Tacos El Chuy

I had the asada, shrimp, and pastor tacos. Also had the quesabirria tacos with consommé. The asada was perfectly seasoned. It was my favorite. Shrimp was also fantastic. Pastor good but I wouldn’t get it over the asada. The quesabirria was great. Love the crunch of the cheese. The consommé was really good. I prefer sipping it than dipping. I ask for takeout but it’s just a plate covered in foil. Might as well just sit down in the area to eat. A bit disappointed they didn’t have any diet soda. Overall satisfying lunch.

We only tried the Tacos and they were excellent, we kept ordering for more. Unfortunately they don’t sell Horchata, sadly a miss. Regret they can’t place some cocktail tables for dining at the venue.

This place is amazing! Definitely some of the best tacos in Santa Cruz 💙 They have so many options for great prices and everything always comes out perfect. Never too much or too little, the flavors are fresh, the tacos are filling and satisfying, and the workers are friendly. Also, the truck is situated near several restaurants and breweries so the atmosphere (especially on the weekends) is fun and bubbly.

It was sooo good!! I got the birria burrito it was delicious, the Guacamole portion 🤌🏽( i got the spicy one) awsome! Definitely recommend this place if you want some birria tacos or burritos in Santa Cruz!!

Delicious tacos! We stopped on our trip from Montana to southern California via the coast. The tacos were so good and, even though it was raining and we ate them in the car, we really enjoyed them. I had carne asada and carnitas, both were so delicious. My husband had carne asada with just cheese and avocado. Worth the extra cost for him, he said they were some of the best tacos he's had. Totally worth finishing this taco truck.

Personal favorite tacos in Santa Cruz, 4 years of living here. My orders are Carne Asada and Carnitas. Worth the wait and eat them fresh by the truck for the best experience.

Had a horrible dinner at West End Tap Kitchen where I paid $30 for dinner. Tacos el chuy came in for the win. Being from Texas we appreciate a good taco. This place definitely met expectations!!!

These Street Style Tacos are great. Wife and I had veggie, chicken, Al Pastor, Chorizo tacos and all were very fresh and super authentic.

OMG get the quesobirria. This is the best I've ever had. I'm waiting until they open so I can get lunch on my way out of town.
