Aurora Mediterranean Restaurant

We read good reviews about this place and it really was excellent. We were visiting from Georgia and wanted to try Mediterranean food in Fairbanks. What better place than what it's famous for?! Aurora! It's a simple looking place, we think more for take out than dine in. We dined in. The owner greeted us with a smile and answered our questions with patience. We ordered chicken shawarma and steak kabob with fries and lentil soup. Every item was absolutely delicious! 👌🏼😋 Owner came to ask us how everything was. Once we were done we asked him where to put our dirty dishes. He just waved at us and said don't worry. That was very sweet. Thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommend eating there.

Food was amazing, prices were fair, and service was great. We'll be back for sure. Dining area is small and really busy, but also very clean.

The food was so delicious and the hot sauce was actually a little spicy! I got a bowl and I will definitely be returning as the prices are good and food is amazing. Atmosphere was not intimate or classy, but loud dives are what seem to hold all the best foods in Fairbanks.

The best Middle Eastern food in Fairbanks. It is not a fancy place more like for a casual meal or take away, but I love it! I have lived in Jerusalem for some time and the food has the closest taste to the food in Jerusalem and loved the Amr Diab music inside 😍

Delicious!! A must here in Fairbanks!! A little gem, the gyro and falafel were outstanding. The fries were a nice surprise. Clean, the staff friendly and the food amazing!!! Just a nice place to have a good lunch, as a local , I totally appreciate that. Priced right, cannot wait to get back😊

Falafel bowl and Halloumi cheese bowl (both veg) were super good.
Baklava and Tiramisu are okayish.

The food is consistently incredible. High value for the level of delicious and consistency. (My go-to order is the chicken shawarma wrap and side of babaganoush.)

Great Lebanese food with vegetarian options. The food is made to order. It's fresh from the grill. Just two words awesome and delicious. Nice service. The ambience may be improved, but the food is the highlight, must eat spot.

Absolutely amazing food..every meat cooked perfectly be it chicken beef or lamb. Great salads and sauces... the chef has finesse and knows his stuff. Fairbanks is lucky..wish we had him in Seattle. The food would be the best Mediterranean/Arab food in the northwest.

This place is toasty WARM inside, and super clean! Awesome music that makes you want to dance, and fantastic customer service. I came here because a friend of mine is obsessed with the food here, and now I wish I had come in sooner! I ordered the Kofta Bowl, spicy. Yum! I want to come back and try everything on the menu. Why didn’t I try this place sooner - I need to make up for lost time kind of place! The FLAVORS!!! I highly recommend the Aurora Mixed Grill! The best!

Simple setting, in what may have been an Italian restaurant or pizza place based on paintings on the wall, with good food and service. The lentil soup was very good. I'd be back just for that. Had the gyro patter and enjoyed it as well. A surprise first meal on Fairbanks. If here it's worth the stop. Provecho

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in the US and the BEST Mediterranean restaurant in ALASKA. Excellent food, friendly staffs, plenty of parking and decent number of tables for seating. Food was prepared after you place the order, so it was served fresh and hot. Highly recommend to try Chicken Kabob platter/bowl, Falafel plate and Butter Chicken. If you are looking to have good Mediterranean food in FAIRBANKS, look no further than Aurora Mediterranean Restaurant.

So delicious. You walk in and place your order, then find a seat. I love this kind of place, much easier for families. Their plates are pretty big, so come hungry. I got the kabob plate and my husband the gyro. Both were amazing and fresh. The sauces are next level. I highly recommend this spot.

This is easily the best, most consistent restaurant in Fairbanks. I’ve never had a bad meal here! We just moved and it was our last dinner before we started our move. You won’t regret trying Aurora!

I have tried a ton of amazing Mediterranean food so I was worried it would not be as good as what I’m used to and they did not disappoint!! Everything went soo well together with so much flavor! The portion size was just enough to get full a must try in Fairbanks!

You are not gonna get a better experience, with the quality of the food and a price as good as this place. I was blown away with the cleanliness of the restaurant and the speed at which I got my order. And those prices!!
If you are looking for a clean, friendly atmosphere, an amazing menu with quality dishes, and a price that beats every other restaurant than this is the place for you.
Dare I say, this is the best restaurant (for now) here in Fairbanks.
