Top notch food from an expert chef whos care for the food and customer shows in every facet of the dining experience. Had my birthday dinner here and the only regret we had leaving was not stopping in sooner. The best filet mignon I've ever had period

I went for a Food & Wine paired dinner with the Mid Hudson Food & Wine Society. The restaurant put together a great menu for the evening. Very cozy inside. I'd like to go back in the summer when you can sit on the outside deck next to the babbling brook.

Really enjoyed a special dinner here outside in their back courtyard. They have heat lamps but it was unseasonably warm for the end of September and they weren't needed. They were meticulous about cleaning between diners and staff wearing masks. The food quality was high and there was a high degree of attention. Prices were reasonable for what I believe is the nicest restaurant in town. We got the fixed price meal and a nice bottle of NY wine. The swiss menu was comforting if not a little bit hardy 😉😁 They have a parking lot behind the restaurant.

Just love going there. My husband had pork/spaetzle dish that he said was as authentic as it gets. The spaetzle was light and airy. I had the fitness teller with shrimp and lentils which was also delicious. Both served with fresh cut vegetables. Topped off with a "healthy" glass of wine. The chef gets 5 stars!!

We look forward to eating here a few times a year and love it; great food, great ambiance. We came here last night for a birthday dinner and everything was great. For appetizers we had calamari in spicy sauce and a Canterbury sampler, both were excellent. As entrées we had sauerbraten, veal langoustine and salmon over lentils all of which were very good

Our one and only complaint is that the hostess, a heavier set blond in a red sweater was just totally miserable and has no business working in the hospitality industry. She made a snide comment to my mother when we requested to not sit near the restroom. Myself and the rest of my party observed her the entire length of the meal being rude to patrons with her nasty expressions and trash talking of patrons to the wait staff. Very rude and unprofessional.

Service was great and the food was on point. Nice selection on the menu. Drinks were made very well.check it out if you are nearby in the Hudson Valley.

This place is a true comfort. The staff is friendly and professional. The food is delicious. You want to linger over coffee/ tea and delicious deserts. Our family actually had a small, perfect wedding there and it was romantic and perfect

We shared a mushroom risotto appetizer followed by Wienerschnitzel and Fruits de Mer. All were delicious. Wienerschnitzel was light and tender. Spätzle was just right. Really good service: attentive but not intrusive.

We parked behind the building and were seated immediately to a very cozy nook inside. The chatter was not too loud at all. They had a very straightforward menu. The staff were so quick and quiet to top off waters. I ordered the duck special and it was delicious and the details were well thought out, so delicious. Did not feel rushed at all. We will be coming back!

It's a great restaurant that can challenge some very good New York restaurants. I usually don't give 5 stars, but in comparison to what you can get in the city, this Cornwall gem deserves it. A must try.

Delicious! And the atmosphere is so cozy and homey feeling. There is nothing like it. This is my go to birthday spot. The food is delicious. Idk if they do it anymore but for dessert they used to make Apple fritters. They were out of this world. I would dream about them at night. They’ve since shopped making them, which put me into a temporary mild state of depression. But with or without them, this restaurant is still worth going to! I Highly recommend it and I don’t make recommendations often. So when I do, just know it’ll be a good one!

Mother's Day at Canterbury Brook Inn. We all enjoyed our food. The Filet Mignon was out of this world. Even the roasted potatoes were great even if I was not a fan of them before eating them. All salads were eaten in a matter of a few minutes, yes they were that good or the five of us were really hangry, I mean hungry. We did have seconds on the bread when we were eating our salad. The French Onion soup was delicious, I even peeled some cheese off of the bowl. The French Onion soup was also not loaded with salt and that was talked about amongst us, we were all a fan of the low salt.The desserts were great too we shared Key Lime pie and Apple Fritters. We will be back to celebrate Father's Day.

Throwback to when great food, service and cozy surroundings ruled! Wonderful Swiss-inspired cuisine. What is supposed to be hot is piping hot. What is supposed to be chilled is superbly chilled. Awesome cocktails. Sit at the bar at the fireplace in cold weather. You can't go wrong!

My wife and I go to the Canterbury Brook Inn for all our special occassions and it does not disappoint. Each dish is made with care and the bartender is a pro at what they do. I would definitely recommend getting some spaetzle, even as a side, it is delicious!

I had dinner with family and had fried calamari as appetizer and dinner was steak frites... rare...Absolutely Delicious!
Service was phenomenal with our waitress showing the perfect balance of how's everything going and letting us enjoy our meal.

First time there. Cute and quaint. Staff very friendly. Ate off the specials menu. Great deal. Really enjoyed it. I'd recommend making a reservation. They are popular.
