Powerhouse GYM - Mahopac

Just signed up for the gym access and Muay Thai classes and Rick made it very easy for me. I’ve just started the Muay Thai but the classes are really welcoming and Rick is super helpful in explaining things and understanding. Very excited to be a part of it!

The kids programs (Brazilian jiu jitsu and muay thai) are outstanding. The staff is phenomenal in their ability to connect with each kid, building them up individually, while creating sense of community and empathy among each other.

I have not only seen my kids physical strength flourish, but have seen their mental and emotional understanding grow immensely. I highly recommend investing in your kids growth in confidence and creating healthy lifestyle patterns by checking their trial classes out. (*BONUS* they have a gym upstairs so if you if join the gym you can work out while your kids do class.)

Really don’t know how you can say anything negative about this gym. They have all the equipment one would need AND it all looks brand new. Everything is extremely clean. The music is actually appropriate for a gym. However, the most impressive aspect is the superb staff. I’ve worked at a gym for 5 years and have worked out at several times other gyms, but I can solidly say that the staff here are genuinely the most transparent, kind, understanding, and helpful of any I’ve experienced. Hats off to these guys. Premium facility at a premium price, but after only one workout I can solidly say: worth every penny.

I have been a member of Powerhouse Mahopac for almost 1 year. The gym is well maintained. Equipment, locker rooms, and common areas are always kept clean. All staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Gym offers a variety of classes. I also have been working with one of there personal trainers on a weekly basis since joining the gym and have met my goals and exceeded my expectations. Overall Powerhouse Mahopac does a great job at creating a comfortable workout environment and assisting their members on their fitness journey.

Great gym and atmosphere. Staff is welcoming, helpful, and involved in your development. I take many of the classes there and each instructor is helpful and informative. They put up with my endless tirade of questions. They also have some really great apparel too. You get what you pay for which is great quality and good atmosphere.

Went and took advantage of the free trail they were advertising and was impressed on all accounts. Spoke to their consultant. Very friendly and knowledgeable in this field. The equipment was new and very nice. Place was spotless and abiding by all the covid regulations. I liked it so much I signed up on an annual agreement after my workout. Great gym.

Here is my review of the Nuts on Chocolate shake I received from the Powerhouse shake bar:

Presentation: 5 out of 5 - The chocolate swirls on the inside of the cup were a nice touch.

Taste - 5 out of 5 - Well blended, not chalky/dry like some protein powder based shakes can be, and the individual flavors were well balanced. No one individual flavor was in the foreground, they all worked well together to bring forth a delicious peanut butter/chocolate blend.

Portion size - 5 out of 5 - I was impressed by how large the shake was despite how much they charge for it/the number of ingredients; it is a good deal in my opinion.

If you are looking for a nice peanut butter/chocolate shake to enhance your workout, this could possibly be a good choice.

Great gym with friendly staff. Delicious shakes, nice sauna, and all the equipment I need to get in a good workout. The manager is very helpful and approachable, great guy.

The jiu jitsu and Muay Thai classes are so much fun. You can learn so much from the classes. The gym is always organized and clean!

Great place to work out or just exercise. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and welcoming. I especially like the key fob option where you can get in any time you have time to go to the gym, you're not restricted to certain hours.

Staff is great! They were all very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. They offer kickboxing classes for kids and my 5 year old loved it.

If your looking for a place that can be for everyone this is it. It's a gym. It's a smoothie bar. It's a place for advice on training and nutrition. It's a place to learn many martial arts and self defense. It's a place to take a variety of fitness classes. The trainers are patient and encouraging and meet you and your level. I recommend for all ages and genders. Hope to see you there.

I recommend Physical Therapist Irwin Mercader. He is very professional and attentive. He reviewed my MRI showing a rotator cuff tear and set up a personalized exercise program for me. I received one on one care. It has been great experience.

This facility is fantastic. Promotes a great overall vibe and sense of community, a staff that is professional and always willing to assist members, a clean and tidy environment with well kept equipment and never over crowed. Oh and it’s 24 hours! Boom!
