Santa Cruz Parkour

I started my 2 year old toddler in the teeny ninjas program and I can’t believe how much confidence he has grown since the first class. I feel so much more confident as a parent with him climbing, jumping, and rolling. Can’t wait to see how he improves as time goes on.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Coach Shorme's Parkour gym, and I must say, it's an absolute gem for anyone interested in the sport. My grandson is not only a devoted parkour athlete but also benefits from Coach Shorme's expertise as his coach. The experience at the gym was nothing short of fantastic. The atmosphere of the gym is undeniably cool and welcoming. The energy is infectious, and it's evident that Coach Shorme has created a space where passion for parkour thrives. If your in Santa Cruz definitely stop by and check them out.

Daniel, and the rest of SCPK! We had some challenges to work out behaviorally with our son and Shorme and Daniel were so incredibly great with him: patient, fun, firm, and kind. They seem to “get” each kid and their unique personality and push them to develop into wonderful human beings and amazing athletes. The teams’ athleticism is impressive and it is just a fun place for kids to go! I’m happy to report that we’re through that difficult chapter in our lives…I’m sure we owed thanks to SCPK for the part they played with my son. Highly, highly recommended.

We love Santa Cruz Parkour. Our 9YO son has been going for the past few years. We’ve also encourages six other friends to sign up and they love it too! Our son loves climbing trees and setting up physical challenges for himself. He has great upper body strength. Santa Cruz Parkour helps to work on his physical skills and strength as well as challenges him to push himself just a little bit further with each session. My son says that he likes “everything” about it.

We have been with Santa Cruz Parkour since they first went into business. My daughters started in mini ninjas and my oldest is now in Parkour level 1 having worked her way through mini ninjas and parkour fundamentals. We’ve participated in several summer camps and now my son gets to join the fun of mini ninjas. The teachers are exceptional with children, fun and playful but also just strict enough to not tolerate any sort of inappropriateness or misbehaving! My children have playful fun, get exercise, build strength, dexterity and confidence all in one place. They absolutely love and respect the teachers and they’ve received little certificates and awards as they graduate each level, which really helps them feel accomplished and recognize their hard work and how much they’ve learned. This program has been like an extended family and has been a huge blessing in our families lives!

We love Santa Cruz Parkour!! It has been such a positive place for our son. He LOVES the weekly classes as well as the summer camps! My two other kids have done the camps too and have had the best experiences. I am so impressed with the dedication Shorme and Daniel show to the kids and the sport. And the parkour space they have set up on Post Street is awesome!!

My child has been with BEISM for many years. The ideals and theory that BEISM movement and the Santa Cruz Parkour instructors utilize give kids a great sense of self. The team has provided an excellent platform for kids to explore a vast variety of movement and they instill a ton of confidence by encouraging their students to do their best. I have seen my son excel in other areas of his life due to the instructors care and instruction which extends to life beyond the gym and workouts. We love BEISM!

Santa Cruz Parkour is the best school for parkour in Santa Cruz. I can’t say enough. My daughter is 4 years old and attends the Mini Ninja class. It was her first extra-curricular activity she attended and from the first class jumped in full speed. The staff immediately made her feel comfortable and safe to explore new body movement and activities. They teach technique and foundational skills through play and she is learning the foundational skills necessary to explore this discipline at a rate that SHE is ready for. I like how they individualize the lesson and allow room for the student to explore and grow as they are ready and feel comfortable.

Best place ever!!!!! I can't say enough about this program and it's teachers! They have helped my son be so much more confident in himself. My son began this program with no experience or even interest in parkour or anything like it. He absolutely LOVES the instructors and makes sure he attends every possible practice when able to. I love that the instructors not only help these children in activities going on inside the gym, but go above and beyond helping them I'm life issues. When the owner and her assistant found out my son's grades were falling, they made sure before practice, he came in and got his homework done. My son feels comfortable talking to them about any and everything without judgement or feeling less than. When our vehicle was down, they took extra steps in reaching out to other participants to create carpooling that helped everyone out. This community and it's instructors (Shorme and Daniel) have become my son's village, guiding him as well as keeping him positive and focused on the best things in life. Molding him to become such an exceptional young man! I recommend Santa Cruz Parkour to all my friends with kids of ALL ages. Well worth the money, the time, the drive!!

All I can say is this place is one of the best things that’s ever happened to my child. During this whole COVID pandemic, as most of us have struggled w motivating our children. My son started Parkour about a year ago and I’ve watched him go from being pretty lazy bored and zoned out on games n phone. To waking up everyday excited to go out and practice Parkour and being way more self motivated. SCPK is like family now. My son has gotten so strong and feels like he has his crew. The coaches have been so welcoming and caring for my son through many challenges. My son is so much more grounded and better at communicating and being respectful. The gifts of this place goes on and on.
I am so infinitely grateful and excited to see him excel in life.

My son has been attending classes with SPCK for almost 3 years now, and he absolutely LOVES it! As a parents who is always looking for fun but also engaging camps and classes, SPCK has it all. I especially like that not only do they push my now 5 and half year old to try new things, they also teach him about respecting coaches and other classmates. I have been following Shorme for the past 6 years since my daughter started hip hop class and Shorme was teaching at the Tannery. Her opening Santa Cruz Parkour with Daniel is just an extension of her talent and her amazing approach with kids. My daughter and all the kids adore her. Shorme and Daniel offer quality and next level organizational skill plus tons of fun for our kids. Their program teaches community building, kindness and various skills. My son has been doing parkour with Santa Cruz Parkour since they opened. I have found that, not only has he learned parkour, but learned so much about himself along the way.

I love Santa Cruz Parkour so much! A year ago I was invited to the class by the lovely owners, since then I am a fan. I love all of the coaches and how they coach. The Beism Movement has a great mission of being your best self. Seeing how they work and their passion for uplifting people and inspiring them to become leaders, I feel they deliver this message each class. The practice of being in the moment, having lots of fun and at the same time being safe, building trust worthy relationships with the self and others and so much more I learn each week. Having a good coach in life can make a huge difference in personal growth and I feel greatful for having them. I raccomande this to everyone in town, goooo out and play at Santa Cruz Parkour it's an amazing gym!

My kid has a great time here! They play the music loud and pumped up, which keeps them motivated. Before the first class, my 7 yr old said, "1 hour sounds like too long". But after the class he changed it to, " that wasn't 1 hour, it was only 10 min!" It may be the only sport where the kid actually moves around the entire hour.

The best spot in Santa Cruz for parkour, possibly the ONLY spot! Highly recommend for all ages!

Our daughter loves being active and also lives a lot as an only child. I appreciate that she is able to engage with other kiddos and be empowered during the parkour classes.
