our 22 year old Drexel heritage dining set with eight chairs refinished and re upholstered. They look beautiful. Brand new. CLS was wonderful to work with. Michael came to our home and brought fabric samples. They picked up the furniture and delivered it back on time. We went to see a sample of the stain finish and the fabric, just to make sure it was right. The whole process was amazing to see. Highly recommend using CLS. YOU WILL BE VERY PLEASED!!

Ray and his team completely transformed our dining room chairs and made the process easy from first call to delivery. Our chairs were completely rebuilt- taken down to the wood frame, and made like new while maintaining their character. We picked from hundreds of thousands of samples in their showroom to find the perfect fabric for our chairs and our style. Ray advised us and offered plenty of options so we knew we were making the right choice. Tina and AnnMarie were so friendly, help, and accommodating while planning pickup and delivery. We could not be happier with the outcome, and look forward to working with the team again in the future.

The folks at CLS are an absolute pleasure to deal with. We had a slight problem with the cushions on our newly upholstered couch which was delivered over the weekend. Monday morning, we called and spoke to Tina who had someone here in less than an hour. Not only that, the fellow they sent, Ron, treated our couch cushions as if they were his own and managed to get the modifications done and the cushions back in place that afternoon. Talk about customer service! This was our second time using CLS. We went back to them because the quality and finish on the dining room chairs they previously did for us was excellent. I'm happy to say that the couch is the same high quality. In this day and age where quality and service is becoming a rarity, it's great to see a family business that does top notch work and stands behind it. Great job and thanks, CLS.

Eddie, the refinisher at CLS, has given a 1970's maple butcher block table a new life! He made a stain for the legs of the table to match the frame of new chairs. He has been called a wizard and I agree! CLS is the ONLY company I will use for upholstery and refinishing. Thank you once again, Eddie, Mike, Pat and the whole CLS crew!!

CLS we’re great. We inherited some beautiful and incredibly comfortable but v worn chairs and didn’t want to throw them. We wanted to take a chance with the fabric and Mike helped us source a fabric much more reasonable than the one we’d found and took us on the journey as they transformed and reworked the chairs. We love them and loved the whole experience!

My parents chair from 1970 with it’s beautiful goldenrod color which was stylish at the time was updated. Shop at home service to pick out the fabric and pickup up and dropping off of the chair made it seamless . Re-upholstering and renovating furniture is not cheap but having a 40+ year old family heirloom be brought back to life is priceless . Highly recommend this company

The very best on Long Island…Wish I could give this family owned business 10 stars! My recent experience with CLS Custom Upholstery was over the top excellent! They redid my tremendous Thomasville sectional as well as an oversized Thomasville chair and ottoman. To be perfectly honest, the craftsmanship of CLS Custom Upholstery puts Thomasville to shame! Ray Catalano came to my house in early May with tons of fabric samples based on the color scheme I told him I was changing to. Trust Ray, he has quite an eye for coordinating fabrics to your needs. He’s been in this business for many years. He is a people person! His expertise helped guide me to making the perfect choices for the couch, chair, and coordinating throw pillows. His men came 5 days later to carefully remove the furniture. In the interim we repainted and installed new carpeting. About 3 weeks later, the reupholstered work was complete and they delivered it back to my home and placed it exactly where I wanted it. I love, love, love it! My furniture is better than new! Their workmanship is truly top notch. Their communication with me was spot on. They are perfectionists, and it shows. There’s a solid reason they’ve been around so long, and it’s called QUALITY.

My experience with CLS was exceptional from start to finish. Mike helped me get started on my quest for the perfect fabric to recover my furniture. Tina and AnneMarie were always helpful and responsive along the way. It took me a while to find exactly what I was looking for and I found searching online to be more helpful than searching in the showroom. I ordered several samples and had them sent directly to my home so I could see the fabric in the correct light of the room. Once that was done, the pick up and delivery was seamless and a quick turn around. Their pick up and delivery teams were also professional and handled our furniture with care. The prices at CLS are a bit higher than other upholsterers but in this case, you get what you pay for as the craftsmanship is superior. I am extremely pleased with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend CLS!

This furniture was originally a cherry wood similar to the inside of the drawers. It was well worn and shabby looking from years of use. I wanted it darker and much of the redness diminished. The stain master Eddie G and I met and we decided on this color. I love the finished product. It looks exquisite, like brand new. Everyone at CLS were so professional,and, when I first and saw where the furniture restoration was done I could see how committed and proud of their work all the employees are. They should be. They made this lady very happy with their craftsmanship. Even the furniture movers treated my furniture like it was their own, and, were so careful moving it. I give this company 5 stars.

Fast service. Fabric arrived earlier than quoted and furniture was completed sooner than expected. The furniture looks amazing!! I am beyond thrilled with how it turned out. You would never know that these pieces are 20 years old!!

I cannot say enough good things about this family run business! This is one of the best experiences we’ve had with a business. We were in desperate need of new chair cushions for our kitchen set and we needed them in a hurry as we were expecting guests. I wasn’t sure where to go but googled furniture upholsters and CLS came up in the search with 5 stars and 75 years in business. I reached out to them right away and now I know why they earned 5 stars! I wish I could give them more stars! Ann Marie, Mike and Jennifer were so helpful. Mike is one of the owners and really takes his time to understand your needs and explains the process to you fully including a tour of the workshop if you’d like. Additionally, our turnaround time for the chairs was amazingly fast as Mike knew we needed the chairs back quickly and we thank him and the team for that. Our chairs cushions came out beautiful and restored better than the original. Such beautiful fabric and for such a great price! The quality of the new cushions is unmatched, feels like sitting on a cloud! I wish I had kept some older furniture for them to restore. CLS Custom Upholsters is the best and my family and I highly recommend them!!!

CLS restored my great grandmother’s chair (over 100 years old), could not believe how beautiful it was! Better than brand new! The whole team was caring and professional, I would not hesitate to recommend!

In 2004, while living on Long Island, CLS Custom Upholsterers made slipcovers for our new Ethan Allen sectional. White brushed denim, they have worn like iron all these years, and they still look great after having been washed in hot water and chlorine bleach at least 40 times! And they just survived another move as we recently downsized to a townhome. I do the couch cushions myself in my washing machine and send the backs out to a cleaner.

I can't praise this family-owned company enough, from the time and care that was taken in measuring our couches, to the quality of workmanship, to the timely delivery before our move to Florida, and the incredible caring and efficient staff.
