This was an excellent, excellent meal.

Everything was prepared and served elegantly.

We ordered the tower, salmon belly, deviled eggs, halibut ceviche, poke, and fries to start off.

The tower included wonderful scallops and crab cakes - these were must haves. I’d recommend ordering just these to share; they were that good.

The halibut ceviche and poke were also quite excellent. The fish was fresh and well flavored. The tortilla chips served with the ceviche were a little stale, but overall a minor nit in an otherwise excellent ensemble of appetizers.

The truffle fries were shoestring fries, and honestly felt like frozen fries (not a bad thing). The sauces they came with were good, one was a truffle sauce and the other was ketchup.

For the main appetizers, many in our party ordered the chilean sea bass and the scallops. Both dishes were superb; small portions and high prices but the meal was just very satisfying.

In general, that was the theme of this entire meal - high prices, good food.

We came here for my 30th birthday, we ordered a few appetizers, a bottle of wine and plenty of seafood entrees. Everything was delicious and the service was great, the must is their sashimi!!!
They are thick, fresh and so soft. Worth the price! They also gave me a dessert of my choice and put a candle on it, it was such a pleasant experience, will be back again 🌹

Excellent seafood spot in Bellevue. Very fresh and tasty food, attentive service, and good wine.

Will definitely be back. A bit on the pricier side, but that’s Bellevue.

Great meal and a wonderful experience. This was a business meeting with a client’s CEO CFO and our SVP. The experience was perfect with Gretchen as our server. We had the Sommelier help US with a wonderful pinto noir for our menu. All was delivered in perfect style and perfect portions for 5 people. 4 of which flown in for this meal.

Celebrated my birthday here, and it was an absolute delight! The food surpassed all expectations. I ordered the Steelhead, while my fiancé had the King Salmon—both exceptional. Despite the higher prices, it's an experience worth every penny. Huge thanks to Seastar for the delightful complimentary banana cream pie—such a treat!

Bartender was incredible. Wanted a recommendation for something refreshing and suggested the blood orange Margarita or a new drink called the cobbler. Ended up having both of them and they were not disappointing. Sat down and had a great server who recommended the jambalaya and it was the best I have ever had. This will be a must go every time we are here. Thank you Seastar.

Came here with a large group and enjoyed our time there. We loved the oysters and the salmon nigiri appetizers. The salmon was so soft and perfectly salted and the shisho leaf complemented the fish and rice so well. I got the sea star special sushi, it was so good! The scallop inside was sooo buttery, the entire piece melted in my mouth. Other people in my party got the filet mignon and raved about it. However the bread and the grilled salmon were just ok —not the most spectacular.
Also, I thought it was funny but strange when the waiter said to me, what would you like to drink, we have raspberry lemonade.

Service was top knotch! Started with crab cakes and the seared pork which were both amazing(sorry no pictures, we were hungry 😂)! The cakes had perfectly cooked hunks of crab meat and the pork had an absolutely deliciously sweet soy based glaze/sauce and I was VERY impressed by the scotch selection. My Wagyu tri-tip was cooked to absolute perfection and being accompanied by the mashed potatoes and asparagus it was a meal that dreams are made of! 👍🏽

Amazing food & service! Loved everything about the appetizer, the entree’ & the dessert. It was a seafood extravaganza with Scallops, octopus & fish while we also ordered our favorite Asian chicken and finished with truffle. The staff also whipped me up a non alcoholic drink which was again altered for my palate.

Went there for a business meeting. The poke appetizer was delicious and halibut ceviche was freshing. The enjoyed the salmin and halibut dinner with side of the crab bisque. We closed the meeting off by sharing the upside down pineapple cheesecake. That was fantastic.

Used to work in food service. They are killing it in the front and back of the house. Tried their prefix menu. Won't comment on what I got as it a prefix and probably different then when you go but you should definitely go! Well worth the 80-100+ you will spend.

This restaurant must be my favorite in the surrounding Seattle area.
The kitchen always cooks my salmon to perfection. Seriously, thank you, chef Victor for this amazing food!

