The (recorders, why i'm mad at treasurer follows....) website says they are open to five M-F. So, I walk over to get a homestead declaration recorded. I arrived at 4.33 and was sent away. Why can't they just say they close to the public at 4:30? why???  This on top of call i got two weeks ago where Carson City Treasurer called to tell me if I don't pay a $24.22 outstanding tax bill (obviously some interest charge because maybe i came in a day late) they were putting a lien on my house (worth $900,000) they next day!!! Government employees especially department heads are why many people come to hate government... Vote for the most anti government candidates you can. They really are just functionaries who don't care especially at the city level. .. argh.
