Planet Fresh Gourmet Burritos

It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the shop is so cute! The burritos are giant and some of the best I’ve had, at a fraction of the price for most! We got the Cajun steak and the vegetarian pineapple teriyaki. Both are so good! The salsas are addicting as well! The habanero has just enough bite with a ton of flavor and the sweet and spicy goes perfect with the Asian burritos! If you’re In Santa Cruz, you’ve definitely gotta check out this spot!

I loved this place and ate here for years, but as of 4/11/23, it's not open- even though it says it should be on Google maps. It looks like there's a pop-up japanese thing staged in the entryway, but the building is closed. There were two other people out from that were confused as well, since Google maps said it was open. What happened to Planet Fresh?!

This place was amazing but it unfortunately closed. My will to live has diminished. RIP Planet Fresh. Hope to see you on the other side.

I haven't been to Planet Fresh Burrito in years and I'm so glad I came back! I had a pork burrito bowl with black beans lettuce and salsa and it was PHENOMENAL!
My husband ordered the Thai burrito and his was also excellent with a lovely peanut sauce.
They give you a little side of chips and they do have beer at the restaurant.
The place was cute and clean with fair prices and organic food! What's not to love! We will be back again and again!

My new favorite burrito place in Santa Cruz by far! I'm a local and can't believe I just found this little gem. Wasn't too adventurous, just got the Santa Fe and hubs got the steak burrito but will be branching out next time for sure. Prices are very fair-9-10 bucks for a massive burrito with side of chips. Both of us were able to finish whole burrito, but me just barely. Ingredients were very fresh and flavorful and not greasy or "traditional."

I liked Planet Fresh before they closed sometime ago, but now its even better. I'm blown away by how could their pork is. I got my mom a pork super rolled taco and she asked "where did you get this? the pork is so good" The fact that my very critical mom approves is saying something! Give this place a try. Prices are reasonable and everything is quality from the chips and salsa to the meat and spices!

Great food! I ordered two sets of two tacos because I was hungry - each was a full meal - I had the chicken and the fish - both great main ingredients. Kid had a bean/cheese quesadilla and he loved his. Cheap, good food.

The name of this restaurant really says it all. The portions are planet sized, the food is very fresh, and not your standard fare burritos. This is a choose your own ingredients style burrito place including having it in a bowl, rather than a tortilla and other options. I visit this restaurant every time I visit Santa Cruz, and take my business customers here for lunch and they all agree that it is a must visit.

I've only had the Cajun bowls & chips but they are both to die for! So freaking good! Oh & the customer service is great, they always remember me. I love this place.

I loved the burritos, I loved coming here, the pacific rim, the fish one. THe sauces were amazing and the chips. I loved this place during my college years really miss it.

Great burritos! They have some awesome combinations of flavors. I remember enjoying their peanut butter thai burrito and they have a great salsa bar.

Very nice updated interior, food was great and came out quick. Open layout and open front doors for airflow. Very nice interaction with staff.
