Capt Harrells Seafood House

This is my first time at this establishment but it will NOT be my last 😋. I ordered the Thai Shrimp Tacos, Hot Crab, Spinach, and Artichoke Dip, and Chicken Tenders for my son. Those tacos and dip were absolutely AMAZING 😍. My son enjoyed his chicken strips and fries as well. The portions are plentiful and the prices are reasonable. I definitely recommend ❤❤❤

This place is a hidden gem. It is much larger inside than it appears on the outside. The decorations are modern and inviting. A perfect place to meet for an after work drink and appetizer, or a special occasion dinner. The seafood was fresh, well prepared and moderately priced. We will definitely eat here again.

I love that I can get a seafood platter without shrimp. Food was excellent and the portions very generous.

These are the hush puppies and platter dish broiled with catfish you can also get flounder and fried. The platter dish comes with a choice of two sides. I chose the seasonal vegetables and salad It was all very good

A true hidden gem. Stumbled upon this restaurant by pure chance. Was a great find. Service was great and so was the food. If ever in the area highly recommend, nice menu variety.

Walking in it is very clean and has a nice atmosphere.We ordered fish tacos which tasted so fresh! The oysters were also a hit. My son ordered the burger which was a little dry BUT this isn't a burger place, it is fresh seafood so it gets a pass! We recommend all of our out of town visitors to give it a try!

Best broiled seafood platter I have ever consumed! It was well worth its price. A large and tasty portion of flounder, scallops, shrimp and crab cake all seasoned and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were also the best ever!

Food and service was great. My crab cake was well broiled and the fries were great. We visited during off peak hours, and our experience felt intimate and special. Thanks for a tasty quick meal as we wrapped up our visit!

I ate here for the first time. The broiled crab cake was fabulous, the fries were hand-cut and delicious.

The waiter was so accommodating, friendly and efficient. I will definitely return and bring others.

I drive a school Bus for Poquoson, and stopped for lunch. It was my first time eating at Capt Herrells, but definitely won't be my last. The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice, clean and quiet. The fresh caught flounder sandwich and fresh cut fries were fantastic 👏 my compliments.

I ordered party platters for a small birthday dinner party that consisted of a variety of fried seafood. The food was neatly and nicely arranged on platters which transported well and also reasonably priced I felt. The food was well received by everyone at the party. Interacting with the staff at the restaurant via telephone was efficient and easy. Everyone was kind and very accommodating. Overall, a very good first experience with this restaurant.

Delicious seafood. Lightly breaded flounder was amazing. Scallops perfect. Oysters fantastic. Even the salad was nice and fresh. Friendly service. Some of the best seafood I've had in quite a while. Looking forward to going back and trying some other menu items. Support local business and give them a try.

My wife and I have been there twice now since they’ve opened the doors and neither visit has disappointed. We’ve both ordered different meals each time and all choices have been delicious. The rotation of seasonal veggies are awesome, the succotash was to die for. The customer service is also on point. Also, don’t forget to order the hush puppies for an appetizer.

Sister in law and I visited Capt.Harrells today. She had the flounder sandwich. I had the catfish sandwich. We had french fries with both. Both sandwickes were GREAT. Very large portion of flounder on her sandwich. Ashley our server was on top of everything and very pleasant. We will go back.

Relatively new restaurant with great food and a great wait staff. I had their Tuna steak sandwich (blackened) - was one of the best I've ever had. If you're in Poquoson and looking for a great lunch destination (especially seafood) I highly recommend trying Capt Harrells.

Awesome.......best seafood dinner had in long time.......I had fried flounder and shrimp platter...fries fresh cut .... and side salad added blue cheese crumbles and bacon.... divine......destiny was great server fun gave us lots help and great personality...... hope everyone has a lunch/dinner once in there lifetime......Jason from north Carolina visiting colonial Williamsburg for week....

We LOVE Capt Harrells Seafood House. It's a cozy atmosphere with food that does not disappoint. We've eaten here several times and try something new on the menu each time. Love this place!

Hidden wonder! It's really too easy to miss this gem! Fair prices on excellent seafood. Get the oysters rock a Harrell, and then prepare to be unable to return without getting it again!

The food was reasonably priced and so very delicious! The portions were also generous! The wait staff was friendly and prompt. Will definitely return!

Service was great but food was even better!!! Oysters, french fries, shrimp, and butter beans were amazing!! Can’t wait to come back to try more entrees
