DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Norfolk Airport

This hotel was clean and mid-scale luxury. Rooms are large and clean bathrooms had Evelyn and Crabtree toiletries just in case you left yours behind. I love how they give out the freshly baked chocolate chip 🍪. Nice touch. The staff are great! Kind and took care of all our needs. Our company was there on business and had our dinner catered by the hotel. The hotel did a fabulous job. The roasted chicken was divine, and tender with a honey taste to it. We also had beef with mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Everything was exquisite 👌. Even the iced tea was amazing I was able to drink it straight without sugar. Great job DT! Thanks for your service

Clean rooms, fast check in, close enough to the airport and provided a free shuttle service. Looks like this place is nearly renovated. They were painting the lobby when I arrived. Ignore the negative reviews. I’m in a different hotel in a different city each night. You won’t be disappointed, unless you’re a high maintenance, toxic person who can’t figure out how to dry a towel in a hotel room.

The location was just what I needed to attend/visit Norfolk Botanical Gardens finally. The room and service(including dinner menu & breakfast) was more than enough and delicious. If you’re a crab fan, try the crab cake sandwich.

The shower and hot water met my every need, also. I’m impressed with this immaculate well kept property.

The manager, Crystal, went over and beyond to accommodate my need which really helped to make my visit to Norfolk and stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Norfolk Airport a pleasure and I hope to pass on my satisfaction/ awesome experience to my relatives and friends along the way.

Edited: 04/02/24 @ 6:54 pm . I check my account to make a purchase and discovered The DoubleTree hotel has put an authorization on my account(after the manager had refunded it back Monday yesterday)…now acct will be overdrawn.

Someone or Something is going on with my bank account…. $50 has been authorized by this hotel after it was settled that due to my hardship with the authorization( I wasn’t quoted the extra $50 fee by desk clerk when I made reservations… I was quoted $60.50 for rate one night. I was given vouchers for meals $50 value which I didn’t even use the entire amount.

The extra $50 now will make my account overdrawn because some of that was used for entry fee to Norfolk Botanical Gardens.

So there’s a communication issue and I’ve called the hotel and left a verbal message with the evening front desk and plus I’ve left a voicemail on manager’s office voicemail. Something is seriously wrong.

The hotel and rooms were clean, updated, and quiet. It made for a restful night before flying out the next day.

I was stranded to candle wood suits at 1am in morning with my confirmed reservation online and when I get there they said we don’t have any room available besides I have confirmation when I booked thru my IHG app. So I had to call bunch of hotel around the area and finally Abel to get here and it was nice experience at front desk. Easy check in process and finally I able to hit bed at 2am.

Celebrated cousin's 60th Birthday here. The food was delicious and well-seasoned; baked chicken, salmon, green beans and broccoli medley, rolls and breadsticks, fresh garden salad (Italian dressing was delicious). Deserts were apple crisp, raspberry topped cheesecake, caramel topped cheesecake and bread pudding. The staff was amazingly friendly and available. The facility was spacious and very accommodating. It was an awesome event!

We stayed her and the front desk staff immediately started our stay off great! They were so friendly and personable. They were two younger guys who were funny, kind, and supper efficient. Our rooms were clean and very nice. Very happy with our stay. Great staff great stay

Updated rooms on the third floor (pictured). Construction seems to be finishing up and I didn’t hear any noise. Close to the airport, but not a lot within walking distance due to busy roads without sidewalks. The hotel shuttle will drop you off and pick you up at a restaurant if you ask nicely. Breakfast was good.

Last minute check in for two rooms. The desk receptionist was extremely helpful. No rental cars were available and she went out of her way to get us to a location that was close but more than two miles away. The driver was also extremely nice. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Stayed there for a weekend for a bowling tournament. Staff was courteous and professional. Room was large, clean. One note....lock your cars.

Had an absolutely pleasant stay at Double Tree Hotel Norfolk Airport. The rooms are incredibly spacious and impeccably clean, creating a comfortable and restful environment that stands out among other hotels in this price range.

From the moment you step in, you'll appreciate the welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere of this hotel. The high level of cleanliness is consistent not just in the rooms, but across the entire property.

Very clean and modern facility.
The staff is very nice, especially at the front desk
There is renovation going on right now (mid-Oct) so the elevators are a little slow but I don't hear any construction noises.
Check out the bar and grill, they have a nice bar menu - the pork belly nachos were very tasty and we enjoyed the flight of street tacos (pulled chicken, battered cod, and pork belly).

All in all, it was great. They were renovating, so there wasn't a vending machine available, but other than that, we loved it.

Omg! The best stay ever! Except for that creepy one elevator kept making weird noises freaking me out. Only one was working, but outside of that it was marvelous we enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were nice, and we definitely enjoyed ourselves at the bar!

We had the pleasure of staying here recently. The renovations are beautiful and the staff is top notch. We would like to thank night manager Chris and front staff member Marquis for their professionalism, courtesy and graciousness. They both went above and beyond to ensure that our visit was wonderful. They both shared restaurant and entertainment suggestions. It was a very busy weekend for the hotel, but we were always met with a smile and a cookie. I cannot say enough, how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again Chris and Marquis for your exceptional service.

Good hotel. The elevators were a bit old and run down - but they're currently working on them - so I'll give them a pass there. Otherwise, the rooms was clean, well put together, and the hotel in general is very nice. I've no arguments.

The staff at this hotel especially the front desk staff. Drayzey and Tiffany were very helpful . They went above and beyond during my stay . The room was really nice as well. There are many hotels to chose from but customer service is what i look for . Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond .

We had a great stay. Place was renovated and beautiful. Rooms were clean. Great breakfast at the restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel because my family was hosting an event here with one of the banquet halls. So I did not do my normal due diligence and check reviews. But I wasn't disappointed.
It's not a newer property they are doing renovations. The elevator needs some attention.
But I would like to say some staff there made my stay excellent. Marquis at the front seat was helpful and professional
from the time I called from the airport requesting the shuttle and at check in when I arrived. Jimmy from housekeeping was helpful for our needs. A lady first name starts with I she was helpful during checkout

You just wanna feel great on vacation. My only real complaint was the tv satellite. The room was clean
And the shower was nice and hot.
