Dr. Laurie Stein is the best! We have come to her for 20 years now starting with a rescue dog. I always recommend her. We love her compassion and knowledge. She even takes care of my scary Felix the cat who is more noise than action but she’s super sweet with him even though he turns into cat Cujo.
Support her rescue too! She’s awesome.

I’m from out of state, Georgia to be exact and my dog became I’ll with a gastric issue. It was a Saturday morning prior to New Years and the doctor was booked and working alone. Though she was busy like 2 other larger practices that turned me down, she worked me in. Yes it isn’t a fancy place like the others may be but you won’t get the service and compassion like she gives. May I also STATE, she doesn’t gouge you like the others. My jaw dropped when I saw how little the bill was, plus she gave me several samples of GI foods to give my dog. If I lived within 50 miles of Main Street veterinary clinic I would go there in a heartbeat!

We just moved from Manhattan & I dreaded having to find a new vet, as mine was fantastic.

However, I can honestly say that finding Laurie Stein has been one of the HIGHLIGHTS of our move! She’s absolutely FANTASTIC, I could speak to her for hours about our sphynx cats! Hands-down the BEST veterinarian we’ve ever seen! She takes the time to get to know the pets, not just the owners! 👏

Dr Stein is the best around. She truly does this to help animals and is not in it for the money. I cannot thank her enough for what she’s done for my dogs.

Three years ago was my first day meeting Dr. Stein and I would highly recommend her. My cat Freya and Mia agree!! She was such a pleasure to talk to and answered every question I had..You can tell immediately her love and compassion for animals and her prices are very reasonable. The vet was recommended to me by a coworker that also has labradors, I was very happy to finally find a good reliable vet. She really loves animals, she is patient and caring with them. She has great knowledge of her profession. She will care for your pet as if it was her own.
Her prices are fair; you will not be charge outrageous prices.
She also donates to animals in need, and has a lot of rescue animals on her personal care.
You will not regret taking your pet to this vet, she is truly amazing.

So great and considerate with animals. When i brought our rescue dog for the first time to Dr. Stein's office, she gave so much advice to help training him. I love how attentive she was to him. She even pulled a tick off him that I was unable to get off. She is not overly priced like many places. Highly recommend this office for your veterinarian needs.

Dr. Laurie is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, you get the sense she has years of practical experience to rely on, and I trust her judgment. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

Dr. Laurie Stein has been my veterinarian for well over 20 years and I refuse to go anywhere else unless it’s an emergency (flannery is awful and all about the $$$). She’s been there to help when I was in need for many years and she always made it easier to not be scared to call her thinking im going to go completely broke if I take my dog/cat there because she’s not about making a profit ... she’s about caring for your animal family.. She dedicated her life for the love of Animals and sacrificed her own personal life for them and she’s the best of the best and always will be. ❤

I have been going to Main St. Veterinary Clinic for 16 years ... I would not go anywhere else!!! Dr. Stein is absolutely fabulous with my dog ... she is a gem!!! Whenever I take my dog to see her, I am more than pleased with our visit. All vets should take lessons from her ... she truly loves animals!!!!!!!!!

Dr Stein is amazing!!! Friendly, helpful, and patient I will bring my precious little Skye to her only!! Reasonable prices she's not out to break you, she truly loves animals and it shows 😌

Laurie is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Prices are fair. We felt so comfortable brining our rescue Pitbull to her. She answered any questions we had. Would def recommmend her to anyone! Was able to get a quick appointment.

I must drive by at least 10 vet offices on the 40 minute ride to Main Street Veterinary Clinic, including some within a few miles of my home. Unlike the feeling I get from other clinics that appear to put more emphasis on generating income, Dr. Stein is special indeed. Here are a few personal examples I've experienced:
1) After taking my then 4 yr. Yorkie to a local vet for a routine check up, they noticed a slightly loose tooth and gave me an estimate of over $600 for the removal, the anesthesia, the possible over-night stay "just in case," plaque removal from the other teeth, as well as an unnecessary sense of urgency. This was the circumstance that prompted me to finally give Dr. Stein a try after my friend had highly recommended her. After personally speaking with me on the phone (the first good sign) I brought in my dog. Bottom line- $30 and plaque free teeth later I was on my way and knew I'd never go to another vet again if I didn't have to. No unnecessary procedures (the tooth did not need to be removed), no over-kill, no attempt to churn up additional services, no false sense of urgency. Just a wonderful, caring, and competent lady.
2) As my cat approached the end of any quality of life I called a few places to see what I should do. I got the typical answers and prices for the various options- cremation, put her to sleep and take her home for burial, etc. Dr. Steins response- "I could never charge anyone to put their beloved pet to sleep." (Sorry doc, I hope you don't get a flood of calls for free services!) She simply loves animals and wants to do what's best. Granted, I was already a regular customer and would have paid whatever the fee, but this was a display of true caring in practice.

Now all this said, if you're the kind of person who will be put off by Norton the pig snoring in the lobby or the various cats and birds around, then Main Street Veterinary Clinic isn't for you. But if you agree with me that there are just some attributes a great vet should have that simply can't be learned in veterinary school, then there is no where else to go!
