I was in a bind & needed to get a power wheelchair moved upstairs. Jackie & Bruce were great. They quickly relieved me of my stress with their understanding of my situation & willingness to do whatever needed to be done. They even took care of it the same day I called. The 3 guys they sent over were quick and friendly, even though it was a difficult task. I cannot thank them enough. They are the type of business that cares about their customers, a rarity these days. Don't hesitate to use them for your moves.

William Comins and Leah were professional and available from start to finish. Their guidance removed stress of moving after 56 years in my home. Crew was accommodating, humorous, while fast and hardworking. They consciously packed , loaded, delivered furniture, artwork, piano, all precious belongings with no damage!

Top notch moving professionals. Friendly, punctual, fast and strong. William Comens, their moving coordinator guided me from start to finish. He is experienced, knowlegeable, well organized and his guidance made a stressful exit from my home of 42 years easier. The day of the move the crew arrived on time and packed everything quickly and carefully. They were superfast and friendly. I highly recommend them for your next move. No worries.

Overall, would not recommend this company. The movers themselves were very nice and pleasant and are the only reason for the two stars. The salesperson who came to give us an estimate on the cost and size of the move was very wrong in his estimation. The movers left behind many many boxes that didn’t fit in the truck. My husband also had to help them unload the truck in order to finish in the estimated amount of time. This wasn’t the end of the world as he didn’t mind helping, but the severe miscalculation of the truck size caused us a lot of trouble after paying this company a lot of money. When we reached out to them after the move, they were slow to return our calls and took no accountability, and even claimed that we must have “added more to your shipment” after the estimate.

This company hires a 3rd party company to provide leads that uses unethical and intrusive ad placement to generate assumedly private information likely through data brokers.

I am local but I will not ever use them, due to getting spammed with calls for visiting a single website(and not providing my phone number).

Hillside Moving Company had confirmed our moving time and date , then the morning of the move did not show up! We waited over an hour, called the office( no one there), called our sales agent Bill Comins, who after checking told us someone in the office took us off the list. He showed little sympathy for the stress we were going through, no apologies, and said the earliest someone could get to us was Monday of the following week . After expressing our level of disappointment and anger, we were hung up on! We have not heard from them since. We called the corporate office of United Van Lines, and thankfully they found another company to do the job that day. To say we we would NOT recommend them is an understatement!

My family and I have moved four times in the last 10 years.We have also trusted this company to store some very valuable antique furniture. The three previous moves went well with the regular glitches you might expect. However this fourth move that was an out of state move and it was a nightmare. Four men showed up on this past September 11th to start the move., pack and pack the truck. The four men worked well. We also had many items in storage that were suppose to be in a safe climate controlled storage. We paid a premium price for many years for the storage. On September 13th the truck arrived, at our new home with only two young men. They tried their best but they were completely over whelmed by the job. The story only gets worse. A valuable desk worth over ten thousand dollars arrived unwrapped and in pieces. We were stunned. The finial at the top was just broken off like it was a piece of garbage. The movers insisted, on taking a treadmill apart for ease of transport, but when it was put back together it did not work. The young men were flummoxed. I filed a claim in the beginning of October. The claim was filled with Joann who apparently does not work full time for the company. A set of Dewalt power tools just disappeared out of our garage, too. It was worth at least 500 dollars. The movers also told us we had paid for ten thousand pounds to be moved but we only had 8000 pounds so we should be refunded a considerable amount of money.

In three months I have herd nothing from Joe and his crew at Hillside There is non-existent customer service.
When I finally called all they could say to me is, well do you have a copy of all the paper work including the claim. I do have all this information that i am forwarding to the Better Business Bureau.
