Curated By the Sea opened downtown Santa Cruz a few month ago and has already become the "Must Go" Art Gallery. Especially on First Fridays when there are new exciting exhibitions attended by large crowds of artists and art lovers.The Gallery is a wide and beautiful space ideal to exhibit paintings and sculptures. Melissa, the owner, a charismatic visionary, makes every event unique and spectacular. The Gallery has become in no time a major player in Santa Cruz County large art community.

This gallery used to be in Capitola. They've moved into a super large art venue in downtown Santa Cruz, next to the MAH and opposite Trader Joes. Exhibiting both 2-D and 3-D pieces. Great local art. Really a fabulous space. Sometimes they host events as well.

I love this gallery. The director is both inclusive and discerning. She affords beginning artists the opportunity to show with some of Santa Cruz’s best. The gallery is often divided in two with movable walls creating two very separate art spaces using invited guest curators. She also hosts drawing salons, art meet ups, community exhibits and divergent art happenings including PIVOT bringing art and fashion together with custom tailored events and innovative collaborations. The gallery's First Fridays are not to be missed. Melissa Kreisa is a gift to our art community.

I've known Melissa for about five years now. She has a keen eye for fine art and I'm excited she has opened her own gallery in Capitola, CA. Curated (by the Sea) is the Fine Art gallery that this beautiful beach city needed, and I am grateful to be a part of it!

Curated by the Sea is a hidden gem. Melissa Kreisa, Gallery Director brings in a wonderful variety of top notched Bay Area artists to her gallery. She is very passionate about promoting the arts and brings great energy to the gallery. Definitely worth a visit!

Great locally owned gallery downtown Santa Cruz and very close the the art museum. Owner is committed to the local art scene. Melissa has graciously offered her space as one of three galleries to display art for the Tri-Gallery exhibition of local artist members of the Visual Arts Network's recent project to promote artists in Santa Cruz County. Exhibit runs through March 28th.

Curated by the Sea is a wonderful gallery. They are very involved with the local artist community. In February and March they are hosting the VAN ( Visual Art Network) exhibit featuring the work of artists that have been juried into Santa Cruz Open Studios.

Going to see the new gallery location for Curated by the Sea today in downtown Santa Cruz. When I visited the last time it was just setting up. What a great location and space! I liked it then and I'll report back.