We also had the pleasure of being served by Oscar, and the Somme, Jason.

I am so so so impressed by their knowledge, their kindness, and their professionalism. Both Oscar and Jason gave us excellent suggestions and we could not have been more pleased with their service.

I tell everyone how incredible Seastar is! The best!!!

Honestly, I didn’t expect Seastar to have such fresh and sushi/nigiri but I was wrong. The Japanese inspiration showed as the torched salmon belly had shiso leaf for the added crunch, and all the sashimi we got absolutely melted in our mouth. I was pleasantly surprised that this restaurant executed both raw and cooked fish well.

Was there last week with friends and we were very impressed! Their house made sour was delicious (we tried it in a few of their drinks), and the grilled octopus was a winner - great texture! We will definitely be back, because we want to try the whole menu:)

This was my third time of the restaurant, the menu is always the same, and the seafood is always good. I wouldn’t say this is an “good value“ restaurant because while the food is really good, it is overpriced. I am a huge fan of shrimp, tempura sushi, although this is nothing special special compared to other shrimp tempura. I do think the crabcakes are better much better than most crabcakes - although they are small. The salmon was over cooked (we ordered medium rare) but still delicious. When we came in to celebrate a special occasion, they treated us particularly well that night!

Nestled discreetly in the heart of Bellevue, Sea Star presents a gastronomic symphony for seafood aficionados. From the moment you step through its doors, you're greeted with an air of elegance and an aroma that promises an unforgettable culinary journey.
The menu at Sea Star is a testament to the artistry of seafood preparation. Among its stars are the filet mignon, scallops, oysters, sea bass, and salmon, each a masterpiece in its own right. However, it's the salmon that steals the show, quite literally melting in your mouth with every buttery flavorful bite.

Yet, what truly sets Sea Star apart is not just its culinary prowess but also its impeccable service, embodied by none other than the remarkable Pedro. Pedro is more than a waiter; he's a maestro orchestrating a seamless dining experience. His attention to detail, coupled with an extensive knowledge of the menu, elevates the dining experience to new heights. His suggestions and offer of half a salad or soup rather than a full appetizer were all our party needed to add another course. Finally, Pedro's genuine warmth and politeness left a lasting impression, turning a meal into a cherished memory.

However, no establishment is without its flaws, and Sea Star is no exception. The only downside is the noise level within the dining room, which at times can detract from the exchange at the table. Yet, this minor inconvenience pales in comparison to the culinary delights and exceptional service offered by Pedro.

Fantastic restaurant. Had a business meeting and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the service and food. I had the Mahi Mahi and it was cooked to perfection. The fried brussel sprouts and truffle tater tots were a delight. Great wine selection as well. Oysters were fresh, even in November! Worth a try. Maybe date night?😄

Let me start that we’ve been looking for a place with oysters forever that day and visit 5 different places where they run out of them 🙄🤷🏼‍♀ and this place was our last hope. We came there and were surprised 😮 place looks very nice, stuff amazing! Literally every person in this place super sweet and nice!
So let’s just admit pluses and minuses
Pluses:
1. Stuff amazing
2. Food great, fast and delicious
3. Oysters the best I tried in the whole USA (second place goes to oysters in Maine)
4. Allowed to come with my service dog
5. Drinks excellent (he created and made it right in front of us and it was cool!)
Minuses:
0
Highly recommend this place❤
Sorry for pictures, we ate everything right 3 seconds after it arrived 😂🤷🏼‍♀

Expensive but great for a celebration dinner. I'd return for sushi and drinks, their rosemary old fashioned was very good, and this is coming from someone who judges the rest of the bar and establiment by their old fashioned. The sushi was on point with well balanced texture, rice seasoning, ingredients. The grilled salmon was near perfect but slightly over my personal preference. However the grill marks imparted a most wonderful char and aroma likely from previously cooked beef fat, that I would love to enjoy again, and the garlic mash had great texture, flavor and, in a rare occurrence didn't need salt like so many other high end restaurants.
